  1. He sunked my ship! I did not believe he could do such a thing to me!

    Pensacola - should be a tier 6.

Well, for starters Myoko has an advantage since she cheats the Washington Naval Treaty, meaning since WG try and stick to historical values, that Myoko has an automatic Health/Displacement advantage over the other tier 7 Heavy Cruisers that abode, or at least tried to. Her RoF is too high. The USN do not get 4.3 RPM until New Orleans. Even Atago only has 3.8. Both Aoba and Myoko do need to be hit with the nerf bat in this aspect. 4RPM would be decent to go by for Myoko. In short, Myoko has the best torpedoes, the most health, and the best firepower. Probably not a good thing, and therefore should be brought in line with the other tier 7 Heavy Cruiser candidates as well, most of which only have 8 guns.

    Pensacola - should be a tier 6.

You probably just invoked the wrath of piritskenyer. Pensacola is by no means a bad ship, just one that has an overpowered contemporary and predecessor (Myoko & Cleveland). She is just a little awkward to play due to her weaknesses, namely her detection range. Her AP however absolutely ruins those that get on the wrong side of it. Her mobility is first in class. She is by no means a bad ship at all, and I have quite enjoyed playing her. Still this is of relevance.

    HMS Campbeltown

Well, first off, 63 seconds is a lie. Anyone with any sense instantly gets Torpedo armament expertise and shaves off 7 seconds and brings it down to 56s. (Same goes for Warspites 72s turret traverse. I have a 56s on my Warspite, which is better than my NewMex) - Yes, this is still long, and is my only major gripe with the ship is that is should have been around 12s longer than Wakatake in the first place. Yet it is entirely possible to work with the torpedo reload if you choose your engagements. 3 Torpedoes that do almost 12000 damage. Comparing to 4 per side on Wakatake that do 11'800 That is nothing to be sniffed at. If all the torpedoes hit, Wakatake only does 4k more damage roughly more than Campbeltown. And this if the Campbeltown has not turned around and fired her other set of torpedoes. These torpedoes are what should be arming the tier 4 RN Destroyers, and probably the tier 5s as well, which is why they are so good. Campbeltown has devastating firepower in these torpedoes, just in unorthodox ways. Inferior firepower is definitely true, in most common senses anyway. Unless you charge the enemy destroyer, swerving from side to side able to use all 3 of it's guns. This tactic also puts off the enemies aim, and can help you dodge. And if it gets too hot, you can just smoke up and retreat where you can control the engagement. I'm sorry for you if you can't get the ship to work for you. She is a great little ship for me. Each game I have played I have racked up very nice results. And that is even with the spam of sealclubber Umikazes and Tachibanas around. Killed a couple of them as well. Then again, you are talking to the person who rated Pre-buff (CBT) Furutaka as one of his favourite ships. Maybe I am just that person who can get awkward ships to work. Edit: Apparently this is my devil post. Campbeltown confirmed evil overlord of destroyers.

    HMS Campbeltown

OBJECTION! If you had better torpedoes than the Wakatake mated with all of the Wickes guns, you would have yourself a horrible little seal clubber wouldn't you? She is fine in game, it just takes getting used to her unique playstyle.

Show the bling - Ships camo

Well, here be Cleveland's. Quite nice that the 5" turrets now have camo as well.

    HMS Campbeltown

It's effectively a Wickes with Wakatake standard torpedoes. Since I loved both of the former, I am extremely at home with Campbeltown ^^.

    New Orleans - CitadelHits

WG actually try to be historical with ships, or at least use historical values. So they try, and for the most part they do a decent job of translating a lot of historical values into the game. From a balancing point of perspective Cleveland has caused Aoba to be buffed up to what she is now, as well as mess up implementation of new similar cruisers. New Orleans was probably chosen for tier 8 since she is about the equivalent of Zara and other comparable cruisers, which are also tier 8 candidates. Although that decision was made quite a long time ago in the alpha test I believe.
  10. Looks at new XP mission. If only Trainspite was not so cheap. The highest result I got was 2'373 base xp without a premium account. With a premium account That is 3'559XP I think. Knowing me, those diamonds I missed from that mission are going to be the ones that make me miss Katori.
  11. Also found Takru as well. He being in the Yorck. Me in the Pensacola while divisioned up with Ozymandias and Fire+2 letters which I have forgotten already. We did not fight each other though. Just went our respective ways deleting other cruisers until deleted.

    Introduction of new ships

To be fair, she flew the flag for the RN and British Empire throughout the interwar period. She was the "ship" during that period, famous for her size and tours.

Well I would prefer RN Rum to be honest.

    That would be Courageous.

    Introduction of new ships

Royal Navy Light Cruisers late this year. Battleships might be coming for 2017. WG do aim to include a wide variety of ships from the RN, but it will take a lot of time to include most of them. thought the most popular and requested might come first.

Battle of Jutland on British TV

Nothing wrong with the design of the battlecruisers, just the way in which they were used and operated. That is true, he did not even bother to talk to the captains of the 5th BS for 4-5 weeks after they arrived IIRC. Meaning Evan Thomas had to make best guess as to what Beatty was up to.
  17. Trainspite

POLL: Which ships are you waiting for the most?

*crosses fingers* - HMS Caroline premium when? Nah, we could use the classes to condense that list down a bit... Still, if we did historical battles, we would have to split Jutland up into several mini-battles. Because a line of 27 Dreadnoughts might not leave space for the other team....
  18. Trainspite

POLL: Which ships are you waiting for the most?

Why only capital ships? HMS Caroline can into relevance too! Or SMS Wiesbaden. Maybe a destroyer, say HMS Nestor.

    [Suggestion] Pensacola tech rework

There are plenty of designs, most revolve around layouts of 1 Forward 2 Aft, 2F2A, 2F1A, but there are outliers, like these two:

    Bugged ships

Could be the situation where that section of a ship has an allocated quantity of hit points, so if that is exceeded, the ship doesn't take any more damage unless a different section of the ship is hit. Which is the reason why sometimes destroyers can eat multiple torpedoes in the same place, and live to tell the tale.

Battle of Jutland on British TV

Hipper beat Beatty. Scheer almost lost against Jellicoe. The battle can be described as that in ways.

    [Suggestion] Pensacola tech rework

Well, at tier 6 it would be devastatingly overpowered. Pensacola Preliminary design with 6, 7 or 8 8" guns is more comparable to Aoba (Aoba is mega buffed atm though) - The Pensacola preliminaries (picture coming when imgur decides to play along) offer a much better progression from Omaha to Pensacola. Cleveland is almost definitely a tier 8 Light Cruiser, her RoF (10RPM historically), AA & Citadel are all nerfed from what they should be. Her shell arc is the sticking point, but trying to cram a WW2 Light Cruiser into tier 6 against 1920s/30s Cruisers is not going to work. A lot of people say Northampton is worse than Pensacola on account of her displacement (HP), and armour. I rate them equally, so Northampton should be a tier 7 very similar to Pensacola, leading a second USN Heavy cruiser line to tier 8 Portland seems unlikely to turn up at this point since Indianapolis is here, but in the future she could have a chance as a tier 7 premium. (Will also post a picture of a re-worked USN Cruiser line if imgur works soon)
  23. Trainspite

    [Suggestion] Pensacola tech rework

Just about other potential tier 7 USN Premium heavy cruisers, Salt Lake City, Houston & Portland are all candidates in my eyes. Alongside Indianapolis. San Francisco, Wichita & 12 gun Pensacola Design are good for tier 8 as well. And just some eye candy for a Pensacola C hull:

Some interesting info around the world

That would just be the same as cloning the RN tech tree. Aside from the Cockatoo cruiser, and the Amphion sub class of Leander, which Australia bought (Therefore sort of shared with the RN), they would be RN clones. Therefore my best guess are themed premiums like for the RAN:
