Technically speaking, Stalingrad is not a premium ship. It's a special ship, albeit a steel ship and steel being the most valuable in game resource apart from doubloons, I can understand your sentiment. -

I know what you are saying. I've always stuck to the English forum myself, but I assume people who have had a native language forum to choose from, may have actually kept tabs on both. The advantage of the English forum is that it is probably the largest in terms of forumites, threads, and posts. -
I still haven't seen the return of the 75 doubloon per slot special we once had. 150 is the lowest reduced price I've seen for years now. I wouldn't want to buy them at 300 doubloon value. My alt account is struggling because of this, I have to severely limit my selection of ships, nations, classes and tiers to the barest minimum there. I'm focusing on tier 4, and tiers 5 and 6 there (for Ops).

Would we want to know? I find Okhotnik an oddity, a ship that looks like a switch blade and cuts like a blade of grass. Since WG seems to want to preserve it historically accurate (xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo.....), perhaps we could get a fictional copy paste version with an imaginery refit, much like what the Bayern is now... -

Well, of course... but it would have taken a real idiot to take a battle fleet that close... and the islands might have been more shallow in profile as well, plus in WW2 there was probably aerial reconnaissance as well. -

How do we know? I don't recall any battle where they used a radar to smoke out ships hiding behind an island. I don't actually recall any historical battle where hidden ships might have been behind an island in battle to begin with... -

However, if the armour is irrelevant... ships that can compensate for lack of armour can be expected to do much better. Again, though, this is not a problem with Zao itself. -
It's better to go for captains than gimmicky ships. There's little point in accumulated a vast clutter of port queens, most of which you'll nearly never take out anyway. Plus, there's the factor of power creep, addition of new gimmicky ships, it's a neverending journey on a hamster wheel. It's better to make informed choices that give you best variety in terms of game play, because you can only really control your own choices, not the ever changing meta.

Hmm.. didn't bother to check, but I seem to remember depth charges are set to detonate at varying depths as there's no way of knowing where you need to aim. If they worked even semi-realistically, that is. If they did, there's actually no need to aim as long as they would drop and detonate in proximity of the enemy submarine. -

Personally, I don't think Zao has a problem. It's the tier X meta that is the problem. -
