    [Basics] Spotting mechanics

    I have a question, I recently got my Gnevny (now an Ognevoi) and tried firing my guns from my detectability range + 4 km but still got spotted by the enemy I was shooting (which was also the closest enemy, and no I'm sure there wasn't a hidden DD closer since the only unspotted DD was on the other side of the map 5 sec ago). Did they change the added detectability range on firing? since I'm getting spotted when math tells me I shouldn't be
