I agree! I wasted so many doubloons last year on BF and Christmas containers in hope of getting some nice (rare) ships... but it didn't materialize. I will not make the same mistake twice and since there is no 100% coupon available I will spend far less this year.

You do realize that's not an employee's fault that's happening with the coupons, right? Nor is it anything that would need fixing. They are just testing to see how many of us will buy the same amount of doubloons (or maybe even more), for BF and Christmas, if we don't get the 100% coupon. Based on the outcome they will know if it's affordable for them to just simply scrap the birthday gifts or not. If they will make more money this end year because of scraping the birthday coupon they will make it permanent. If people will buy less doubloons because of that they will magically "fix" it.

What he intended to do with his ticket was to see if they really have that issue or it is something else at play here. And yes, there is something else at play here since WG's reply: .... proved that they have the database. Nice played Redfoxrommy!

For me the equation is very simple. With birthday coupon I would have gone for the the 50k doubloons (and like last year I would have spent them all on BF and Christmas), but without coupon I will only buy as much doubloons as I need for a couple of BF ships (about half of what I would have spent otherwise), and no other Christmas purchases. So ultimately WG will get less of my money this year (and other player's money as well. I am sure of it.) Well done WG!
