If you want, you can install Aslains mod (available through the Fan Zone here) and there is an option to install an extended tech tree which highlights all models that are installed in the client (although not available in game at the moment).

The damage indicator is in the bottom section of mods (cannot recall name of that section but it is near the bottom of the list).

American WoWS CM: the right way. Also collecting-topic for server-comparison and central EU-community management highlights. See posts 113, 126, 141.

Well, if WG want someone a little closer to the ground I will offer help. It was partly due to the slowness in community interaction (competitions and similar) that prompted to me to do my bit (Tacobanana). It is vital there is interaction in both dialogue and events to bind the players and the game management together. Otherwise, the void will grow to a point where it will never be able to be crossed again. My 2 farthings.- 252 replies

Hello Viking, If you have enabled Replays the folder should be created automatically for you. I am assuming you have enabled them as per the instructions? To play the replays you can also 'drag' the replay over the WoWs exe to play them but you must be out of the game to do so, hope that helps. @Wavecave - I agree that it should be implemented in the game, and I am sure it will be as soon as they are happy that all functionality is there for it to work as intended.

Good news, there is a mod in Aslains mod pack that disables those annoying (for some) F key commands,

Noted you said drivers are up to date, have you tried rolling back to the last driver, no harm in trying?

Clan wars will come to accommodate divisions and more. Ranked battles are all about the individuals prowess in working with 6 other random players.

1300 games - Am I the only one growing tired of this game?
OldGrandad replied to GulvkluderGuld's topic in General Discussion
WoWs is a league apart from most games and because of its content has a more specific audience. I am only just knocking on 1000 battles in PvP but add that to my testing battles both in PvE, the ST, other servers and of course all battles previous to Open Beta I have done close to 5000 battles more like. Am I bored with it? No I am not, as soon as I get a little deflated I walk away for a breath of air and come back when my mood dictates. The problem is a lot of newcomers were expecting much more content and that is its biggest failing at the moment. -
Sorry to burst your bubble but the real speed of the AMD X2 3800+ was 2Ghz overall, multiplying the cores speed is a fallacy and it is the overall speed that is measured not each core added up together. Good fans and liquid cooling. If privacy is a problem, unplug your network lead. In your case with a new rig you can install in your leisure whilst your vintage rig puffs along. No stuttering with my 970. My relegated rig has an AMD card in it and is as quiet as my new 970. Currently just speculation. What has this got to do with buying a new PC? Very doubtful as more power means more power to run etc. More efficient size for size? possibly. Not faster? Try telling that to my old i5 rig. my new Skylake dances around it and never breaks sweat. No, we now have 4 times as many cores. As for older machines and running game I have my new rig running Quake 1, awesome Bottom line is, well done for actually getting the game to run on your old machine as it says a lot for game, not too sure of the quality of game play but none the less well done!

Sorry, those were my Kawachi memories coming back! All intentions are to have fun, but I have been guilty in getting a little serious sometimes so when you see me not smiling crack a joke, always works

PC Gamer: WoWs is 'expensive and exploitative'
OldGrandad replied to _EasyTiger's topic in General Discussion
Another very good thread indeed with great points, especially to pay or not to pay. Hans summed it up simply and well, it is free until you 'want to pay', not you have to pay. There are those of us that do want to get to those ships that we know, and need a little 'leg up' to acquire in a reasonable time scale, so we pay a little. The game can be expensive but only if you want it to be, no one at all is asking you for money, we give it freely after all. Some say some high tier premium ships are expensive, I am sure they mean it is outside of their spending capacity, no? But I would say it is like me wanting a new Audi TT for example, just a little too expensive for me so I will settle for a second hand Audi A4, just an example. (I am not going to debate over the package that was offered) I believe a lot of us here over time, will spend a majority of time in the higher tiers (because most of us here spend money), and then there will be many that will play a majority of their time in the lower tiers because it is free and they do not have to spend a cent doing so. Bottom line is, I am happy enough at the moment to 'donate', not to keep the game afloat but because I want to get past that damned Colorado! -

PC Gamer: WoWs is 'expensive and exploitative'
OldGrandad replied to _EasyTiger's topic in General Discussion
Makes me laugh, you can choose to pay to aid progress or not pay and grind, either way it is fun. As for the reviewer, someone let loose on a high tier BB with precious little experience says it all. You guys are the best reviewers bar none. -
Well if you have the installer just hit the 'Play' button to initiate the download.

New Aim Mod (No, realy, this one is new)
OldGrandad replied to Wischmob_von_Eimer's topic in Archive
Your 'test' is extremely flawed because all you have is a perception of how you 'felt' shells were landing on or near you. You missed out the obvious, were those players exactly the same every time? If not, a failed test, as there will be far too many anomalies to say it is a fair and equal test. Not so much of a test but a figment of your imagination. Oh, dear, assumption is the mother of all f**k ups. What you are doing is nothing more than rabble rousing, absolutely no basis of truth in your wild claim. For your information as soon as these mods were released I did everything to test their validity, did they work out of the box and the answer is no ( I will not elaborate any further), I do not work for WG, I work for my own interests and so I can give a more balanced opinion. Having played continuously throughout the period that the new incarnation of the aiming helper (and a poor one at that) I cannot possibly claim that enemy fire has been any more accurate that previously. -
To use your quote, why for the love of god do we get doom mongers here saying the game is dying with the game still in its infancy? The chart you showed means? Of course we have a player drop as many were merely curious and for a lot the game is too demanding. Oh, and insulting those that are not in agreement with you will hardly enamour them with you. I don't normally say this but if you are so passionate about the game (you must be to show concern about its ultimate demise) try promoting it instead of sounding its death knell.

I am sure that the numbers will always yo-yo and the below attached chart reflects that. For me, the times that I can get to play I get into battles immediately so that to me says the population is relatively healthy. Another aspect we have to consider, is that WG have not advertised this game in the same fashion they have with tanks (even WoWp had TV ads at time of launch).

The problem is not the MM but some players manipulating the chance of being omnipotent at certain times of day (in this case at night with lower player counts.) As others have already said, play lower tiers and that way those that want to division up with 3 tier 10's will have an awful long time to wait for a battle!

Guys, and all who are interested, I have 2 codes to win in my competition so if you were/are out of luck in getting a code have a bash at trying to win one
-
Just had a poor game? The tier spread now is acceptable, did you complain when in your tier 3 you were against tiers 1 and 2?, of course not! I have more fun in a lower tier as there is no shame in losing to a higher tier but if you do well against higher tiers the rewards are so much better.

Quite an interesting thread this has turned into, mostly very decent views of each players perception on how they feel the game has turned into. The differing of views more often reflects from their time of joining to where it is now which, in many instances the changes have been relative and certainly not game breaking. There are a few complaining of the MM but that is a moot point now as it is probably in a better shape now than it ever was (remember teams sometimes imbalanced by 2 to 4 ships?). Some even shout conspiracy but even they are now in the decline, as with the player base having increased to where it is now, it is more obvious than ever you need a degree of skill and understanding to do well (the haves and the have nots). I think the biggest change is the rush of newer players during Open Beta and onwards (I would not class the announcement of 'Full Release' as anything other than a paper exercise). A lot of inexperienced players pick a game up and expect to do reasonably well and that is where we are seeing some fail miserably here. Is it their fault? Partly, but we would be better by supplying in game tutorials in order to 'help' our new captains (another debate). Anyway, I digress, I have faith with the game, much like a partner you have been dating for a while and you are finding out all those little nuances, same faithful partner though. But for me it is all about the community here, which in the majority, is more than enough for me to remain positive. If it was not for all of you the game would be less interesting, we debate, discuss and even 'row' over some aspects of the game but you are still here. Some will always be impatient and it is those that are more likely to look elsewhere for their 'fix', but for those that remain loyal and patient, the content will increase and hopefully for the loyal here, they will be rewarded for their patience and loyalty. The above paragraph sums up a lot for me and that is why I decided to put my hand in my pocket and give that little something back to the community, not a lot granted, but enough I hope to show that I do want to say a little thank you.

Amended. I wish it (submitting replay) could, but unfortunately replays do not display the screens that we require (hopefully one day they will do), as the competition could come down to a tie-break. In all honesty I always take screenshots of good battles to remind me that I can achieve good results sometimes! You are obviously good enough and there is plenty of time to try again captain.

The Myogi was in fact a release from the Kawachi and was ok to play, I would still go through the process of getting her (not too much silver anyway) and if struggling a bit with her you can always try PvE and whilst the rewards are less you maybe able to hone your skills there without impacting anyone else.

Need the main battle screenshot as well.
