I see OP bought some. They aren't all bad, though. At least they aren't any worse than the tech tree ships. I don't think they are necessary for casual play, but if you need a quick way to train your captains and maybe farm some credits, a few may be necessary for your key nations. Few, that is, and quality is more important than quantity.

It's probably difficult to criticise a sub commander about being cautious in what's a major fleet engagement folding. It's probably fair to say that the Nautilus was extremely luckly in those conditions, or her commander and crew were exceptionally good. Or both.

WoT? I use the same old tactic I learned in WoT. I slam the engines on full throttle, take a course directly at the enemy and wait till I spot several of them when they start firing at me. When I have sunk, I tell the team 'I helped!'.

I think their best to date was with Operation Dynamo. Nowhere to be seen...

The thing is, though, historically speaking, they've done a lot better in the past.
