Fair enough your explanation, but still...... The toxicity/salt is pretty high, even to my opinion yours as you are defending yourselves, like some other people. It is getting too personal, despite the good intentions of EVERYONE. To my opinion we are getting into the same dark environment as in World of Tanks (no wonder that general chat was closed for that matter), but we all want to play a fair game with CV's and Subs if they are BALANCED. At the moment they are not and people like me get angry and frustated as it depends on skills, map awareness and tactics. And that is with these 2 classes currently NOT the case. I do not mind when a company is making money on me, but they are not listening to the input of their playerbase. It is all about spreadsheets, but you know what: spreadsheets can be manipulated....... Sorry to bother you again on this topic, but I am loosing faith of the good intentions of WeeGee, like many more people in WoWs if you look at their criticism on several issues.

@Excavatus Could you please close this forum topic as the toxicity/salt towards (certain) people is getting bigger and bigger. The way I see it is that WG does know about our complaints and probably will do nothing about it. The people in favour of CV (including myself, but adjustments needed as mentioned in a previous post) and people hating CV's in every way will NEVER come to an agreement, but only disagreement for that matter. Why bother eachother on this forum, despite your intentions in the beginning to start a new topic on this subject. It is only a game, but due to the comments of some people it looks like a personal vendetta or WW III will start soon............... So close this topic to keep the forum polite and informative for that matter. In the current state it is NOT.

Although as a former CV player with IJN/US CV's tier 6-9 laying in my harbor and playing these vessels on a daily basis, I sold them when 8.0 was released. Reason for that are 3-fold: a) unlimited planes during the game since 8.0 (yes, I know about the timer to replenish your planes, but in general you could say that there is an endless number of planes available). In the RTS mode you had ONE starting number of planes and that was it; if all shot down, your game was over. So in the good 'old' days it was all about tactics related to safeguard your planes, whereas nowadays it is plane wave after plane wave to be released to their foes. Bear in mind that in the old days we had multiple squadrons in the air the same time (fighters, tb's and bombers), which had to be controlled by the player versus only 1 active squadron nowadays (only releasing "bot"fighters on a designated sector). b) spotting mechanics; the old spottings mechanics have not changed after 8.0 as air time of a squadron is unlimited (unless recalled or shot down). This means that you could and still can spot your foes every minute as long as your planes did/do not attack or get/got shot down (in reality a plane can fly a certain distance before he has to turn back to base. which is not the case in WoWs). The practice is still that DD's are the first to suffer from this issue. Combined with the lightning speed of the current planes you know as an enemy that you are unable to reach your position to start your gameplay. We all know the (general) starting positions of our enemies as they are opposite to ours, so in the first minute you will see the squadron heading to the obvious heading of a DD, followed by a figther drop to secure a 60 second spotting zone on the DD. c) the complaint in the RTS mode was the Alpha strike of CV's as they could do major damage if handled by a skilled/veteran player, mainly by torpedo's on CA's and BB's. Since the release of 8.0 DD's face rocket planes which will cripple them as never before. In my opinion the Alpha damage has changed from torpedoes to rockets for that matter. Overall conclusion: When you consider the fact that your gameplay is over when your ship has been destroyed (by shell, bomb or torpedo) or has received major damage, meaning that you have to play more safely in the back and therefor your contribution to the rest of the game has been greatly reduced, a CV can still play without reserve as he will have planes to his disposal till games end of till he has been destroyed (the latter will happen mostly in end game). The risk factor for a CV player is at a minimum compared to a DD/CL/CA/BB player for that matter and not fair as such. To my opinion the CV could be accepted if WeeGee makes changes based on the 3 issues I mentioned above.

    Matchmaking: The Basics Making Teams

That is your opinion, not mine. But I leave this topic as it is: you have pro's and cons. As written earlier, good luck on the rough seas and have fun!

    Matchmaking: The Basics Making Teams

I am looking at the color schemes belonging to the players name as they tell me more than the ranking system of Ranked Sprint. Also you see sometimes clan icons to that player, stating that they belong to the top 100 (?). They know what they are doing.....

Sorry, i did read the overview not well enough thinking it was a win for you. The game changer was the CV in the red team, which is also one of the major issues WoWs is encountering. It looks like you had a yoloing Kitakaze in your team, dying pretty early (CV maybe?) and 2nd last one (Shima) did not gained much XP also, despite his ship kill. The average XP on the winning team learns me that they played better focus fire on your team. A pitty for you as you were number 1 in XP with only 1 kill, but I guess more than enough damage done.

Grz with your victory, but to me it seems you had better ranked players on your side than the opposite team.

    Matchmaking: The Basics Making Teams

I understand what you're saying, but I am sure that the majority of the players want an entertaining game, whether it takes close to 20 minutes for a loss or win. Nowadays when I encounter an opposite team with at least 2 higher ranked players (especially in a division) it will be a Ioss, despite my team efforts to change the balance in our favour. I am not saying that that this game is going towards to World of Tanks (where 15/1, 15/0 within 10minutes is normal nowadays), but enjoyment should be eminent. Random is possible by another metric (as you mentioned) and will be the gamesaver to my opinion. There are more issues to be addressed by WG, but the current MM should be of the highest priority to be solved. Have fun and good luck on the rough seas!

Next time don't be toxic like "tinfoil hat" in your reply. The person just gave his short view on the matter. It is not the first time you offend people reacting on topics, so follow the forum rules accordingly! This request of you makes sense, but the matchmaking on ship tier still fails: it should be on WR/PR instead of the player. The differences in newbie skills are great; some don't have a clue what they are doing, but there are also newbies who really now what they are doing and have better PR/WR for that matter (even higher than people with more than the mentioned number of games played i.e. 120/300).

    Update 0.9.0. British Cruisers

Dear mate, You are once again correct, for which I salute you. I have to read more carefully next time what WG is posting in her news letters/patch notes.....

    Update 0.9.0. British Cruisers

read my first post about it. It is under combat missions 0.9 British Cruisers news in the game. Unless WG combines the current combat missions with tokens with coming months 3/9/20 combat missions, which is confusing.
  15. VenividiviciNL

    Update 0.9.0. British Cruisers

That is correct, as I finished them already. However, the intention of my question was/is when these 3/9/20 combat missions starts and ends if you consider an end date (?) of 11 February as shown in the news letter. If the starting date is 1 February you have 11 days to finish the 20 combat missions, whereas normally you have a full month. What happens after this date (11 February) with the current daily tokens. Up till now we have encountered a stage 1 with tokens, followed by a stage 2 with other tokens. The armory shows British Cruisers part 1 for that matter. The information provided is scarse and not logical placed.
