What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

One does not simply kill New Mexico. Ended the game on just Number 3 turret still operable and 4k HP, after using all 3 health pots. Apparently charging headlong into a Kirishima and other New Mexico does that. -
Hello all. - "Updated Proposal on Page 3." - "Premium Ship Proposals on Page 5" - Latest version (Last Updated 12-3-2016): Main Tree: Premiums: I have drawn up a plan of how a Royal Navy Tech Tree could look in world of warships as the game exists now. I spent a whole a evening lost in my two copies of Jane's fighting ships, reading, so hopefully this should be fairly accurate. Constructive criticism is welcome, I have had 1 or 2 doubts on the tree, namely the Dido & Town class cruisers, which I should probably switch around, and just for simplicity's sake, I have separated Battleships/Battlecruisers out into 2 lines, which could be stuck together later. Lets see what you guys think! Cruisers: Battleships/Battlecruisers: Destroyers: Aircraft Carriers:

Discussion thread for "some interesting info around the world"

I found the AP on Omaha to be quite good to be honest... - nowhere near as good as the BB citadel hunting German 150mm AP, but decent enough. -
AMCs like Jervis Bay are little tricky to balance, usually they have a 3-4 gun broadside of cruiser guns that puts them at tier 2 or 3, but they are huge, slow, and have no armour. So you get the maneuverability and speed of say South Carolina with a cruiser armament. While being spotted from across the map. I don't think we will be seeing them anytime soon, if at all (Convoy mode?). Caroline should appear at some point. WG do tend to make museum ships premiums if they don't get in the way of the tech tree. Tier 3 premium with her 4x 6" gun set up would be ideal.

True, true... but that takes more effort than throwing £30 at WG! -
Atlanta doesn't fit in any USN cruiser tree, CA or CL. Hence the whole class is put into a premium role. Dido however can nudge her way into one of two possibly 3 RN CL lines. Especially since there are following designs like N2 that fit in with Dido in a line. Premium status is given to sister ships, or unique/duplicate classes, and Dido doesn't really fit into any of those, given the number of spin-off 5.25" armed designs the RN had. I would think that if you had to have a regular Dido premium, take one of her sisters, and keep Dido back for a tech tree, so you could get a premium 10x 5.25", as well as Bellona and Scylla/Charybdis.

It might come with a nice camo. ;) Maybe consumables and equipment would help make her unique from Admiral Hipper. -
Dido is better off being in a second RN CL line to be honest. The variants of Dido like Charybdis/Scylla and Bellona can make decent premiums. Also, 10km torpedoes.

However, Konigsberg has awesome sauce AP in game. It doesn't really matter, the RN gun should have fairly middling stats in terms of shells, so the advantage can come in RoF. Or at least to have the same RoF as the other 6" spammers. I don't think the really good hull will make up for it. Other prospective Tier 5s like La Galissonniere may need a lower RoF however, which they have. Kongisberg has the better ballistics and range as well, so Leander having the same Rate of fire, but being a more well rounded ship seems reasonable. Looking at Omaha, she has 8.5 RPM, with similar guns and an 8 gun broadside. Or 7 if you use the C hull. Leander is the better boat than the other tier 5s. Fast, decently protected, plenty of HP, and joint best maneuverability with Omaha. With long range torpedoes to boot. It is not exactly hard why she was a tier 6 in my eyes until Buddy and Molotov pushed the bar higher than Leander can realistically manage. However, at tier 5, I can't see her RoF being anything below 7.5. Nurnberg is arguably tier 7 matieral if she had her 12 RPM, and less crappy HE shells. She is at tier 6 because Leipzig was too similar to the Ks before, and they were originally planned to be tier 6. 12RPM was too much for tier 6, hence 10 is used. Most cruisers tend to use the top RoF value or a buffed one. Only those that can afford to lower have it in the middle of the values. Leander should not fall behind compared to the other tier 5s, hence why I would suggest at least 7.5 and preferably 8. If Leander overperforms, then it is WGs fault for their borked cruiser balance and power creep, since she should be at tier 6. -

Well, that applies but Leander does need her 8 at tier 5 with Konigsberg at 8 as well, and while Cleve & Buddy have less than 8, the guns for Buddy and the rest of the ship for Cleve are better. It does give the RN cruisers something over the Russians, making them better for Close-Mid range engagements. Cleveland would have her 10, but she is squished into tier 6, so she is the exception really. But I think the final result will be 8 to be honest. Considering they could go higher if need be. I'm not exactly familiar with the names of RN whingers... -

Well, on the line above I created, the same guns would be used from tiers 5 to 8. All that use it should have a RoF of 8, so slightly faster than Cleveland, and the shell arcs would be a little better. Of course, the tier 9 and 10 in that line get anywhere between 15 and 20. -

Well, yes. Minotaur Z4A was seen being modelled. A definite tier 10. With only 3 classes of CA, that fit in at 5, 6 and 7 respectively, it seems a little silly to try and push one of those into a line when the RN has an abundance of CLs, since the RN decided to build a lot more CLs than CAs. A first CL line would only need two paper ships, the tier 9 and 10, while a CA line would require a tier 4, 8, 9 and 10 that were never built. And mixing the two isn't a very good option. My best guess at this point is: Edit: Put Belfast in as tier 8 premium as well. And Caroline as a tier 3 premium (4x 6" refit). Premium Leanders and Towns could also work. As well as Delhi at tier 4. There are a lot of candidates really. -

Well, the shell balistics would be meh, above DM, but below everything else. However, the primary and secondary guns.... They seem apt enough. -

[Premium Ship Suggestion] USS St. Louis CL-49/USS Helena CL-50
Trainspite replied to SeaMonsterUK's topic in Archive
To be honest, on the NA forum, you can get away with a proposal of a ship being in the general gameplay as long as you put it in the context of how it can play in game. Hence, my reviews of Surrey etc. over there are in general, but here, they would just get moved, so I stuck them in the ships from the start. -

Roma - Tier VIII Premium Italian BB suggestion
Trainspite replied to ImperialAdmiral's topic in Battleships
*Looks at Marblehead and Murmansk. And Kamikaze R and Fujin. Since Roma is arguably the more well known of the 3, if she makes money, I guess WG would put her in, since she doesn't interfere in a tech tree. -

Ask the people who organised the forum then.... On NA they have a suggestions part, though it just got condensed a bit. -

I think I got about 60-70k dmg that game, and really should have got my 'tis but a scratch (Flesh wound) for going full remove cappers. But that was definitely my kill, I even got 4 secondary hits on him if I remember correctly.... As for results. Pensacola doing Pensacola things. To a broadside Nagato. -
Nyeheheheh. I'm not going to be allowed to beat that score, ever. Nah, just putting it in for (Choose on the following): [showing off/ Penasolca is awesome/ You say Pensa is bad, fight me 1v1 m8!] But getting 80K regularly is not exactly bad either. It is countered by how many times I completely yolo forward and die because I think I am in an OP Myoko.
