This Week's Naval Battle Prep - What are we Supposed to be Doing?

The base XP and XP prep mission make sense because the icon is easily recognisable, but what are we doing this week, the icon being a silver rectangle with a forward slash? I've played 5 so far but not knowing what it is I'm supposed to be doing. Is it wins? -
Doesn't Ctrl-X suffice? Lock your arty on a relative bearing so when you've fired your torps they're still pointing the same way.

I expect so. It'll take some head scratching to pin down the actual problem, so until then backwards is forwards.
