It does. Specifically starting with the re-introduction of all the old Operations/Scenario Battles, and then expanding into new content. Will we get that from WG is, of course, an entirely different question.

Since I would love to have a modernized Nagato on tier 9, as long as the performance would be similarly adjusted, can't say that I can really complain if that's how it's going to be. Not that it justifies the usual levels of BS we keep getting from WG, of course.

Seems I'm a little late for the party but... We don't really use that 'git gud' in WoWS, this is more something intrinsic to WoT. (What we say is more like 'Aha! You've hidden your stats!' ) However... we don't encourage people to go watch YT videos while in active battle... I don't see why people complain about MM so much. I've never seen a game where the MisMatcher does such an admirable job! The -+2 tier MM is part of this game, for good or worse. This isn't the actual problem, per se, the problem at the core is that WG has done such a shoddy job with balancing that you get ships in the same battle that have no place being in the same battle with ships of significantly higher performance potential. At this point I typically advocate the Era based system which would allow only such ships to join the same battle that can be reasonably expected to play a meaningful role in battle and have the capability of influencing the course of battle. In other words, I don't see this as an MM related problem, it's more down to incredibly bad implementation of poorly devised gameplay design. This was not as apparent originally, when we essentially only had two nations with limited tech trees. Right now, it's a huge problem. What you can do is kinda limited. You have to figure out which ships are playable for you, given the limitations of game design and the ships themselves. You aren't doing anybody any favors trying to play ships that don't work for you. As suggested by others, coop is an alternative for such ships. Also, you don't have to grind all the lines right away, there are options that are better suited for different playstyles. Pick those that you feel comfortable with. Additionally, game play deteriorates when you go past tier 7 which is good to keep in mind. Many others, like myself, experience more of these problems on high tiers than on low to mid tiers. My achilles heel in particular are the cruisers, so I mostly play those in coop or operations. Mostly in random only when it comes to low to mid tiers. In short, make the system as it is work for you instead of trying to fight it.

It might simply be that the intention is that the players put in more money to hold onto their previous gains, as it were. If that sounds familiar to you, it's the same principle that lead to the 1929 stock market crash.... meaning you either need to bail out early or be ready to throw (lots of) good money after bad.

The servers work fine even with VPN and very high ping. High ping will cause latency, and you many notice this in how you need to lead more to hit the ships, meaning the ship is actually ahead of the position you see it in. The Desync issue is also still there, AFAIK. What you were describing, however, sounds more like complete loss of connection for a few seconds. When this happens, your ship kind of freezes, then possibly leaps forward and so on. While this could be a server side issue, in which case it would affect everyone in battle, there'd be a lot of D/C and so on. If it's just basically you, then it's not a server side issue but somewhere between your location/PC and the servers.

So the game really is historical. That's.. outright hysterical!
