That is the main tree . The rest of the candidates get bundled into the premium section. It is just how many trees can be made in total, realistically without resorting to a majority of design ships. Eventually, after many many years, the tree could end up looking like the above. I can create a cropped down tree for your viewing though (Cutting out Slow BBs, 2nd & 3rd DD lines, 2nd CL line, 2nd CA line, and the unarmoured carrier line). Worcester wouldn't be a bad premium actually, a possible tier 3 in her 1940-42 form, with 3 120mm guns and only 1 triple torpedo launcher. She would make Campbeltown a little obsolete though, but I can't see Worcester at tier 4 that well. Vansittart gets the tech tree spot because she is the lead of (sort of) the modified W class. Though I think Volunteer and a few others are older than the Vansittart, so I probably should change it to them.

It's more that I probably couldn't find anything else to say about the Italian ships and your line, except that Das ist gut. I'll probably put another version in, with the cruisers re-arranged, though it is a little awkward, WG have used a tier 10 candidate at tier 9 :/ Late night tech tree workings! Plus, there are certain things I'm not... Talkative and informing people is one .

What where the glorious moments of the other navies then? The RN has plenty of good moments in WW2, but I think you are one of those people with a disdain for them anyway. Maybe something about the RN being the biggest navy in the games timeframe, until 1944 when the USN finally overtook the RN. In the games timeframe, the Dutch navy wasn't exactly much I'm afraid. A mere shadow, and not a major player at all. We are not covering the 1770s and 1780s here remember. Korean war configuration. The Capital no less.

I think the bigger factor was that Belfast exists with her fairly distinct bridge on the Thames, and since that is the Belfast that is known, that is the Belfast they get. I predicted Belfast as a tier 8 premium in her North Cape condition, but I guess that will have to be represented by the Steady Eddie.
-
That is Belfast though (Well, maybe the model for Edinburgh, but close enough to Belfast). As she appeared in 1942. How she is in game is how she looked during the Korean War, where she received another refit. They could have included her Korean war service in the video as well... and a little more on the North Cape, but oh well. It's not exactly advertising Belfast for premium, that would be the armada series, this is more historical based.

It isn't the 15"/42 that would arm KGV, but the 15"/45 Mk.II. The /42 would appear on Vanguard I imagine though. The later modifications to KGV, DoY, 'Andsome and 'Howe are enough to make them better than a premium PoW, so a boosted heal would probably not be necessary, though appreciated. Almsost definitely, DPM is a mere potential that never gets reached, and is subject to so many factors in game that it is basically pointless as a balancing mechanic. -
No. The decision was made some time before I think, but that was before Budyonny and Molotov appeared on the scene, creating a huge power creep that leaves many ships in doubt of their tiers. Think Agano, Giussiano, La Galissoniere. Leander at tier 6 is right, but the power creep makes it seem bad. The solution would not be to down tier them, but to nerf Buddy, at least. And move Cleveland to tier 8 where she belongs.

WG have given out ahistorical supercharges out before, so KGV receiving the supercharges is not out of the question, as too are a rate of fire slightly over 2 RPM and special AP abilities, as the devs seem to be interested in that kind of stuff atm. I am personally against seeing the 15" armed KGV in game, simply from the point of view that it is not KGV in my eyes, and that it is needlessly awkward when the true KGV can work just as well at tier 8 if it needs to. And the rage that it would cause for having one of the more important classes in WW2 put into a premium only role. Prince of Wales should be a tier 8 premium nontheless though. Maybe similar to how Prinz is, if WG can't find a way to differentiate her. -
Well, either that or I need a buff.

WG don't need to make their own for the British, there are plenty of designs around for the RN. This would be my best guess for the first RN BB tree.... III: Bellerophon (Dreadnought if WG don't make her a premium) IV: Colossus (From how Kaiser is heavily fictionally modernised, the same might turn out for Colossus, and WG might choose her for uniqueness over Orion) V: Iron Duke (Probably also with a 'what if' Warspite like rebuild - mixed secondaries) VI: Queen Elizabeth VII: Nelson VIII: KGV (1938) IX: Temeraire (Lion 1942) X: Thunderer (Lion 1945) Since that doesn't fit the WG gun calibre rule (which I dislike anyway and think should be disregarded), and since I rate Nelson more likely than a faster QE design for tier 7, WG can actually put Hood and J3 alongside Nelson and KGV as an alternative line until the BC line arrives in full. Partly because famous ships and variety, and partly because that way WG can technically say the line abides by the gun calibre rule. -
No one has that yet. It got removed from those who had it on the Chinese server as well IIRC.
-
No, but the initial decision, they could have made Tirpitz the regular in the way many people seem to want a regular Anson or Howe. They would have made so much money off Bismarck it would be untrue. More than Tirpitz I would say. Based on that decision on theirs (Lead ship goes over premium), they should hold true and keep Hood for a regular role.
-
Or at least started since it takes somewhere around 6 months or so.
-
Yeah, that has been around for the last two of those episodes I think. However, Hood was mentioned as 'not modeled' a few months ago in a Q&A, so I doubt she is anywhere near getting into the game at the moment.

Well the answer to me is F2/F3 BC design, but that is a BC equivalent of Nelson and really doesn't fit in the progression between Renown and BC Design J3. I would think there are too many BCs that were built to be simply excluded from having their own trees. I guess WG will get around to doing it at some point, though not soon. The RN, HF/KM and IJN can manage BC lines very easily. The USN would have one that is (almost) entirely paper (which makes it unlikely for a very long time). Germany could even get a dedicated Armoured Cruiser/Panzerschiffe line. -

So what are you going to use for a tier 7 British BC in a BC line then? The same could be applied to Bismarck you know. If they wanted to, they could have. -
No doubts. Why not have both? Vanguard would be a tier 8 premium in my opinion, firstly because she doesn't fit in the tech tree anywhere, except where KGV would be. And she is unique and famous.
-
They do have Rodney. Slayer of the Bismarck, as a potential tier 7. Market her as that, and she could sell pretty well, especially if she is released before any mention of the RN BB line. Maybe a long time down the road you could see the F2/F3 BC designs appear as a premium. Hood was the only one built, but people seem to think that it makes sense to then try and put another Admiral as a tier 7 regular, with Hood as a premium, which doesn't work really. It wouldn't surprise me, but I would be pretty disappointing in WG's double standards on making a money grab. Esp after they did not do it for Bismarck. There are plenty of other famous British BBs aside from Hood remember.

L3 would be a better fit at tier 10, since it is faster, and more flexible than N3, with the same armament and armour. N3 is more suited to tier 9. Please no. No. No. No. Made up? Come on, I know it was quite a few pages ago I posted this (again), but there are no less than 3 designs that fit for a tier 10 BC/Fast BB line. K3, H3, and I3. And it does depend which variant of H3 you use. Probably H3a. -

Dreadnought, Bellerophon, St Vincent, Invincible and Indefatigable are the tier 3 candidates. 2 are BCs and so are associated with that line (1 regular, 1 premium). Bellerophon is probably most likely for a first line, Dreadnought as a premium, and St Vincent leading a RN Slow BB line. Neptune is more worthy of tier 4. Though Colossus is more likely to be the tech tree ship over her. Probably would receive a fictional upgrade that makes Colossus, Hercules & Neptune resemble the R class. Orion would probably resemble the Rs as well with a fictional modernisation as well. Tier 4 would work for her, though it can be argued she is tier 5 material. I would think tier 4 more likely though, which I would prefer. -
Well, hopefully you would know my response to that. Making Hood a premium is a money grab at the expense of the British BC line. They resisted the urge with Bismarck, so I hope they can do so here.

I have Warspite, New Mexico and Dunkerque. I can't say which is best, but Dunkerque's guns definitely are the best for slicing open enemies. That if you find a broadside ship and land a few of your shots. Also pretty good at deleting cruisers. When facing an angled target, I would probably take a Warspite. New Mexico is best for bullying at medium long range and her simple broadside weight. They have their 3 roles though, Dunkerque requires handling finesse and attention, New Mexico requires a general awareness of speed and where you are going. Warspite is Warspite. Can't really think of a way to play her that isn't stately sail forward and engage, though I am very much used to how Warspite plays, having played many games in her, hence I have adapted to the ships features.

I didn't notice any unusual dispersion on Nassau compared to the SoCar or Kawachi. All 3 have their wibbles to me, and Nassau is simply very good at getting in someones face and bullying them until they die. Nassau is currently the best performing tier 3 BB though, a la Warships today. The dust might still be settling, but I am noticing it really. It probably is just a case of not getting along with the ship. It does happen I guess, though I am quite lenient on ships I do/don't like. The only ships I can really say I did not get along with are Novik and Hatsuharu, though that was not much fault of the ship itself.
-
I did for a moment. It usually doesn't annoy me. I would get annoyed at certain things, but the stuff that WG EU do doesn't usually bother me. I just keep on playing the game as I do. I don't spend a lot on the game, with or without bundles though I can definitely understand the annoyance at situations like that. I highly doubt it would be handed out as a gift for free. At the end of a series of missions maybe, but that technically isn't free. Especially if said missions are hard/challenging to complete. It doesn't make the ship any less overpowered. You could hand out Nikolai's to everyone, but that only creates problems, and certainly does not make the ship not OP. No. But imagine if the Nikolai and Gremyaschy were on constant sale. How many people would pick them up and play them. If you have some control over the numbers then it is a good thing. Then apply to this situation. I would now expect you to try and argue that Albert is not Nikolai OP, which is true, but she is OP nonetheless. Your points just don't hold up. Imagine if Konig Albert was this overpowered at tier 8 as well. People wouldn't stop playing it. It is simply not a good path to go down, even if it is tier 3. Yes there is a disadvantage, it is just too much to handle/hassle and complication for the benefit, which is not a lot in WG's eyes I would imagine. In this aspect, I don't think you are looking at the bigger picture.
