I go by my web browser time and all indeed did enter on time. This contest is now officially ended. I want to thank all who entered and all who even attempted to try and did not post their results. Now for the hard word, getting all the results put in place! <------------------------------------------------------------------------------CONTEST ENDED------------------------------------------------------------------------------->

Sorry, but you need the initial screenshot showing your ship. Can you provide it please.

Fired a blank, sorry double post. (Reminds oneself not to download large files whilst posting)............

Never really thought about it as I have been testing them for a while. A friend last night, in a battle we were in got 6 kills in a Yubari so I thought why not this evening - 4 kills and a Kronenberg in my port

I have been sailing her for quite a while and I am glad a few can sail her (and the Ognevoi) pre-release. There is a big but, in her current state (as with the other DE CA's) she is weak for her class and any sniff on an AP shell and she wilts. I am hoping that WG will give the DE line just a little love to at least give them some parity in their respective tiers. Anyway, well done to those that have managed to grab the chance with the 2 ships and it will be good to hear some constructive criticism of them.

Ok contenders, today is the last day for my little competition so have another bash, you never know your luck (has to be better than mine! ). Thanks to all who have entered, I have enjoyed putting this competition on and I hope you all have enjoyed getting the most out of the tier 2 terrors.

This has been so since we started to test the RUDE lines on the live server so that is to be expected. (save your flags!)
-
Do you realise if you enter that game results into my competition you would win a prize (as the results stand at the time of this post)? Not a huge amount but enough to buy the crew a round

I have no idea what you are on about, I would say you are almost equal on average with your Cleveland. If I was to find fault maybe not quite as much damage dealt as you need but that may come. You are doing fine, just ensure you are with company and never go alone into the face of the enemy.

paper made cruisers and destroyers with useless torps

I will leave more apt advice on the Mutsuki to more experienced DD players (I cheated after a while and did PvE to get to the Hatsuharu!). As for the Aoba, you need to treat her as a DD hunter and scavenger. As you have already found out if you are careless enough to get too close to anything stronger than a DD you will get hurt pretty badly. Believe me, I am below average as a captain (compared to those that often post here) but I checked my own stats on the Aoba and found that I have done an average of 42,750 damage per battle over 53 battles. I do not need to tell you as an already experienced captain that doing damage is everything. I am unaware of your type of game play but I would suggest that you try to pick off targets rather than be over brave. I am not sure if that helps you but be patient and do not try too hard. -
I am sure it can be implemented as WoWp does have a filter. Have to say though it does block a lot of innocent words, so imagine this, 'Es***' will happen!
-
Some before you have asked similar and in most cases they were suicidal and dying quickly hence not gaining much XP. You on the other hand must be too cautious as you have survived most of your won battles (assuming that you sank in most of your defeats?). Try being a little more aggressive when sailing with the pack, yes you will take a few more hits but giving damage equals XP.

What about my captains that are stuck with a quarter of a brain?

He has a valid point. The OP would have been best served to offer via PM and then re-post once it has been claimed. On a side note, I have 3 of those new account codes going for anyone new to WG so if you have friends or family and they are eager to try the game, feel free to contact me by PM.

Hi V, lol at your last line. I have found that I now scrutinise the aircraft that either are on CV's or use on catapults on cruisers and battleships. When I spotted a Ta-152 on the Hindenberg, I thought 'ooh, I have one of those in WoWp' lol. See you around cap'n

Your PC is just about adequate (your CPU in this case is the bottleneck) but should not have an issue with the game. What would help is some details from the error messages you received. As for the BSOD that would more than likely point to a hardware isssue and I have a sneaky feeling your RAM is at the centre of this issue. Try running MemTest andsee what the result show you. What info is missing and that is size of your hard drives and the amount of space left. It may be an idea to increase the size of your page file, increase it slightly and try the game again.

Ever get the feeling that you should just give up?

I say well put, could not have said it better, well done. -
<--- DAFT through and through! Yes, I still do but due to my status here and how busy it makes me, I fly very little these days but still love the 'quick fix' that WoWp can give you.
-
Saying that, the dispersion is *great, so wide you can, if lucky get a 'Double Strike' by hitting 2 ships at once!

can we have a tier 10 DD that is capable of
OldGrandad replied to anonym_gCiyicUsNYGl's topic in General Discussion
Sarcasm is rampant in this young padawan! I have sailed her many times and I can assure you it is certainly not an easy ship to sail and remain in one piece (unless you go and hide!). Watching someone else sail the Soviet DD's is not a reflection on how you would sail them. As per my reply to the OP, yes they have their strengths but you have to remain focussed to maintain a safe distance and as with all battles there will be times that you will be seen (CV aircraft anybody?) and if any enemy sees you, say goodbye unless you can extricate yourself easily. The Soviets are inherently weak armour wise and very prone to detonation (same can be said for the German CA's) so believe me, they are not as mighty as some may say, good but certainly not omnipotent! -
Is the research cost of the mogami glitched?
OldGrandad replied to _x_Acheron_x_'s topic in General Discussion
Nice to see a constructive thread starter from you for once so well done there! But seriously, if you could supply a screenshot of what you are trying to accomplish would help. But, as prompted above, more than likely you have not completed all the research on the Myoko yet as researching the 'B' and 'C' hulls will cost you that 30k XP. This is no different for all the lines so I cannot see why you are complaining? -
You seem to have a great understanding of the game and I mean that when I see your forum name. Last time I responded I did not look up any statistics but since then I did, you only have 98 battles against your name yet you criticised the OP with 200. Both inexperienced with those numbers to take into consideration? In the future maybe experience will be taken into consideration to form battles but until then it is free to roam as you will.

quoted post removed A pretty pathetic and insulting reply to make. Unlike the other two games in the series this one has a much steeper learning curve and there are those with many times more battles that are still below average. Don't paint others the same way you paint yourself. This was the same reason I created this competition to promote mixing of experienced and inexperienced as playing with better players is a learning experience in itself.
