TRB. Always makes you a bigger threat and can always be used. Smoke doesn't matter anymore. if a CV wants you, it gets you. All you do is waste your time sitting in smokes waiting to die. Plus those line of DD's don't really benefit from farming damage from smoke with guns. It's better to spot and be the torp threat. Overall it's the riskier choice, but the better choice. Results speak for themselves for me. Especially after just grinding the line out on NA in the much newer meta. People who want subs don't care about them being balanced. They just want an easy click damage button that's hard to fight back on fair term with. They are the under water version of the CV's. Everything else suck on the surface is just food and fodder for them.
