These are at least equally important to remember. Since we can assume WG wants us to buy the newer, flashier nerfiums, the older premiums may continue to be powercrept due to newer ships being more powerful, as well as with WG introducing global changes to the game, typically the case of the submarines, for instance, or the earlier CV rework.

I managed to find a list by LWM but it's not been updated since 2017. https://forum.worldofwarships.com/topic/105830-history-of-premium-ship-release-dates/ However, you may not need to have a complete list for this as: 1. " Flandre was first released for sale on at the end of March 2021. " https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Ship:Flandre 2. When you go to the Premium shop and select a ship, with the newer ships you will see this (edit this too is a special ship I think): If you have a look at the other 'ship of the week', Yoshino: Yoshino is not a premium ship, but a special tier X ship. There's been no change with special ships, this clause has been merely added to all of them for transparency. Here's a post-Flandre premium ship (aka a 'nerfium' as I like to call them), the Constellation: When you go look at an actual premium ship released prior to the Flandre, like the Roma: You can easily see that the abovementioned clause is not there. Just make sure to read all the details prior to making a purchase.

Historical ships you would like to see

Well.. this is something you need to pin on WG's creative monetization rather than any fault of the ships themselves. -

Perhaps not as such, but there are a couple of ways of looking at this: 1. Special 'gimmicks' giving these ships some unique characteristics. The difficulties here are how they can figure out how to balance those gimmicks while making the ships individually different. 2. Legends (real ones, not the Soviet type...), ships that have gone down in history for one reason or another, no matter what class they are such as the Yamato and the Missouri (which we have)... or possibly, dare I say it... the Kamchatka. There are also a number of ships that are noteworthy for more general or private reasons, such as the existing museum ships or the ships that various people have a personal or a family connection to. -
Cheers, worked also on ASIA.

You forgot about the Okhotnik! -
Darn, you had to make it complicated.

Curious, because I sometimes wonder about which is more effective at extreme ranges, AP or HE. At specific angles, most people advocate using HE (like bow on) and AP (when broadside), but there isn't much mentioning if range is a factor as well.

Pretty sure we will spot you on these forums still. -
Tried to search for an existing thread but got tangled in the process because everything was irrelevant... And... now I know why. This thread is in the Twilight Zone.

[POLL] How your gameplay might change with subs?
Karasu_Browarszky replied to OldSchoolFrankie's topic in General Discussion
I picked 'I will play less', though I'm not playing that much even now. Still, it probably means I will have more limited options to enjoy the gameplay, meaning more coop than randoms after that, and operations. -

Can't remember if the old captain skills indeed had something like that. The US equipment choices also have something, but is it only for higher tiers or BB's only. Not in game now so can't see myself.

I dread to ask what are you planning...

Anyone know when the Sevastopol is due out?

Does this mean we won't get any further information until, say, the Iwami and the others are first released? -
Historical ships you would like to see

I managed to track down yet one more distant German cousin of mine and was reminded of something when reading his biography (though... he didn't have a naval connection.. per se...).. has anyone happened to mention the cruiser Berlin? Admittedly, as a Bremen class light cruiser SMS Berlin would be difficult to place in the rigid tech tree format we have. Succeeded by the Königsberg and Dresden classes and we have Dresden on tier 2. Yet, they are virtually contemporaries so apparently there was a real flurry of an arms race going on. There are a lot of ships we are missing from the pre-WW1/WW1 years, and this in part an inexplicable decision on WG's part because there are also a lot of very interesting real life Russian ships from this era. -
Perhaps that means having 'beach parties' on any one of those very inviting looking islands where so many ships seem to want to go. Maybe, snorkeling or sightseeing submarines? Or sightseeing on land, perhaps, lots of interesting castles, villages to visit. WG might set up little shops in them too for souvenir flags and stuff, new captain outfits and so on.
-
Just in case, I will PM this over to you.
-
One further problem with the tech tree approach is, that typically there are more ships and ship classes the smaller the vessels are. Paradoxically, we have paper DD's even, when there are still real life existing DD's missing from the game, such as the Orfey class destroyers.
-
Well... tells you something about how artificial the tech tree approach is, basically serving little purpose except for being there to give that fun and engaging experience of painfully grinding tiers up until finally you reach the misery that is tier X game play. The Era based approach would have been superior, and still allowed for plenty of grinding to keep every one of us blissfully happy.
