Shiratsuyu isn't a stealth boat, none of them from that split are meant to be stealth boats, though Kitty has a respectable concealment. It's a gun boat with torpedos. A very strong gun boat at that. Which has also had a gun buff effectively giving it built in IFHE. If you're hoping and waiting for stuff to happen/not happen then I don't think you are playing them right and to their potential.

No offence or anything, I do it all the time. Mass and Jervis are very strong. Very, very strong. Here are the results I get from them, I don't fear any other DD. I'm a DD hunter.

Frankly there is no difference between the performance in tier difference. The only difference and variable is the skill of the individual player. Between my T7 and T8 across both my accounts there is very little disparity. Why? Because the features of the ships vary and all have pros and cons. Concealment is only one factor that makes up the strengths or weakness of a DD. Long running account ships. New account ships. As you can see. Very little difference between tiers. In fact Id go as far as to say the biggest difference between tiers are 9 and 10 DD's. The T9 are better than the T10 DD's in almost every way.

Simple. I’m asashios case you are faster normally and can gun them down. They have deep water torps that can’t hurt other DD’s. Yukiaze whilst also having excellent concealment also only has 8km torps. Start a gun fight while kitting away, that’s how you knife fight other DD’s anyway. T7 DD’s have some of the best DD’s in game. Jervis, Mass and Gajah are no joke and can toe to toe with the best of them. DD’s are high skill. I can’t say I struggle in any DD tier but that’s what playing 1000’s of games in them does and understand how all them work. Learning their strengths and weakness. Positioning is also key. Starting a knife fight with support close or doing it on your own away from allied ships will determine the fight more than what ship you are in and they are in. There are many factors that affect a DD vs DD fight. What tier the ships are is very rarely the deciding factor.

Respond away, that's the point of this forum :) I'd argue that the old RTS CV's were the highest skilled/Highest reward class. Which is why the rework came about. The Highest skilled CV's could just stomp teams single handed and obliterate a average to poor CV. The reworked CV's? potatos can get in on the action now CV's can't really fight each other making DD's now the Highest Skill for Highest reward ships. T10 games will now only have 1 CV which means you'll also get T8 CV's solo... a lot. Yeah, T8 CV's against Mino, Worcester, Des Moines, Montana, Gearing and Grozo? Not that tough being a surface ship in that. Lower tiers? Bit tougher. I find T8 surface ships mostly are capable of withstanding the attacks of a T6 CV.... Double games. Different kettle of fish but WG have said that will not change in lower tiers.... yet anyway. Lemming trains are nothing new. Blobbing, well if players are to scared to move out and force a game. Then they deserve to lose. Musashi was food for my Jutland in ranked. Food. Musashi also oddly countered Musashi. Again, like Yammy it has glaring weakness'.

I don't agree on this, it's just that DD players need to learn that now DD's are the highest Risk, Highest reward ships. They have always needed high skill to get the best out of them. DD players need to accept that CV's are staying, as they are with only minor tweaks here and there. Adapt or die. Really has come down to that. It adds a whole new style, and has been nothing short of an absolute game changer like them or not. Again, they are here to stay. These ships are not OP. They are however either played by few very good players who earned them so are few in number and played by the best (Stalingrad, Black, Bourgoune etc) but they are not OP. All of them, Jean Bart included have massive weaknesses. Stalin in randoms is slow to manoeuvre and gets focused and burnt to a crisp. Black has slow torps, and can be counter radared due to have only a limited range radar and can be baited easily. Musashi is a big slow target, that like Yamato gets focused to death if alone. Has worse AA and a weaker torp belt. Jean Bart has smaller calibre guns that most Cruisers can bow tank on. 3 years plus of playing this game. It's always been like that. It's called random for a reason. Unlike Tanks, a mistake made has bigger consequences. High Risk, high reward again. Don't see what your getting at here? Divisions are only 3 players max, and the whole part of the game is teamwork... are you wanting less teamwork? Coz banning divisions is how you get less teamwork. I bet for every division that has beaten you, one had helped you win a game. That I actually agree with. Again, high risk high reward. That's why you get more exp when bottom tier and do well against top tier opponents. Do you complain when you're a T8 against lower tiers? Doubt it. Again. It's working as intended. WG have said it's not changing. Just be thankful you didn't play when it was an even bigger tier range.

Where does the money players spend go? Certainly not in the server. You’re the only game and game client I run that has regerular problems. It’s a good job I like your games because your customer service isn’t... well good. No no doubt I’ll also be pink again, like the last 3 times this has happened recently. GJ keeping is players satisfied... And buy the hamster servers the good vodka not the cheap stuff if that’s what it takes.

Issue is every time there is any sort of update including the chat server etc. The game goes haywire and boots left right and centre. Happens every time there is some sort of update. The first thing to go is the UI then crash imminent.

I'm still learning, a lot. Never really done CV's. That's why I asked for help in previous threads and gave @El2aZeR a replay to assess. My Ryujo went from pitful 20% WR to well, much better. This is the last 30 days worth of playing it. Same results solo and division. And Lexington I'm 40 games in. Again, was around the 20/30% WR and now 50% with Kill rate and damage increasing. Fubuki did die to my bombers in the one run I took on him. He was on the other flank. When I finished the Nurnberg and Kagero, both on the closest flank, when he wasn't in smoke he was my target. My team also evaporated, hard to win games when all 11 other players potato. I'm not a purple CV unicorn and able to carry in the class without a lot of effort. You can see that in my teams score Hence I just didn't have the time to finish or target the healthy ships left. And for the record. The last DD sat with the Baltimore and Fiji then entire game. Both have very respectable AA.

Well no. That’s stupid. I’d just wait until the smokes done then go with DB’s. One good drop even with AA support is more than possible. Games are potentially 20 mins long. And patience is a virtue.

DD's are food for my Ryujo's torps... And Lexy DB's love me some DD's and cruisers... and BB's... And I feel bad at how little counter those DD's had. I mean... Just drop, cirlce drop. If they smoke before I get a clean drop. I can just whizz over as soon their smoke finishes and do it all again.

Really starting to get the hang of this CV now. Win some and lose some, nearly always topping the score board. Also Ryujo is turning into a gem. Love torping me DD's early doors

I'm not a great BB player but in her even I can do very well. In the hands of great BB players I've see them stomp teams. Now in the current meta she has AA good enough to defend herself and nearby ships and can counter DD's that get to close. Though I'm an odd duck and still prefer the silver FDG. Yep. You read that right.

Poor DD's... I'm sorry, I truly am. But I know just how dangerous smolbotes can be. Pretty much all my efforts and damage went into killing them and halting any momentum they could gain.

Just had an extremely tight game against @rnat in which we snuck a victory in the last few seconds as I was able to "sneek" into their cap and block it :P. @Saltface also played a defensive blinder on the weaker side defending that cap valiantly until he was swarmed to death. GG and may there be many more :)
