Well, if you want differences in how high Warspite sits in the water, I did take two screenshots. The first is from the 15th August, while the second is from December 24th. I'm not quite sure about differences etc. , but Warspite is definitely not the ship she was when I first purchased her. She reached her peak around November last year for me. She still does not look right to me without her turret AA mounts, nameplate, and Flag on the mainmast however.

Yes. Yes it would.

Which ports would you like to see in game?
Trainspite replied to GhostRiderMax123's topic in Off-Topic
I heff ideas, WG listen to moi! Physically sailing your ships around the port would be fun though. (It will turn up in 5 or 6 years because WG priorities - That is if WG listens to me ) -
She does now. I suspect around 32 is a decent bet. Maybe 31 knots.

Or moving your ships around the port. Choosing their moorings etc. I like details like that for some reason. -

True, it can apply to other battles as well, although they may not be as significant date wise. After all, Jutland 100 only comes around once. While creating a new premium for each anniversary may be impractical, it might be nice to have appropriate sales and events themed around it. So discounts on the classes of ships present in the tech tree, on appropriate premiums as well. Jutland 100 would usually warrant something Big. It is a centenary in the end, however, with the lack of RN and HF vessels in the game, I can understand why it is a little low-key, so a premium sale or two could be warranted, along with a mission. However, a little more than an expensive flag and an article is really warranted. And thanks on the tech tree ^^, I have others on other navies, though I have kept those mostly private. That RN thread has been bobbing around for a year now, and is due an update, which I have not worked on. -
Not exactly, the event continues to the 8th of June, regardless if the 12m milestone has been reached, so to me, it is just something there that gives bonuses out. I agree on the wording, which was confusing and created unnecessary hype, in turn leading to disappointment and discontent. As for the weekly missions, they should have announced that before as well, so just a communication error again, although this time it's a little more serious in terms of deceiving people. My goal was Smith & Katori, so 800 diamonds. I have so far clawed my way 540, with a realistic 140 more to get. I would have collected at least 100 more or so, if I had premium, otherwise all the XP missions would be easy. But instead I did none. Which is annoying, and effectively ruled out Smith for me. Another set of weekly missions could have solved it, but I think by that point I had already given up on Smith. However, with relatively little effort (Excluding an entire night of playing Fubuki over to get tier 8 kills - completed that with 3 minutes to spare), I have managed to get that far. I guess your mileage with the game may vary however, one factor may be that I don't give WG as much money as you do, it seems.

Their intention was never to have a final from what I can see. Their wording is the source of the problem, and the hype surrounding it just fanned the flames of misconception. I would not regard as screwing up on a grand sacle, but it is a mistake, that got out of proportion.

Konigsberg 1905 is not in the game yet, so they would have to model a new ship. Keeping to ships currently in the game, we have none of the ships (German Cruisers that were at Jutland). Both of the Dresdens' were destroyed by Jutland, the two surviving Kolbergs' where absent, and the 4 Konigsberg 1915 (Karlsruhe in game) were not yet in commission. The only Jutland ships that WG have modeled are Warspite (after refit), and Caroline (As built). Plus the German BBs which are coming soon. And their tier 4 premium BB that could be Seydlitz. -
Well, WG had a plan and stuck to it. I mean if WG saw every-time that people were hyped for a ship, then that could be taken advantage of, and throwing in extra rewards would be more than WG is prepared to give in all honesty. They have admitted that it has been misunderstood, in terms of the scale of the rewards, but WG don't strike me as cheating anyone out of anything (or even that sorry, bar miscommunication), just letting the ball roll, and see those that did expect something more complain. It is tough if it is what you worked up the hype for, but don't expect anything for doing so, unless WG decide to be generous.
-
I suppose I am not annoyed at all by this since I did not expect much from the "secret" in the first place. It was not going to be a premium ship since that 12'000'000 was always going to be beaten in my eyes, so handing out a ship for free to everyone was out of the question. And that I did not contribute or grind the event much. Definitely did not try and be communal and get diamonds for the 12m mark. I did not leave with all I wanted, but I got out with Katori + whatever I decide to use the other 90 (Possibly 230 If I can be bothered to get the odd 30+ BB kills that have been avoiding me) diamonds on. Maybe the rewards are a little meh compared to Project R, lottery tickets and a few collector ships, but it is better than nothing, and this event has been considerably easier than Project R, for me anyway (Though I could not do a lot of the missions -XP ones- off the bat, due to having no premium account). The "reward" was only ever going to be something small, since it would be given to everyone. Unless it lead to a separate set of more missions for a ship. Which would have made the missions of GNB feel tedious and unnecessary.

I would suspect the range would be the same with both QE and Warspite, but hopefully QE can mount upgrades that improve it like the American BBs. QE is the most likely tier 6 RN BB at first anyway.
-
Range in game depends on the height of the rangefinder, or roughly thereabouts, so Hood as built may have not so good range, after her refit, it could be similar to Warspite. Also, it depends if WG give her the artillery plotting room module.

WG and the Jutland event (or lack thereof one)
Trainspite replied to Armo1000's topic in General Discussion
My hope that WG delayed any event has been slowly dwindling, and combined with real life intervening (maybe going 27 & counting hours without sleep is a factor), has made me quite depressed about it all. Dammit WG for lowering my expectations.... Still, maybe Caroline or Seydlitz can turn up this month at least... I retain hope that they can make an appearance sooner or later. -
True enough, but then which ship do you then use after that. I think WG use the lead ship after that, as after-all, you can't have Admiral, Town, J/K/N in the tech tree. Otherwise why give the paper ships appropriate names? As for the first BB line, The only mix of BCs and BBs I believe they may make is shoving Hood into tier 7 instead of a Improved QE design, due to her fame. I can see a BC premium like Queen Mary and Repulse sneaking in at some point before the BC tree however. Spoiler:

I confused. -
You can't really have the Hood as a premium, since she is the lead of the class. The Admirals are only different to Hood in the way Tirpitz is different to Bismarck, so you can't use Anson as a name either.
-
Hood had tier 8 levels of hit points, but her turning will be worse compared to the Colorado and Nagato. Her armour is about on par with them, but she has a lesser alpha strike than both of them. As well as the slow turning turrets. She fits in at tier 7 nicely. She wins out in the speed department however.

Rosyth would be nice - Forth Rail Bridge is pretty. Chatham Dockyard would also be nice, no bias there at all either, none whatsoever.... -
It's still more historical than Roon or Hindenburg. Such a mounting to allow for 3RPM did exist in plans, with a 1945 Lion weighing in at about 60'000t to 69'000t (Full load) - I know other people have better details on the design than I do though.
-
Hood is famed for being the biggest during the interwar, and effectively being the face of the empire. As well as her tragic sinking. It is more than just her demise Kazomir. As for British Tier 10 BBs, you have L3 - Like N3, but 2 knots faster, and with a better (for game purposes) turret layout - N3 herself is decent for tier 9. K3, H3, or I3. Battlecruiser studies. All can top a Fast BB/BC line. Lion 1945: - Good for leading a Fast BB tree. 16" at 3RPM, etc.
-
She would make an ideal tier 7 Fast BB, in a BC/Fast BB line. Although I suspect, due to her fame, she can displace an improved QE design at tier 7 for the first British BB line. (Sorry Nelson, you will have to wait until the Slow BB line - Rodney as a premium however)

WG and the Jutland event (or lack thereof one)
Trainspite replied to Armo1000's topic in General Discussion
Am I the only one here that thinks WG have managed to run over their event deadline due to various reasons, and that instead of announcing an event, they have decided to stay quiet on it. I mean, it seems far too unlikely that WG EU have ignored Jutland 100 completely. And it is okay to retain hope, right? -
Admiral Graf Spee & Tone, looking at you....

PROPOSAL: Full German Capital Ships Line (BB/BC)
Trainspite replied to 1MajorKoenig's topic in Battleships
Give Seydlitz already! A tier 4 premium German Battleship was mentioned as being ready, so I feel as if WG have missed the deadline/are running behind schedule again, just like they did with Campbeltown. Caroline, at least in original form is modeled by WG as well, so I get the feeling we might be seeing those two at a later date. If it is Seydlitz that is.
