I am bang average in her. And I have no love for compared to GK, Republique and Montana. But when I do play with her I always stay with the fleet. Never get separated. That’s how you get whittled down and sunk.

If you don’t have Enterprise get it, you don’t miss not having HE bombs at all and the AP bombs are hilarious. Lexy is solid though so you’ll enjoy her. I do have a soft spot for Ryujo and Kaga. Not bothered with Shokaku yet.

Dear fellow DD players. Yes, CV's are not fun to be up against. Yes, there is an unbalance in the force that we haven't seen in a long time. But, and a big but... THIS DOES NOT EXCUSE YOU FROM MAKING MULTIPLE MISTAKES AND BLAMING CV's! Yes, you are making it damn near impossible to defend DD play against CV's when game after game DD players potato, make critical mistakes then blame it on others. Own up to your god damn errors. This game, the one attached was a pretty standard game, that i'm seeing all the time, daily, not just weekends. Wasn't a super quick steamroll, wasn't a super unicum division steaming the map, no OP ships, not a top tier "seal club session" (not that it exists) or even a low teir seal club session. It was only 1 CV per team so can't use the excuse of doubles CV's being to much. Yet the DD's on the red team especially make it damn near impossible to defend on the forum. Watch it, you'll see. Sitting slow by an island after being spotted and hit once, that's a DB dropping. Trying to take a cap solo with 0 support or allies close by against a DD and CV's?? That's a DB dropping. Smoking up then leaving the smoke to get spotted again and focused down, that's a DB dropping. You get the picture yet? And before anyone calls me a CV lover etc etc. As I've said many many times I'm a DD main, a bloody good one who worked hard to get there. Who own up to mistakes made, yes, I can potato like the best of them, I just don't blame it on others to hide my short comings. Ohhh and look who topped the board, a DD with a brain... shocking. Learn the basics, learn the new meta. Own your mistakes and learn from them. Then you'll have credibility when calling out WG on this.... this whatever it is they have unleashed. My bad, been a loooooong week. And yes, I’m aware it’s only Wednesday Either way they are excellent. 3 passes and the DD is dead. Consistently do 5-8k dmg on cruisers and BB if you hit that juicy broadside. Lexy HVARS are also solid on all targets. Same reasons and principles as Big E’s rockets.

Big E’s HVAR’s are excellent against all targets. Not even up for debate.

Some of those mistakes are basic. And not down to CV being in game the way it is, but are able to now be punished far easier. The DD the smoked and then left his smoke... why? He had back up coming. I would not have been able to float about his smoke if he stayed in it... instead he decided to leave for reasons I cannot fathom. That’s poor DD play which ever way you look at it and I was able to punish it with easy by getting hits in and keeping him easily spotted so others in my team could take them out the game. The other DD who yolo’d the middle cap. Fine to do so if you are confident in your 1 on 1 ability. I would have. But with a CV getting involved? No, that’s a 2-1 with no advantaged for you. Leave, reposition and head for allies. 1 cap down isn’t the end of the world. Being 2 DD’s down needlessly by the halfway game point is bloody tough for any team to recover. Again I’m not saying CV are fine the way they are, because they are not. But so many threads are started about how players can’t cope with CV’s and it’s no wonder if that’s the average play style of fellow DD players. If you make yourself an easy target don’t be surprised when CV’s go for you or make it so the other ships can.

Thank you for getting it. DD role has been diminished. I have always said that. It seems that people also just can’t grasp my point that while CV’s have hammered the DD’s role in the meta, if you play the DD badly in the first place you can’t just pinball the blame on the other classes.

A few games?? It's nearly all of them. And they are mistakes. Watch the replay. I linked it for a reason. And there will be CV mistakes, I made one in this game, wasted time chasing a shadow that wasn't there. Seems the point is to complex for you and went mile high over you. I can comment reliably on good DD play because I'm a very good DD player. If that's not good enough for you clearly nothing will be. Go ahead, look away from glaring errors and cry it's always someone else fault. That's your choice.

And I wish you good luck with that. I suppose I have CW for CV free DD play. I will make WG listen by messing the meta so much they HAVE to look into it. Though they have also stated changes are incoming to CV's and their power levels.

While on one hand I can do this in a CV, in the opening minutes, whilst it's trying to hug an AA cruiser for it's life. Yes, I think it's broken also, I'm a DD main myself, and I like to think a very good one. You also over extended way to far in a DD with none existent AA. You practically begged to be first priority. If I was the CV I would look at you and go "Food, easy food" and it would be in a large part your fault for putting yourself in that position. CV's are not going anywhere. I've said this across multiple threads multiple times. Whine whine whine will not get you anywhere fast. Learn the new meta. If every DD player actually did that and still the CV's massively pounded the ever loving out of them, then you give WG no chance to defend that position that it's working ok. In a DD you now have NO room for error in a CV game. It now requires full on attention and skill. Unlike a CV where you can eat mashed potato whilst dropping a DD for 7k with DB's. So, either learn and get to a level where you have the skill to at least survive, or try a new line. I can't make WG do anything. You can't make WG do anything. If you can't accept that, no matter how many forum threads get started, it won't be to any effect.
