    Warspite

And this is what my results have been looking like for the past 2 weeks. My 75% win rate has been cut down to a measly 50% thanks to me almost always being left alone . I might have to give up playing my Warspite, as well as I am doing in her, the win rate loss is crippling, and its just not fun to lose 5/5 games a day, a week, in the vain hope of a semi-competent team.

    Cleveland is soooooo OP

Just a note: You know a ship is ridiculously overpowered when a Full HP Cleveland yolo's a Warspite which is on 47k Hp, and the Cleveland ends up winning with 5k left. Despite the Warspite frantically steering port and starboard, slowing down occasionally, and firing full AP broadsides at every opportunity at only 8km range. It seems every game in my Warspite is sunk by A) A Yolo Cleveland on its own - or B This ship, along with the St Louis are the epitome of Overpowered. All a Cleveland needs to do is drive up to its chosen victim, and flamethrower it to death. Where the range and shell velocity doesn't matter. And even with a half competent player, firing at range is no problem. This also applies to a lesser extent with Omaha (Why on earth did they buff that thing?!) Semi-rant over. You can guess I'm getting killed by Clevelands a lot recently. But my point still stands and its perfectly valid. Its horrific upset to balance at tier 6, and I will rejoice on the day it is moved to tier 8, where it rightfully belongs.

German and British CV's will suck?

Well, the Germans should have carrier tree considering that the Russians will get one. There is a German Carrier branch in the "What we know about ships" thread. The info may be old, but it is a rough idea. However, there are other unbuilt designs lying around that can be used.

German and British CV's will suck?

Most likely it will be the Proposed Malta class. And if you want details on Britain's Armoured Carriers: http://www.armouredcarriers.com/ tl:dr The Illustrious class were tough old boots. Edit: Hooray for 100 Posts. I feel so accomplished!

    british tech tree

If you want something to look/read then -cough cough, Shameless plug- cough cough- You can go check out a thread on what I thought the RN Tech tree could look like. http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/12426-royal-navy-tech-tree-proposal/#topmost I updated the proposal on Page 3, although that is far from perfect... There is also the good work done by mr3awesome on what the tech trees will/did look like (Q&As etc.), although some of the information is old and outdated, (e.g. Light Cruisers as tier 10 Destroyers) http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/437-what-we-know-about-ships-updated-16082015/ As for the RN Tech trees, don't expect them that soon, but maybe a few premiums may turn up around before the estimated date of late 2016.

    Torpedo Loading Times

Have a disproving glare from me and do some research, keep practicing avoiding them and learning how to anticipate them. They are by no means OP.
  7. I can, as I have the patience to. And I have, and my team won. It was the Hiryu's & Ranger's loss for focusing my Warspite to the back of the map. It took them all game and 3 separate attacks and 1 combined attack to finally put the Grand old Lady down. If a player focuses you, its usually their loss. However this applies to any ship, in any match and any game. Not just WoWs. You just don't have the patience and tolerance, that is required with these games. You may feel its unfair because you are not directly damaging him. Yet I shot down at least a plane or two per torpedo that hit me. And severely limits his fighting capability.
  8. Any skilled player who knows his trade will ruin your day. A skilled DD player will torpedo you from afar. A good battleship captain will blow other battleships and Cruisers clean out of the water. You can influence a BB scoring multiple citadel hits on you as much as you can influence a Carrier attacking you. Since CVs can kill you one 1 attack run if you are not paying attention, you should start trying to avoid them, It may not be the aim of the game, but you live a lot longer, and enjoy the game more. CVs encourage camping, yeah sure. Go play the game a bit more, and look at it logically. I'm sure you will find the answer. And also, 0 CV games played since the CBT- where I had Houshou, Langley and the Indy/Bogue. I can't remember doing too well, and the only time I completely wiped out a ship was a South Carolina sailing in a dead straight line for 2 mins, which gave me more than enough time to line up an attack with 1 torp bomber squad. Simple as this: Carriers are not breaking the game, Past, Present, & with all the whining about them, the future as well.

So is Cleveland going to be moved to t7 or is it fine?

Cleveland when moved to tier 8 should be buffed to her historical stats, or near enough. Faster Rate of Fire. Shell trajectory un-nerfed AA buffed. Maybe even a range buff, but only a slight one.
  10. I think the BB whiners club have gone through and started to +1 all the comments that claim CVs are OP. They are not. A Ryuujou could only put 3 torpedoes into my Ark Beta yesterday. In separate 3 attacks. And he only got 3 torps in on his final attack as I was slow turning the lumbering ship around between islands. And that is the Ark Beta. Warspite Laughs in the face of most of the CVs I meet. @specialkha - You are Wrong. Simple as. More RNG = lower Skill ceiling. And a CV has to work to put down a BB, unless the BB captain is a muppet. You would be suprised how effective turning is at throwing off a CVs aim.

    Myoko - turrets cease working

Happened in my Minekaze.... Not that guns are important in that thing, but having the remaining guns stuck trained to port, while frantically hammering ctrl-x doesn't exactly help finish off a Yubari on 200hp I might have that replay about somewhere I think...
  12. The OP does have a point, Cleveland belongs at tier 8 in the US Light Cruiser branch, with her historical stats (i.e. Faster RoF, larger range, Shell trajectory buffed to CBT standards). Cleveland is only just balanced at tier 6, being borderline OP, but the shell trajectory is a pain in the arse to live with. So if you can adapt to that, its OP, if you can't like the majority of people, then its not OP. Either Way, Warspite can take out a Cleveland if the Cleveland is A) Out of Range or B) Can't shoot for s**t. But then its never as simple as that. I'm just tired of the 1 hit 1k dmg hits from an entire salvo at 10km or so. I usually end of on top when I fight a Cleveland, but at half or (3/4) health and on fire.

    US Battleship tree redone

Not saying that should be a tree, just saying that those are possibilities to add on, I'm pretty sure there are other designs around to add on, no more "real" ships though....

    US Battleship tree redone

How about this instead? Seems more realistic to add another tree/branch to it than re-organise a perfectly fine tree. - III - South Carolina IV - Wyoming Florida Delaware V - New York VI - New Mexico Pennsylvania Nevada VII - Colorado Tennessee Alaska VIII - North Carolina South Dakota (1939) Lexington (BC) IX - Iowa South Dakota (1920) X - Montana

    RN BBs

    - Revenge is better than New York, Kongo, Iron Duke and other prospective tier 5s. And very similar to QE. Tier 6 is fine for her. I would also count my bets for a premium Arkhangelsk (Royal Sovereign) for the Russians. - Nelson far better suited to tier 7, KGV (1939) to tier 8, where they are among their contemporaries from other nations. - The Royal Navy is not exactly lacking in high tier ships, there are plenty from the interwar period- which could be given fictional upgrades to AA and so on.

    19 battleships out of 24 ships ?

Huh, there are some CLs in there. Lies!
  17. Trainspite

    RN BBs

My two cents for it. 3 Possible trees for now, a Battlecruiser line, a fast battleship line, and a slow battleship line. You can interchange some ships around, so maybe Dreadnought herself being premium, and replacing her with St Vincent or so.

How WG completely ruined the Tirpitz in two simple ways

Tirpitz get used to it, I doubt it will change. Your namesake ship is not how it is IRL, but nor is mine. I have to work around that. Still, sank 2 Tirpitzes and crippled 2 more so far in Warspite, so clearly Warspite is OP. Either that, or I am worthy of a promotion to Admiral.
  19. Well, when I said direct, I didn't mean tell them what exactly to do, but to advise them on their choices, I know sometimes people are best left to their own devices, however dodgy their tactics may seem. ^^ And yeah, I have a few of those friends around. Not as experienced as me, although sometimes I like playing Admiral.
  20. That can be true, you just need someone to take charge and direct the two "mini-fleets." It's not so good when you are teaching your friend who is new to WoWs about the game, and you are unable to lead him... ¬.¬
  21. Have a +1. I personally find Hot Spot quite enjoyable, and spawns are generally fine, as long as the team has a basic knowledge of tactics. I have had some of my best games on that map, due to the teamwork and communication between team members. The only problem is division members being split, although that happens on every map, just worse so on this one.

    Welcome to World of Tirpitz

Heh, My Warspite is enjoying the Tirpitz spam. In 1 game... Sank one of them, while he did Minimal Damage to me, then sank another Warspite, and crippled 2 more Tirpitzes with allies getting the kills. Still, I think the Shokaku on my team is that match was the real winner.

    British Premium Content

Minor Bump: What I think could be possible premiums, before (and after) the main RN tree(s) arrive on the scene. Destroyers are fairly easy considering the sheer numbers of classes, however famous and one off destroyers that could make it in as premium such as; HMS Campbeltown - Tier 3 Wickes/Clemson Lend Lease - Tier 3/4 HMS Ambuscade and HMS Amazon - Tier 5 HMS Glowworm - Tier 6 (Different from her class and well known) HMS Cossack - Tier 7 (One of the more famous of the Tribal class) HMS Cavalier - Tier 8 (Preserved) HMS Zenith - Tier 8 (Maybe raise awareness of her perhaps?) Cruisers: Low tiers are not a problem at all, there are a lot of classes to choose from, at higher tiers though... Abdiel class - Tier 4 (6x 4 inch guns but 40 knots!) HMS Charybdis/ HMS Scylla - Tier 5 (Dido class with 8x 4.5 inch guns) HMS London - Tier 7 (Modified County class- more AA, more armour) HMS Belfast - Tier 8 (Would be very surprised if they didn't make Belfast a premium) If they are not hull upgrades to their respective classes then you can have- Uganda class - Tier 7 Bellona class - Tier 6 Battleships: HMS Dreadnought (WG Moneymaking) or one of the Bellerophon, St Vincent, HMS Neptune & Hercules classes - Tier 3 Indefatigable class Battlecruiser - Tier 3 Courageous class Battlecruiser - Tier 4 HMS Queen Mary - Tier 4 HMS Agincourt/HMS Erin/HMS Canada - Tier 5 Improved Admiral/Modernised HMS Hood - Tier 7 HMS Vanguard - Tier 8 Aircraft Carriers: Activity class Escort Carrier - Tier 4 Avenger class Escort Carrier - Tier 4 HMS Archer - Tier 4 Attacker/Ruler class Escort Carrier - Tier 5 Centaur class - Tier 7/8 HMS Victorious - Tier 7/8 - (USN flavoured Illustrious class)

    Royal Navy Tech tree Proposal

You really do seem to be alone in that corner, Vanguard is fine at tier 8, her guns are fine, slightly lacklustre for tier 8, but they will do the job nonetheless, and she would be very broken at tier 7. A Tier 9 ship bar the guns at tier 7 is never going to end well. Nelson is solidly tier 7, and KGV(1939) I'm certain should go at tier 8. G3 & N3 are tier 9, 1 variant of the Lion designs can go at tier 9, another at tier 10. Tier 10 has many options, L3(2) for BBs, and K3(2), H3 and I3 all possibilities for leading the Battlecruiser line. Gun calibre is not everything, and should not be used to determine a ships tier by itself. An example of that is Cleveland.
  25. Trainspite

    Uss Cleve's is it going........

I think tier 8 is more likely. Tier 7 belongs to Brooklyn and St Louis. (The other St Louis from 1938 that is)
