    Well.. depending on the time period, from a historical perspective the greatest danger would come from other capital ships, whether BB's or CV's. Sub threat should be negligable for any BB's in convoy, nonexistant in fleet engagements.

    Yeah.. I'm giving up on randoms myself but if I were to play them I'd now make ASW capable ships as 'Primary' ships and drop the others from the randoms.

    Yeah but do the secondaries actually hit and do they do damage? I've always been somewhat interested in secondary builds, but pretty much the only ships they ever made sense was the German BB's and Massa. And this is the pre-rework situation I'm talking about.

    1. You need to see if the same skillset will work there. 2. Same as 1, but rather more doubtful that the same skillset is going to be of any use; remember, as they are all BB's you can only have one BB captain build at a time. 3. I haven't got Lütjens.. or those ships. You need to think which ships in each of the available classes will best benefit from his skills so you can build around those most effectively.

    Fine.. but the game is still rather short on ships, why divert resources to boats then.. Good thing they aren't wasting valuable resources on something secondary like excellent maps, fun and engaging game modes, historical and exciting battle scenarios or other such garbage "content" that nobody is interested in...

    Spotted @gabberworld on Groeningen in my last battle. Which was a short one. I was demonstrating the often said 'truth' that you keep hearing on the forumn how 'fire damage is recoverable'. I failed to see how, though, exactly...

    Yes, in division you can have team work. So best keep your apples and oranges separate. They don't taste too good together.

    Anyway, it seems it would be better if radar could not 'see' through rocks, (as it would also be much better if we had no rocks to begin with...), but if we wanted the radar to function realistically, it should be running constantly. Furthermore... if the radar were running constantly, the contacts should only appear as blips on the screen, not actual real ships that you can visually target and pew pew at. These sort of changes would not be welcomed by a certain element of the playerbase.

    A slight over dramatization, I think. I would assume in reality they had to deal with leaky pipes, decayed fire hoses, empty equipment lockers, rusty or missing equipment and all the other blessed joys of life under the Toolkit Banner.

    Well.. I don't know if I'm in the vocal minority here... but IMO the counter to the CV's is CV... or it's supposed to be.

    Yeah well they ain't gonna make much more money out of my pockets any more. In retrospect, I think the captain skill rework was the final straw that broke my ship's keel. There was some inertia involved so the timing of when my interest in the game collapsed conincided with the 'Miserygate', but in reality, it was the captain skill rework that did it. Up until then the game had remained at least semi-playable for me, worth spending some money, worth investing some time to collect one to two daily containers, sometimes, on a good day which were rare, up to three containers.

    Agreed, there has to be some mechanism to vary the dispersion and accuracy in the game. Overall, if things were right, the game mechanics would cover all the various 'limitations' that exist in reality, but which cannot otherwise be represented in the game. I do, of course, have a super simple solution to the 'Radar vs. Islands' problem. Let's remove at least one of them completely. I don't like radar when I'm out there in my DD, but the problem with the radar is only appears to be connected with the radar, when in reality it has to do with limited spotting ability, specifically the islands blocking the radar cruisers out of your view. Removing the islands is the way to go!

    Those Belarusian buttons only work intermittently, though, or so it seems. Or perhaps the firefighters and repair crew are sticklers for workers' rights when it comes to their regulatory vodka breaks.
