For most naval powers this should not be a problem. Also, having 'complete' tech trees seems like a bit of a fixation.
-
Which is something I will never understand, because while, understandably, Yamato is there at tier X, it is fairly inconceivable that the leading naval powers are lacking real tier X BB's...
-
Well, yes... if you use the UPR as a starting point for an alternate history timeline tech tree. It's not like WG hasn't already done something similar with the higher tiers of the Soviet techtrees...

I don't think we can expect much more than maintanence mode for the most immediate future. Basically, I'd welcome more variety and options in terms of the gameplay we are getting. The balance issues in the game are pretty bad, but unless WG commits to a total overhaul of the balance system, I don't see how it can realistically improve.

Had a look at what Wikipedia had to say: " The French government recognized the Soviet Union in 1924 and gave ownership of the ships to the Soviets. A technical commission directed by Alexei Krylov arrived in Bizerte in December and found the warships unrepairable. The ships were sold as scrap metal by the Soviet government in Bizerte. " https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wrangel's_fleet Also this: " Paris demanded the members of the Russian Navy squadron to evacuate the ships and warships anchored in the port of Bizerte, after they had been forced to reside there for a period of 4 years as a precaution. " https://www.tellerreport.com/news/2021-03-27-bizerte--tunisia--was-their-last-stop-----a-museum-that-tells-the-story-of-6-thousand-russian-sailors-who-sought-refuge-in-tunisia-during-the-bolshevik-revolution-.H1YZB3ihVu.html Bizerte really was their last port.

This ship had better stock a number of jacks onboard. She kept changing navies. Apparently, as Volya she was actually apparently operated by the RN. Then, turned over to the fleet of one of those distant cousins of mine (who was very very tall) and renamed General Alekseyev. Eventually she ended up in the bunch of ships that were under the command of yet another of those distant cousins of mine (it seems to be a very small world...), Admiral Mikhail Berens, evacuating people from the Crimea and ending up in Bizerte. Mikhail's brother Yevgeni Berens served briefly as the commander of the Soviet Navy. The two brothers ended up on opposing sides.... (Nikita Mihalkov makes a mention of them in Russians Deprived of Russia, 2003). A very historical vessel, accurate or not, I'd buy her too!

What is certain is that WG is going to be busy for a good while. Even the devs won't be immune to this as far as they live in Russia or Belarus. Not to mention their staff in Kiev.
-
Who's to say....
-
WG will really need their non-CIS customers a lot in the very near future. Without trying to be nasty about it, there aren't going to be many paying customers in Ukraine or even Russia/Belarus, once the sanctions will hit with full force.

I can give you some data I found. https://dev.by/news/burkatovskiy

There are, theoretically, some limited options for having a Ukrainian tech tree... well, it would not be very big tree unless the doors of the Lesta Cafeteria Napkin Cabinet were to reveal something very unexpected... Black Sea Fleet Russian battleship Georgii Pobedonosets (November 9, 1917) Russian cruiser Pamiat Merkuria (1907) (November 12, 1917) Russian destroyer Zorkiy (November 12, 1917) Russian destroyer Zvonkiy (November 12, 1917) Russian Battleship Volya (previously Imperator Aleksandr III) (November 22, 1917) Russian battleship Imperatritsa Ekaterina Velikaya From: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Navy_of_the_Ukrainian_People's_Republic The problem, of course, is that all their ships would actually be Russian ships, so it's a little unlikely that we will ever see such a tech tree in the game.

Sounds pretty normal for this forum...
-
That's probably because WG hasn't bothered to build this game around proper combat roles for the ships having instead chosen to balance them around varying gimmicks and dodgy game mechanics. It sort of works, at times at least, but with more and more ships and gimmicks having been added, the game's now a total shambles.

If you can live with that pasta sauce container thingy that is.

Well, the portrait can be changed with mods, but the voice is a little more difficult. As I understand it, it's the National+ setting that allows you to hear the special commander voices. Changing these settings will likely solve that problem, but as with the mods, it will affect the other captains as well.

WG giving away a free day of premium EVERY DAY?

But the News about this and that... I thought everything was fine and dandy.

I had a choice of opening my wallet and spending money on WG, ...or giving it to the Red Cross. Guess where my money went.
-
I guess my reasons are pretty much the same. I remember the good years, I'm trying to find devious ways of getting at least one of my old friends back to WoWS, WoT being pretty much a lost cause unless something really surprising happens.

Got it, cheers!

Montly SC drop. I might have had use for signal flags/camos to replenish my deplenished stocks, but this is nice too! -
Everything in the game, in terms of resources (and I count ships as resources rather than content NB), has to have a set price. It's better if the pricing is transparent.

At least right now, the Modstation updated and installed the mods normally. Haven't yet had time to check their functionality in game. EDIT Non Steam, that is.
