This is something that the game meta is not encouraging people to learn.

The point is you will need to make several calls based on what information you have. The maps typically generate copy paste battles, so with enough experience you can start making educated guesses. It's still easy to guess wrong though, because you never know if every player is going to play by the cookie cutter format or if they plan to go rogue. Or just AFK...

Perhaps poor Sigimundus is temporarily unable to provide any verbal input?

To me this sounds a bit like input lag... also, the WG UI can't handle well simultaneous key presses.. actually, I don't think it can handle them at all.

I'm using so many mods from the Modstation, I'm not going to spend hours trying to figure out which one it is. UI/Battle Interface would seem a likely culprit, or then some visual mods, perhaps. Repeating the known fixes from yesterday, in case some people have missed them. It's worse for people who don't use the forums (or possibly Reddit etc), though the likelihood of them using the vanilla client is bigger too. 1. Use 'Safe mode'. OR 2. Re-install your mods.

Two 'fixes' I know the player can do. 1. Safe mode. or 2. Re-install your mods. With either of those, I didn't get this 'stuck' issue, at least as far as the situation was yesterday.

In which case, they can at least temporarily still make use of the 'Safe mode' option. Since they aren't using any mods to begin with, the functionality of the game itself should not change.

Oh, mate... I don't sit still, it's a battle, not a mediterranean holiday. I have to make the call in the first 30 seconds of the battle based on the 'lovely' characteristics of the map design and what I can assume my team mates are up to, hoping they know at least that much, of course. Most people either disperse like a flock of hens in every possible direction, or seem blissfully unaware of the many super magnetic rocks WG has chosen to strew on virtually every bleeding map of theirs... ...bar one.

We know of two 'fixes', one is to run the game in 'Safe mode', the other is to reinstall all the mods with the Modstation. Obviously, those who have not used any mods will only have 'Safe mode' option available for them.

Running the game in safe mode should work for you, as you can't reinstall any mods, technically speaking.

Yes, seems to be mods related. Solutions, as suggested. 1. Safe mode (for a temporary 'fix'). 2. Reinstall all mods. (for what I hope to be a more permanent fix...)

This seems to be the case. Safe mode works too, but if you want the mods, reinstalling them seems to be the only way to go. Not sure why people without any mods got the same issue though.

I think the patch hit me after I restarted the game. So my game is now patched up... unless there was some new patch in the works. This one was about 30 MB size. Could still log into the EU servers at least.... but I too.. now have the 'stuck in the battle screen' issue.... EDIT Running the game immediately in SAFE MODE let me rejoin the battle. Newsflash.. the 'SAFE mode' is not really 'safe'.

Just a thought... does this function interpret any installed mods as something that needs to be fixed?

Let's hope scheduled server maintanence will fix at least some of the current problems.

Right now the problem is kind of selective. I haven't experienced it, haven't re-installed anything, running the regular mods I use without problems so far.

One particular problem I have not having researched the modules first time around is I get outranged by a lot of the enemy ships in battle. With DD's around.. don't feel like pushing against them either, might work if I somehow ended up on the stronger flank, but that is a rare occasion for me.

I checked, but it doesn't seem to get ticked for me with updates. My settings remained the same. I'm not sure if I'm 'stingy by default'...
