One thing would help, and this for you to enable replays and post a replay of a battle that you think we could scrutinise for you, and offer advice from there.
-
You should have grasped the game mechanics by now, and understood what each ship in the tiers you play in are capable of. One piece of advice, do not sail your Atago until you have gained enough experience as it is plain to see that you are not doing well in her. Cheating? Please supply evidence in the way of a replay of the battles you consider players are cheating in.

noobs read, im sick of loosing games couse you suck
OldGrandad replied to TomaszuJerzy's topic in General Discussion
Was it written on a mobile phone? In all honesty it is so poorly written most would not read past the first angst filled lines. Also, what you have to consider, is that the majority of players never visit the forums, so you are missing the right audience you need to address. -
Just tried it and although I get past Windows 10 warning my AV deletes the latest file without any warning. Reverting back to the last version and all is well.

Premium consumable Glitch? or there is a secret way
OldGrandad replied to xtrm_'s topic in General Discussion
It has already been answered for you, when you click on the consumable, although doubloons are displayed as default, there is a drop down menu next to the doubloons symbol to allow you to select credits as an alternative. -
Regarding Ranked Battles from an 'ok' players perspective
OldGrandad replied to OldGrandad's topic in General Discussion
This indeed. From a personal perspective I treat Random Battles as the 'kick around the park' but as soon as I enter Ranked it becomes that 'cup match' in that you try just that little bit more. But, going back to my OP you are just hoping your team mates are on the same playing field......... -
why dose a DD's have more range than my alanta?
OldGrandad replied to jellopie's topic in General Discussion
Kiev is nearly as big as the Atlanta, more light cruiser than DD. Atlanta is a little lacking but with the 4th captain skill you can increase the range of the guns by 20% (currently) -
Regarding Ranked Battles from "best" player perspective
OldGrandad replied to Nephilimer's topic in General Discussion
And to me. I think we all have now tasted the bitter pill of team killers amongst our midst. I treat team killing to be "the most wanted to be addressed issue that isn't" by WG and for that I am disappointed. The amount of threads started regarding this and now they infiltrate ranked saddens me. -
One big mistake, culling the 'General Discussion' is like trying to mute the masses, why? Allow it to remain, it is the first forum I always visit and is currently core to the forums major contributors and is always the best place to get 'news'.

[Reads post and shakes head], please do not tar the actual AI bots behaviour with players who have no idea as how to push for victory. The current AI bots will push and attack and act aggressively (maybe too much so) and the behaviour you are witnessing is just plain poor players behaving overly passively. One suggestion, sell your box set of the X-Files as it is affecting your judgement of the game......

Regarding Ranked Battles from an 'ok' players perspective
OldGrandad replied to OldGrandad's topic in General Discussion
I want to thank all who have replied so far, much appreciated. My few battles are little compared to those that have far more patience than I apparently have (not). I just feel there has to be another denominator added to Ranked Battles to ensure teams will be more equal than not. My OP was to point out the extremes you can encounter in battles which for me, leaves me frustrated. I can ensure you though, I will attempt again tomorrow and try not to be as frustrated (not a promise though!). Anyway, good luck to those that manage 2 or more wins on the trot, consider that your lottery win! -
Overpowered torpedo's from invissible destroyers
OldGrandad replied to warbds's topic in General Discussion
Ok, please take this as constructive criticism. You are still very much learning the game so knowing each ships capabilities on each tier takes a while. One thing concerns me is that you already have a tier 8 ship with only 144 battles 18 of which are in the Atago. This is I believe is more of a hindrance to your learning as by tier 8 you (should) have accrued so much more experience and understanding of the game. Now, onto the gripe you have about torpedoes. I can assure you that as a recently converted to DD captain, using torpedoes well is a skill to be mastered. To use your moniker, 'good torpers' are few and far between and as I have already stated, to master them well and to use them with the ships detectability range well, you have to be more than half decent. Learn to accept that they are part of the game and try them yourself (4 battles in the Sampson are not enough) and come back again to write about your experiences. -
Thanks for a frustrating and wasted evening WG

Regarding Nephilimer's Ranked Battles Opinions
OldGrandad replied to NR107's topic in General Discussion
Indeed you are correct, good to see someone not waving their e-peen about after achieving something decent. Why not use your main account to post a reply? -
You think that was bad? On Sunday we had a tier 6/7 battle, I was in one division with 2 friends and (tier 6 DD's) and alongside us was another 3 ship division, Clevelend (ok so far), Kawachi (say what!) and last but not least their biggest threat a Hashidate (triple face palm). To top it all 2 BB's in the team rage quit the battle because of it I guess....... yes we lost.........

OldGrandad replied to Blackeon's topic in General Discussion
100% in agreement with this. Also I follow Babykims stance in stopping (have a break) if I suffer 3 losses (in my case out of 4). Last night was a perfect example, had 2 blinding battles in my Kamikaze in Ranked, 2 kills in each. The difference, one team were bound in the same mindset and worked well together, the other team, well I am not going to be rude about them here! In my case I had a break to do the ironing.... sad I know -
Tactical Map, Auto, Icons, Firing, Tracking, Moving
OldGrandad replied to JDredbull's topic in General Discussion
Sets the secondaries to track and fire when in distance. Also, when in battle hold ctrl and click on target (ship or plane) to do the same. -
Regarding Nephilimer's Ranked Battles Opinions
OldGrandad replied to NR107's topic in General Discussion
Hiya Grey! hows things? As I said above, read a few (not all) of his posts and they were ok but what the OP quoted of him, well......... -
Regarding Nephilimer's Ranked Battles Opinions
OldGrandad replied to NR107's topic in General Discussion
I am not butthurt, I have cream for that! I responded in the way I did as I always considered Nephilimer’s posts and views to be very balanced and never before encountered his narcissism. He did raise some valid points (regarding irrevocable levels) but others were way off the mark. -

Hmm, one word - narcissism. Hadn't read his views rants regarding Ranked Battles before. Some points valid, others, well..... His loss I guess -
Agonising frustration for this game
OldGrandad replied to whitelightshadow's topic in General Discussion
You really do live in the avenue of stupidity. Please read Eternus's response below; Thank you for a lucid reply. Yes, stats are a very important tool to aid in diagnosing player issues, good or bad. The OP (where has he gone?) being overly secretive, has not helped us to help him.
