    Another 2 cents from me. The changes are an attempt to create balance and not spoil your and your friends experience. As you already said, there was a time that as a division of 2 carriers you sometimes were against a non-carrier team, hardly fair? 2 CV team mates in good communication with each other could wreck an opposing team if they themselves were without any CV's, that is the reason behind the decision to limit divisions to one CV, not to spoil your fun.

    One thing I will 100% agree with Anu and that is the current damage system in this current update. In a cruiser now I am often being wiped out with either 1 salvo from a BB or 2/3 from a cruiser. Now, I will not listen to those that quote RL as this is a game based on balance and to be insta-killed on a regular basis is extremely disheartening. Well, onward with testing the next update.........

    You are as wide of the mark as a battleships salvo. The issue we are currently experiencing is the total lack of understanding on how to win a battle, I make more in credits and XP with a good win than (almost**) any battle I have fought in and lost. **almost. Only times I have done well on a losing team was by doing great damage with multiple kills but that is infrequent. A very good answer and addresses the issues with the game very well. +1 for the last part.

    Although I have quite a few clan mates I often sail alone, BB's among them. One thing you should not do and that is to be the lone hero, sure go in alone to 'bait' but always stay in the company of another ship for both yours and your fellow sailors safety. The failure at this stage of the game is not balance but the total lack of understanding of how to win a battle. Once more players grasp that you will have less issues, period. At this moment in testing it is the right time to make drastic changes in balance in order to see the overall results of those changes. What you have to consider these random changes can apply to any ship in any tier so having more ship lines in would not make any difference. As updates come and go reasonable balance can be made between ships so for now it is reasonable to accept these changes for the sake of testing and not treating it as a finished product. Please believe me we constantly test their changes and are the first to experience them but as said, this is still early in the Beta so I am sure balance will prevail further down the line.
  8. Firstly I want to say all I did was to extract, tweak a little, add different music from a previous World Of Warships movie. And to be honest, it turned out good enough (I think) to share. I had to 'bite my tongue' and wait for CBT (due to the NDA restrictions at the time) but now it is free from its shackles, I hope you enjoy.

  10. Hello acm166, firstly you can do a multiquote to get all your replies to post all in one post. Let's be a little realistic regarding balance play. The timer is in fact the perfect governor to the amount of ammo you can fire, the fact you are witnessing lower tier DD's being a little over eager with 'spamming' is that they do not have an idea as how to sail DD's at their very best. Once these newcomers to the DD tree understand it is all about stealth they will be spam free! Bottom line is, better tuition in how to sail a DD and not an unrealistic cap on the amount of torpedoes a DD carries. FYI. I do not sail DD's but respect what they are capable of and keep my distance whenever possible, maybe you need to do the same?

    Reduce Ship Repair/Service cost in CBT

    This the norm. Costs exponentially get higher the further you go through the tiers. In any of the three games in the stables repair/rearm costs are higher but on the other hand you are able to make more damage and earn a lot more. If you fail to do much damage in battle and ends up not equating to end of battle costs of course you will lose. The answer is to go to a lower tier now and then and generate more credits to enable you to fund higher tiered battles. You have to understand we are aiming to test towards what will become end game so it would be unrealistic to put easy credits in front of you. Yes, I agree it may be difficult with the lack of Piasters currently but not impossible.

    Reading a lot of literature about warships I have come across snippets of information that have made me think "wow, that is odd", "I did not know that" or "how bizarre". What I am proposing is for you to supply strange, odd, bizarre or interesting facts about warships that make think how I have done. I won't put too many down here in order to let you all supply us with facts that will either amaze us or make us think. The German U-boat that sank a German ship. HMS Audacity was an escort carrier built from the captured (in the West Indies in February 1940) German merchant ship 'Hannover'. She was torpedoed and sunk by U-751 off Portugal on the 21st December 1941. -------------------------------------------------------------- The CV that lit up a city. The Lexington's were the most powerful warships right up until the end of World War II. A graphic illustration of this came in 1929-30 when the USS Lexington's generators provided power for the entire city of Tacoma, Washington, after the local hydro-electric powerplant failed in the middle of winter. That is powerful! -------------------------------------------------------------- Atomic bomb proof. Ok, this is post WWII but concerns a renowned German cruiser the Prinz Eugen. After the Potsdam Conference of 1945 the Eugen was ceded to the US and used as a target ship in the Crossroads atomic tests at Bikini Atoll in July 1946. The cruiser survived both 'Able' air burst bombs and the more powerful 'Baker' underwater shot. She remained afloat and was eventually towed away to sink off Kawajalein Atoll in August 1946. -------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, now it is your turn for some strange, bizarre or interesting facts, go for it sailors!

    This is why I suggest we make the replay function known now, whilst you cannot replay with the current client you will with the next. If indeed you suffer bad/insulting behaviour in battle you would at least have that replay to offer along with a ticket to support. But, I want to offer a story from a battle I was in last night and an admission; I as many will declare am the most inoffensive person you could find in battle but I found my limit last night. Whilst sailing in a BB I was shadowed by another BB very closely (not behind but alongside) and it was soon that we came into contact with the enemy and fire was exchanged. I have to admit I was getting hit more than I could witness looking at the enemy, it was when I knew the enemy was not firing at me and I was still getting damaged I looked behind me and this 'ally' was firing through me across to the enemy! Of course I was taking half of their broadside salvo and my first comment was 'thank you very much'. After 3 more I 'snapped' and said 'quit firing at me you idiot' with which another ally had said 'calm down' and really I should have bitten my tongue. But, as there was no apology coming I did relay the events to the rest of my team and only when another ally prompted my attacker to apologise all I got was 'ok' and then silence. So, I can empathise with those that may be triggered to say something they should, not but please, bear in mind you are in company and although I never swear, any words that can be read as intimidating or aggressive are not the language we need in game. As much as 'idiot' is far from what I would call offensive I could have been far more intelligent about the matter and said something to the team like, 'beware of the enemy within' for instance. it would have least meant something to me and my 'attacker' without mentioning names nor creating offence. We all learn! I did make myself do 100 lines afterwards.........
  18. Before the game gets to you it is thoroughly tested in house and then by Supertesters and then released as an update to Alpha now Beta. Great consideration is given to balance to enable each class have a chance as equal as possible. What you describe would be to take away all of its main attributes and render it pretty much useless which is exactly what we do not want to happen. Going on to your first point; Remove Aim Marker. If we were to do that we would have to balance out all other classes and remove aim assistance there as well, this is not going to happen so that point is null Reload. The reload times of torpedoes gets exponentially longer the higher the tier you are in. They are more than reasonable as they stand and with top tier DD's having in excess of 2 minutes between reloads you can see that torpedo launches have to be planned more precisely. So no, as it stands reload times are more than acceptable. Limit the ammo. In effect they do have limited ammo as the battle time limit governs that. Top tiers will probably only able to launch 6 times in a full length battle. The lower tiers although can reload faster and hence have 'more torpedoes' their damage is also less and has less of an impact. I would suggest a much longer time playing and only make suggestion when you have experienced the higher tiers to get a better overview on ships performance and their respective ammunition.

    Stuck places

    Hello ParEx, we test the maps as much as possible prior to release to Alpha now Beta but due to the limitations in test time some areas may get overlooked and this is why we have you guys. Thanks for the heads up. The problems seem to arise when ships are parallel to island blocking volumes and seem to be stuck with a vacuum (similar to the effect you have when 2 flat sheets of glass are laid together and they 'stick').Will pass this on.

    This game is way to difficult

    Unfortunately Bro there has been a major design fault with the latest batch of ships. They installed maps from Apple instead of Google and that is what has caused all these ships to wander all over the map not knowing where to go. So when you see a BB parked up, the captain is just having a go at his wife for not being able to read a map correctly. I am sure when the latest update is released the ships will again be able to sail in the correct direction and locate the map hotspots. No apples were eaten during the writing of this post.

    Huge problems with Aircraft carriers

    Hello trucane, Balance will be forever ongoing as the more players play/test the more data can be harvested. Reasonable thoughts and I am sure inter tier performance is something looked at regularly. In your case, well the case of the CV planes is having the module upgrades slightly buffed to match the stock of the tier above. Being at work I cannot study the upgrades but I am sure someone will post statistics regarding this. Duca

    Suggestions

    Currently the movement physics are pretty good and I would rather keep it like that. As for the autopilot I am sure that will improve with time.
