Then I can split my definition of designed up into sub sectors if you so wish, to avoid confusing people. Official Design, Impressionistic Design based on historical figures, Design based around fictional figures. Is that better for you?
-
Depends what you count as designed. I have usually counted specifications in with that. So in my eyes it is designed, or at least to a point. Fair enough if you have a different view of designed to me though. I am aware that Zao uses a model that is based on those specifications. Ibuki was being built, then was to be converted into a carrier. I already know this...
-
Or we could just not quit in the first place. That way we avoid for the most part the fracturing that leaving creates. Scotland is more likely than not to head for the door if the UK does leave, and Northern Ireland & London may follow.
-
Zao is fine. Was actually designed IIRC. Roon & Hindenberg are ships designed by WG to mount equipment designed by the germans.

First German BB Leak - STOP THIS PAPER "WHAT-IF" UPGRADE IDIOCY!
Trainspite replied to 1MajorKoenig's topic in Battleships
It's decent enough. Konig and Bayern would need the upgrade. Kaiser, not so much really. Slap a few more AA mounts on, and he would be fine, don't really think a full rebuild was necessary. Aside from H41 seeming to have triple turrets, which confuses me a little.- 333 replies

What we know about Ships: Updated 05/04/2017
Trainspite replied to mr3awsome's topic in General Discussion
I'll change it soon . -
Bar from Kaiser. Not sure if that is a mistake or not. And am I the only one that prefers Friedriech de grosse at tier 9, as I thought it would be? The only thing that bugs me is the exlcusion of Hutten & Berlichingen for the tier 10, but it is only minor. Maybe those two names can be reused at some point for Kriegsmarine BCs, or the later panzerschiffes.

Tier 9 CL in a USN CL line. Currently listed as tier 10, but can't compete with the other prospective tier 10 CLs. I would have to say you are not exactly saying anything new, since WG and most people already know about these ships.
-
Tier 8 premium. Due to fame. So she would be likely to sell well for WG.
-
Brooklyn class are most likely tier 7 on a USN Light cruiser line, with a few nerfs. None of them really stand out as a premium candidate however. Just stating what I and WG already know.

HMS SIRIUS - Dido-class AA Cruiser as a premium t7
Trainspite replied to appel1931's topic in Cruisers
Well, an AA cruiser line or part of is possible for the British, using such designs after the Dido, and the C class AA conversions. However, I think Dido should have a chance in a secondary RN light cruiser line. They also don't especially play like Atlanta, since they can get a realistically highest RPM of 10, and can't exactly compare to Atlanta in a lot of ways. They won't exactly play like Atlanta, Atlanta doesn't have a place at tier 6, she would be overpowered there, but how she is at the moment means she is inadequate at times at tier 7. Her firepower is simply too much for tier 6. Dido's on the other hand isn't so she can play more like a conventional cruiser (A little like Nurnberg). (Euryalus is my favourite of the bunch) -
Keep that £190m, then lose it in economic crashes, and not be able to spend it anywhere. And then lose money on the whole thing. Good Job. (Seriously there is a reason leaving the EU is so looked down upon by the international community.) (Plus that £190m you get back is not likely to be spent in the places you want)

Pick for the first French premium ship.
Trainspite replied to anonym_XGuN6pHmfiJ9's topic in General Discussion
De Grasse in her AA cruiser form is a decent bet for tier 8, being better than Atlanta is most ways. Suffren and Duquesne are more likely to be tier 7s, though Duquesne could work at tier 6 with suitable adjustments. I wouldn't advise that though. Then again with La Galissonniere looking increasingly unlikely to be tier 6 if WG keeps balancing cruisers like this, then Duquesne at tier 6 could just happen. Gascogne is a decent bet for an alternative tier 8 premium to Jean Bart. -
HMS SIRIUS - Dido-class AA Cruiser as a premium t7
Trainspite replied to appel1931's topic in Cruisers
The Didos are more suited to tier 6 than 7, given they are in most aspects smaller than Atlanta. I can't really see the need for a Dido premium, since the Bellona's and the toothless terrors (Scylla & Charybdis) have that covered. (Albeit at tier 5). -
Louisville, along with the rest of the Northampton class, should be the tier 7 in a second US Heavy Cruiser branch, which goes from tier 7 to 10. Northampton would take that spot, and there is a better candidate for a premium Northampton, namely Houston, say Louisville, aside from the C hull for Northampton, would lose out.

A Detailed look at Project 1047 Battlecruiser (Lert)
Trainspite replied to Trainspite's topic in Battleships
Someone already reviewed Strasbourg here. However, I will give it a thought, since I disagree with the conclusions and think Strasbourg is 6/7 and not 5/6.- 67 replies

Trainspite replied to anonym_XGuN6pHmfiJ9's topic in General Discussion
At some point I think I wanted Abruzzi at tier 7, but Nurnberg did change that. Still I think D'Aosta could have had a chance at tier 6, but then two Russian ships appeared on the scene.... About Richelieu, Jean Bart could make a decent tier 8 premium, but Richelieu herself would be the tech tree ship. Strasbourg can work at tier 7 as a regular, and Dunkerque could be a tier 6 premium as well. -
While I shouldn't really... *poke*

A Detailed look at Project 1047 Battlecruiser (Lert)
Trainspite replied to Trainspite's topic in Battleships
While I'm not sure if I like the premium tag, though since the Dutch can't get much higher in terms of BBs, I think it will end up as a premium. Yes, 1047 would effectively be a toned down Scharnhorst at tier 6, very good at making cruisers evaporate, but close range engagements definitely are not her/his thing. And I will duly pass your compliments to Lert, I'm sure he will be appreciative!- 67 replies

Pick for the first French premium ship.
Trainspite replied to anonym_XGuN6pHmfiJ9's topic in General Discussion
Gloire was mentioned somewhere along the line, and is an ideal ship for tier 6. So my guess is for her. The rest of the class ( La Galissonniere) can't really hold their own at tier 6 anymore due to the very poor cruiser power creep happening at tier 5 and 6. The same goes for the previously solidly tier 6 cruisers like Leander, D'Aosta and Agano-Kai. -

Sampson & Novik. And no tier 3s really underperform for me, so Kawachi gets a vote. Even if it is undeserved in my opinion. Changed it to St Louis for schitz und giggles.

First German BB Leak - STOP THIS PAPER "WHAT-IF" UPGRADE IDIOCY!
Trainspite replied to 1MajorKoenig's topic in Battleships
Iowa is longer than Yamato. Yamato is not exactly the biggest in some categories. But WG have stated that Yamato will have the biggest guns in the game (18.1" / 460mm). The only exception is H42, only if H41 proves uncompetitive. Seeming that H41 would probably be fine if some of the gun stats were tweaked (RoF etc.), I severely doubt H42 will appear. Oh, Roon & Hindenberg are WG created ships based around historical armaments.- 333 replies

Damage Saturation. Or you were shooting in the wrong place. Or both. Or neither if you are troll. One of the 4 above. Choose wisely.

It's effective. technically I earn this much, but in practice/reality this is how much I get. Doesn't mean that you don't have to pay the taxes though. So you can try and claim that figure, but you are being unrealistic and are lying to yourself unless you include full context. Spinning figures and language doesn't change the facts.
