But beauty lies in imperfection and asymmetry.

Oh but you are gravely mistaken about t4 being dead...

Will Musashi ever Return to the Shop?
Karasu_Browarszky replied to Sunleader's topic in General Discussion
Saying Musashi 'is not that good' is like... I dunno. Even I can make Musashi work in battle, and unless I get to benefit from a sudden spell of devine intervention it must be the ship. Granted, in a tier X environment, I'd rather have the Yamato, but that is essentially the case with nearly every ship out there, with the exception of some tier 9 DD's maybe. For some reason there's a red Sarcasm Alert light blinking on my bridge. -
Now we know how bots can have so many ships in Coop and Ops.

Sub blog out. Cheat torps retained, but other asked-for changes are implemented
Karasu_Browarszky replied to SodaBubbles's topic in General Discussion
A mixed bag, but I think I will stick to Coop for now. I'll be monitoring the situation in the randoms when these changes will have gone into effect. -
Latest blog shows WG again moving in right direction

I thought 'right' means family values. Does this have an affect on the PEGI rating? -
Will Musashi ever Return to the Shop?
Karasu_Browarszky replied to Sunleader's topic in General Discussion
I wonder why certain very desirable, and very historical ships have their supply limited through artificial means... -
We already have class restricted areas.. one up in the air, the other below the surface. Still a good idea you think?

Wargaming.net Game Center - Feedback.
Karasu_Browarszky replied to Flaming_Bunny's topic in General Discussion
Wow. Never even knew of this option myself, cheers! It's the 2nd option that does that. -
What minimap? Where?

you earn too little silver compared to the repair costs
Karasu_Browarszky replied to The_Ricko's topic in General Discussion
Yeah.. pretty much the only real way to get bankrupt creditswise in WoWS is using Research Bureau or blowing your credits on the Lighthouse... -

Karasu_Browarszky replied to The_Ricko's topic in General Discussion
They'v already made all the necessary adjustments. That is why you are making so little silver. -
Now that is an enticing thought...

Another "Important message for the community"

Uhu.. like those medieval town criers. You can bet they were accompanied by someone carrying a big club in case some of the peasants were hard of hearing...- 48 replies

What a fearsome camo, and an even fearsomer flag!

Fake vs. Real?...

My sentiments exactly...

Curious... Though, it may be that WG servers are using some kind of a 'threshold value' that acts as a minimum before letting people log in.

Seems nobody knows the answer to that question, least of all WG themselves... Basically, if you balance the game in terms of ship potential, the ship classification etc. become meaningless. From gameplay point of view this is a problem, because if certain ships are more powerful than others, the playerbase will flock to those and then everybody will end up playing them. Given choice, few would pick Warspite for a battle if they could pick Yamato instead. The balancing, if possible, would have to be based on BB vs BB, on intraclass and not on interclass considerations. That, again.. would lead to problems classwise because then everyone would only want to play BB's... unless the other classes were somehow balanced in such a way, that playing them would remain meaningful in terms of their impact on the course of battle. The issue here is how likely, or how easy should it be for ships belonging to different classes to be able to damage and/or sink ships of the differing classes. Note, importantly, that outside of WG's chosen gameplay style, damaging and crippling a capital ship is easier than sinking such a ship and typically achieves an acceptable strategic outcome.
-
Do you also remember that they were a convoy in transit, not engaged in combat against an enemy force?... hmm?...
-
Technically speaking, it could have been entirely possible within the timeframe even though not in the real timeline. These ships coexisted in the same WW2 era. How'd you balance them in terms game design, is another matter, although I think that would also be technically possible to achieve. You'd have to think in terms of Era and Combat Proficiency classification relative to how ships belonging to older designs (refitted or not) would fit in with ships of newer design.

Has anyone specified ASW ship upgrades or Captain skills?
Karasu_Browarszky replied to Admiral_H_Nelson's topic in General Discussion
Nnnnope. Furthermore, all my captains now have ALL captain skills reset and will remain so. Further furthermore, I now also run several ships without any captain at all. -
Well, at least that would be a straightforward solution. They could also go the convoluted route of having people press an unrelated key first to bring up a separate sub panel for ASW commands followed by a third subpanel for Confirmation Key.

People are clearly enjoying submarines. Thank you for your understanding.

Well, as for BB's, of course, only Japan has a real T10 BB. If Musashi was not downgraded to tier 9, you could justifiably claim that Japan could have two real t10 BB's.
