1 - As you mentioned, I would certainly invest in a more capable PSU considering your graphics card power requirements (requires 250 watts as standard and yours is OC). 2 - Obviously systemically your PC (apart from PSU) is capable but your issue does lie with the graphics. This game is graphics hungry so to speak and will test your card (asking for more power?) and I would put money on that. You say you have current drivers? have you tried an older version yet? 3 - Python log appears to give no errors at time of freeze so again, issue looks like it is pointing towards your card and the stress it is under. 4 - Are you able to 'borrow' another gfx card to test? Let us know how you get on.

Plus one for bringing some positivity to the table. As much as I sit on the fence when reading and listening to opinion, with the recent deluge of threads filled with negativity, finding someone willing to look at the positives for once wins my vote.

Ah, the Wyoming. I have not long got into BB's after a spell with cruisers and DD's and as much as I hate the snails pace I am a little fond of the tug boat. What I found that helped and that was to never fire the entire broadside but fire individually unless you were 100% sure of hitting multiple times. I was soon doing a lot of damage but as you say, after other ship classes it really is a very different ship to sail. I say persevere as this ship leads to a better ship and so forth but saying that the USN line of BB's at mid tiers is a lot more painful than the IJN line!

You have probably come out onto the forum after a poor run, we all have them. Best way is to division up with someone, that will lessen any frustration you may get. Stick with it, good players do, it is the (being ever so polite here) lesser talented players that will get bored so they will flee leaving the rest to enjoy it. As you said, he was trolling with nothing worth saying. As my reply to your first post, don' give up because of the minority.

Strangely enough the Mogami has better torps and lower detectability, maybe that is a major part of the comparison?

I partially agree but my last game was a great example of what my post was pointing out. I was in my slowboat (read Wyoming) sailing parallel to the caps and a Phoenix was diving towards B, the coast was clear as I asked our CV's to spot the caps. I asked him to cap B, but no he wanted to sail on attempting to get to the enemy CV's, he lasted 2 minutes more. Unlike you, who I am assuming would have gone to the cap knowing it was safe the above mentioned Phoenix captain chose a suicidal path which did nothing for himself or the team.

Best to ignore it, if they get reactions they will do it more as they thrive on attention. As for any abuse then that is dealt with by the report function and if worse still with evidence (screenshot/replay etc) to support.

The difference between good players and poor players are those that are prepared to listen to good advice (in game chat) and those that will not. As much as an impact you have on a game it still needs at least 2 or 3 others to have an impact as well to influence a battle. But, people are people and some think they know best and will not listen to another's opinion or advice. This will never change unfortunately, and as much as some may change and start listening and reacting accordingly, we will get new players that will ignore anything said to them. Sail on.

This. Unfortunately some players try to combat the St.Louis in the same way it enjoys fighting, close combat brawling and they will find to their expense that is not the way to do it. For arguments sake, its IJN counterpart (Tenryu) has good torps so can keep a determined St.Louis at bay (again if used correctly). In my humble opinion the Tenryu is the better ship by far at tier 3 and not the St.Louis. Ship complainants do so because they are sailing the ship incorrectly, learn to use a ships strengths and you will do fine.

The server is unavailable early morning when it goes down for daily maintenance. Your account is showing as live so maybe wait a little longer for verification, if not contact support.

What was your connection like at the time? How often do these issues happen to you? What you have to consider, although what you were doing was a client action, that command has then got to go to the server for it to then send back the relative information (ship positions on map etc). Just throwing a train of thought into the mix. If you can attach your dxdiag report to your post (edit via 'More Reply Options) that will help.

Hello Allanatig, Confused about your statement regarding, and I quote, "After a few hundred games on the Two Brother map". You have only participated in 175 battles overall (34 in PvE) so that statement is a little wide of the mark. In all honesty I find it the most enjoyable as it gives you options to split up (hurrah for that) or as on most other maps all line up for the "lemming train". But, we all have our opinions and favourites and two Brothers is a favourite of mine as I have had great battles on there won and lost.

Hello abkack, yes you were hearing AP shells 'bouncing' off the ship. Best advice is to use HE at all times with the St.Louis as you will find with its rate of fire ships will turn into infernos!

The OP is perfectly correct, as the game currently lies it is more balanced than it has ever been. Of course there are still many 'tweaks' that have to be made on the journey to the best balance possible. One poster made a point of facing tier 9 carriers in a tier 7 ship, this will always be possible in the same way the same poster could (and will currently) face tier 4 and 5 ships but will they complain about that? We have to be as balanced about our opinions as the game is so even if you are suffering awful luck, is it really the balance or the MM? I doubt it greatly. 90% of battles I die in are purely my fault, making a stupid decision putting myself in a position of danger, 10% are by the superior power/skill of an opposing team/player and I accept that with impunity. So yes, it is mostly about balance (let us leave MM out of this for now) so let us hope future posters will bring a little more balance to their threads instead of the current trend to blame absolutely everything except themselves. Humbug_1, you need to calm down before you post as most of them are very angry in their construction. In my post I tried to guide you but it appears from your following posts you have failed to step back and listen but to respond negatively. Yes, as you have obviously pointed out I do have green text underneath my avatar but I certainly do not have any sort of 'chip on my shoulder' but your response seemingly reflects that you do instead? I did point out that I have just started a BB line so am starting and experiencing what you are as well and in all honesty it has not impacted on my experience, slow and laborious yes but that is to be expected. As for the odd time when at tier 3. yes came across the odd CV but again, it was quicker allies that despatched them and very rarely did I get hit and never sunk by torpedoes. There are many introductory videos showing ship classes style of game play that will no doubt help you understand BB's a little more, watch them and you may learn something.

I do if I am in my Cleveland (anything lower has next to no AA). But sometimes you can get dragged away at the most inopportune moment.........
