Not being disrespectful but your supplied screenshot is barely average, very normal indeed. Also, being a DD you can often get away with doing more than you really ought to because of spotting distances. Not seeing the actual results of these battles I would say you lost them all? Or maybe just a few? More details from the entire days battles may help. -
Guys (and gals) I sympathise with you but for each ST we can realistically only do 3 battles per hour each. As I am a sad old man with little else to occupy me (have to get the shopping done though mind you!), I will try to do battles throughout the day tomorrow. Yes I know it is little against the grand scheme of things but I feel I need to do more. I will be glad to meet any of you our there tomorrow, and Sunday for that!

I like the smoke but its animation was too fast, if it was slowed down at least it would be realistic. As it stands currently, it looks like an old man puffing on a pipe behind a rock!

We have asked for this previously, have something similar to the warning in WoWp saying 'you are about to leave the map' or similar.

I along with fellow testers have tested this and the overall consensus it is a far better solution than is currently on the live server. Kenliero, as you now have 'tested' it and found the speed bleed will actually work, will you be more spatially aware of the borders in the same way you are with islands? I know I will. Like you I wandered into it and noticing my speed was reducing, I soon made a turn to get out and yes, was so much slower than as it is now. The problem is with the current border, you can quite innocently carry on 'border surfing' whilst scoping your enemy as your speed remains constant. As much as this solution is partially successful I would much rather have the WoWp solution where AI turns you around to get back into battle once broaching the border.

I care not about stats so in all essence would not affect me. With WoWs you know in the first 5 minutes who has a grasp of the game and who has not, fancy coloured names dictating how 'good' you are matters not. As you have pointed out WoT as a comparison, you have to understand what it would take for a unicum in WoWs (CV player anyone?) to actually get to a prime target, a lot longer than it would in WoT. I believe it will have much less of an impact here than in the other 2 games where fighting tends to be closer and quicker in comparison.

This. I wholly agree regarding the FTP side of the game as we need those players to bolster the overall player base. There will always those that are happy to pay for the extras and as you say, if there was a little less in the way of money farming (read bundles etc) it would be more attractive. The now included (in 0.5.1) missions, challenges etc are for me, probably the most desirable additions in the patch. Hopefully, more accurate data can be mined during the Public Test in order to polish those ships that really do need it!

@scouser - Best way to understand as to whether your fears of WoWs imploding if 0.5.1 does not come up to your expectations is to try it on the test server. There is quite a lot of content which has not been fully documented in it (the test of 0.5.1), and I believe you need to experience it first before making any sort of conclusion regards your idea of the fate of the game. Regards your post, please punctuate it, as being an asthmatic, I had to resort to my inhaler whilst trying to read it.

The Nurnberg, after some great experiences in the Konigsburg has felt to me as a very poor upgrade. Whereupon with the Konigsberg I was getting multiple citadels (16 max) in battles I am struggling so much with the Nurnberg. Although only 4 battles in with just the 1 victory, I feel that I cannot do a great deal in battle in comparison with its lower tier sibling. As it is, I am leaving the Germans alone now as I feel they just have to have some sort of help in the way of buffs. I just hope so..... -
That happened to me yesterday when I was in the 'Witch'. Out of fairness I did not partake in the battle and let them get on with it without me.

Oh, dear, you really do not take in what is written and only write what you want to see. Firstly, please quote with links to evidence of 'my team' or 'my mates' insulting people in the way you describe. I have been with WoWs since early Alpha never mind Beta and those that were (and most still are) with me at that time would not act in that manner. At no time I have ever been dismissive and always listen to balanced opinion, but no matter what I think the decision for changes no matter our feedback lies with the devs. Oh, dear, a misrepresentation of what I had written again. I said the devs deal in data not 'gut feeling'. You I am afraid are going to be impossible to please no matter my response. Oh, I never said I did not like you (and yet another misrepresentation), you just would not get a beer off me. And finally, that old chestnut of a saying, 'you reap what you sow' - you eventually have to face up to the consequences of your actions. Please explain? My actions have been what exactly to have consequences? me helping the community? Spending my own money hosting a competition? Please feel free to knock me down, but I do hell of a lot more to help players here than you do so I suggest stop knocking and start being thankful someone actually cares. -

Let me say, I doubt very much that I would buy you a pint in the local pub, but at least I will still remain polite to you. I will let you know something as it appears you are seemingly indifferent as to what we can and cannot do. We test for bugs etc, we test and are asked for feedback which we give. That is where it stops for us, we have no control over what goes from there until devs react. The devs have already stated that they do not react to feedback but to actual data collated from the servers, that means the likes of you and everyone else who plays, got that? This is a prime reason to hold Public Tests so to enable more data collection and to be able to make final changes prior to actual patch release. Feedback you see is very personal and can give too much of a bias in one particular direction, data is pure fact. By the way, with a chip that size on your shoulder I am surprised you have not been snapped up by Harry Ramsden. -
Yes, 29,000 may have missed out but they were all not playing in or around those respective tiers (4 & 5). I have no idea as to why you are so very bitter, I for one am trying to get out as much as possible as I know it makes it more fun for more players. We were given a slot to play but I will buck that and although not play the 2 ships continuously will appear at least once or twice every hour for the afternoon and evening. Please understand, I want to please players and not annoy them, that is far from what is or was intended.

Well... If trolls is what we are talking about, and I agree with you they are better left under their bridges, I wonder which are the ones trolling other forum users here... I keep wondering why the insistence, virulence and childish attempts at silencing others we are seeing here. Constantly shouting the same thing over and over again will lead to indifference by those that you are shouting at. It was heard the first time so rinsing and repeating will lead to being ignored. Well, I cannot say too much but let me say I have high hopes at this moment in time. -
Hi, You would be best served trying out the Public Test of 0.5.1 as you will get a better idea as to what lies ahead for Ranked Battles. I will not give the game away but there will be a lot to offer good play and that is not just for Ranked Battles!

Treat them like vultures, picking off the wounded with the guns and only if possible using the torps. Amazingly for a DD Gunboat, they have pretty decent AP and can do reasonable damage against CA's and even BB's. Bottom line is play second fiddle to an IJN DD who can spot for you, if you go in first any other DD will light you up first due to the higher visibility. Best advice now is to go and get a Public Test account and test the Soviet DD's there. It only takes one battle on each ship (and that is on Co-op!) to earn enough and more XP to progress onto the next tier. Public Test Access Guide.

@Aldramelech - Yes, of course we are privileged but not special. You can, like many others apply to become to be a supertester but be aware, it is not all roses. If only you knew how many hours I have put in this month alone, it sometimes is extremely laborious and even mundane but the tasks still have to be completed. Back on track, we were notified pretty late so although the ships were not as prevalent as we would have wanted tonight, they will be a little more visible throughout the rest of the holidays.
