The subs really are ruining the balance (such as it is...), at least if you are playing DDs. And especially, if the numbers are small, or the battle is close to end. Their torps are nasty enough, but their deck gun is just laughably OP compared to DDs in terms of fire power.

Those sort of gifts would come by email and need to be claimed. The old rule still holds true, don't accept gifts from strangers. The Trojans learned this the hard way...

So... technically speaking, it really was entirely possible to get Puerto Rico entirely free... as long as you were like iEarlGrey given the doubloons entirely free by WG. And wasn't Malik the guy who was quite exemplary in the way he used his credit card to get the Puerto Rico... the honest way. Though, I don't know if he used his personal credit card or a company expense account to do it.

I think that was iEarlGrey. He got promptly sacked for that stunt as his version of 'free' was to use doubloons all the way. The official Lesta version seems to have been 'free' meant using your credit card... go figure, don't see much difference there so I wonder what the fuss was. You may choose to believe iEarlGrey's version that he wanted to demonstrate how ludicrous was the WG claim that it was entirely possible ehem... pardon me , entirely possible to get the ship free.

Yes, that's pretty much taken as granted, because a ship with watertight compartments should have survived a head on impact like that. So.. the order would have been initially, hard a-starboard meaning turn hard to port. However, with the engines stopped, or even worse, if ordered full astern... that would make the ship turn much much slower as opposed to full speed ahead. I've always been fascinated by the Titanic. This vid is interesting by itself, but there's also no need to run into the chart room for a magnifying glass to be able to spot them (though, in reality in olden times they would have used a telescope to make out a ship and her ensign). Now, if we were to have actual clan flags in game, they'd all be pretty much the same size as the naval ensigns in the game (sometimes historically inaccurately depicted...) or the additional flags we can opt to fly in addition to the ensign. Both of those are roughly the same size, the problem is with incorrect proportions (which you can correct with some of the mods available). There's have to be a suitable spot for the clan flag, also, would the spot vary depending on the ship and the nation? I don't actually see that there is any technical or a legal reason for WG not to implement them, it just seems to be that they have zero interest in it, even though nobody is expecting this to be a free addition to the game (as, indeed, are not the clans themselves or the optional clan emblem in WoT/WoWP?). The picture quality is adequate, the musical score is amazing fun.

They seem happy to do this with clan emblems in WoT, though.
