Honestly, my thoughts would have been that Tone would be an ideal Tier 8 cruiser. Given the ability to chuck up more than one fighter at a time, with larger plane reserves, she would be an excellent fleet escort. And I'm not too keen on her being a premium either. As I said in the previous thread, why WG have chosen Tone over Maya for a tier 7 premium is a little beyond me....

Doubtful, Wg take the lead ship name if the class name is a number or alike. Or they choose a suitable name for them. I consider Admiral, county, A,B,C or tribal to be in the category as numbered design ships.

Warspite can make 23.8 knots, so its not that slow, definitely faster than New Mexico.
-
On the subject of Hood or Admiral class, the tech tree ship should be Hood, as she was the lead ship of the class. Rodney, Anson and Howe were all cancelled. For a premium admiral class, they can use those names. Since Bismarck is the regular ship and Tirpitz is premium, it is very likely Hood will be the regular ship.

G3 is more suited be a tier 9 Battlecruiser. The Battlecruiser line would probably look like this: Invincible -> Lion -> Tiger -> Renown -> Hood -> J3 -> G3 -> (K3/I3/H3) Premiums could be: Indefatigable (III) Queen Mary (IV) Courageous (IV) Furious (as planned) (III/IV) Judging with Bismarck and Tirpitz, I would say that the refitted admiral class will be a a tier 7/8 premium, while Hood will be the regular tech tree Tier 7 BC.

Not perfect, but this was my take on the destroyer line. There are a few placings that should be changed, such as the Weapon class (Should be tier 8), as should be the S-Ts, U-Vs, & W-Zs.

HMS Canada - Premium Potential - Tier 5
Trainspite replied to Brokenstar's topic in General Discussion
Cleveland is being moved, most likely to tier 8 when the US Light cruiser line appears. Tier 8 is more likely for Edinburgh & Belfast. They are quite different to the rest of the towns. Edinburgh (main tech tree) & Belfast (Premium) Southampton/Gloucester would be the tier 7 Light Cruiser. My prediction for the Light Cruisers from tiers V-VIII would be: V VI VII VIII Arethusa(34) ->Leander -> Southampton -> Edinburgh Emerald -> Dido -> Fiji -> Minotaur? Scylla/Charybdis Bellona Uganda Belfast (Premiums) As for HMS Canada, she is unique, but very similar to the Iron Dukes, and therefore would make another decent tier 5 premium battleship alongside HMS Agincourt. -
Just to encourage some people on 1st game in the Tachibana. Burn more low tier battleships, burn more!

Warspite is the worst premium I have purchased from WG

If you want credits, I find she is okay, I have been steadily stacking up credits at quite a nice rate. Maybe its a little on the low side, but it's acceptable for me. 200k per decent game is not too bad... (Minus Premium - I'm a standard account pleb) -
What we know about Ships: Updated 05/04/2017
Trainspite replied to mr3awsome's topic in General Discussion
Yahagi is part of the Agano class. Her differences to her sisters are probably going to be upgrades/modules for the class. With me expecting future tier 5 cruisers to be: Hawkins, Emerald, Arethusa(1934) Duguay-Trouin, Capitani Romani, Emden and the already in-game Furutaka & Omaha(+Omaha variants) I would expect Agano to be amongst this lot. I agree, torpedoes are probably the best way to make her competitive within this selection, considering she is not going to be the best gunner out of the above. Her closest counterpart is probably Arethusa(1934) who has the edge in guns, but worse on the torpedo and speed fronts. -

OP telling people to learn to play because they don't agree with him and his views. How inconsiderate! I have to tell you, HMS Warspite is by no means a bad ship, and by trying to play it down, you are proving yourself to be 1.03% that don't like the ship. Warspite is a good ship. I find that her armour is better than that of Fusou. All you really need to do is angle between shots, and you should be fine. She doesn't often get citadel-d, and usually a repair ability will fix that. And that is if you are hit at all. Warspite is about the only battleship that can avoid shellfire like a cruiser, thanks to her excellent turning capabilities. This also means that torpedoes seldom hit the Grand old lady, unless you are not paying attention. And usually, at least 1-3 airplanes make the short trip to Atlantis when they attack. And then there are her guns. Which are epic. No doubt about that. The 15 inch Mk I is an awesome weapon. Both In game and In Real life. I can even live with the Turret traverse, using the excellent turning to get shots on target. All in all, I disagree with you on so many levels, it got old in 1500BC. -
I have created an abomination. This is what happens when imagination is combined with incompetence. It looks like Sprite decided to have a kancolle makeover.

Premium shop ships - no benefit (same error like in WoWP)

Corrections are due I think. HMS Warspite - (Above Average) Pros: Decent Armour Punchy guns with a powerful AP round. Excellent Turning Circle (Torpedoes? Nope!) Decent AA Meh: Speed - Faster than NewMex - slower than Fuso - 23.8 is not bad though. Range - More than adequate. Better than NewMex - Worse than Fuso. Especially with that scout plane, which helps at the beginning of the battle. Turret traverse speed - It's workable, swing the whole ship around, and don't be afraid to take hits. Cons: Accuracy of Guns - RNG dependent. USS Albany - (Below Average) Pros: Powerful guns for her tier. Decent Turning Circle Meh: Speed - Don't expect it at this tier. Cons: Range - Go full yolo and charge foward. It's quite funny actually. -
He already said it was this Blucher.

Things happen, The tide of battle ebbs and flows, unexpected and sudden shifts in the battle may require you to get in positions. Plus by the nature of maps and islands, if you go to one side of the map, a Cleveland can sail through the middle, and cut you off.

neg-rep farming? What do you expect by creating this thread?
-
Foresight Well, we do have Warspite, who should technically be better than Royal Sovereign, although it is a bit of a stretch.
-
Arkhangelsk & Novorossiysk (aka Royal Sovereign & Guilo Cesare) may be along soon. Just as long as they are not Murmansk-esque. Then I will be pleased to see them.
-
What I predict it will be, mainly based on number of planes stored. Pour over it to your hearts content shadowtiger.

More shameless plug! http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/12426-royal-navy-tech-tree-proposal/#topmost I have updated versions for Battleships/Battlecruisers & Aircraft Carriers if wanted. As for favourites, HMS Warspite springs to mind, but I have a soft spot for HMS Kent, as well as quite a few Destroyers.

I'm implying its fast enough for what it is. I have played it before in the closed beta, and it had good enough mobility to catch anything slower than it with ease. And ships that are faster which don't have a direct escape route. And They do dodge shells. Well, the good players do anyway.
-
Map Corners. Islands. A Cleveland can and will cut you off from an escape route.
-
They are anything but easy. If a Cleveland wants to close the range, it will. It has the speed and maneuverability to avoid incoming fire with ease.
-
I'm aware that Omaha is just as dominant as Cleveland, but Omaha got buffed, because somehow several people considered it quite bad. It was an unnecessary buff in my opinion, Omaha was already a great ship, and she may need those buffs taken away in due time. Maybe these buffs were trying to make sure Murmansk doesn't overshadow her too much. However Omaha fits in timeline-wise in WoWs at tier 5, while Cleveland is a tier 8/9, as Late World War 2 Light Cruiser. This does mess up balance quite a bit, having a ship from the 1940s and its modern AA and FCS etc. with 1920s treaty ships (e.g. - Omaha) Pheonix is slightly less dominant than the other two, but is a very strong shell lobber at her tier, but nowhere near the levels of overpowered as the other two.
