    ARP Nachi. WG please!

Need six more and time is running out. This is going to be a nailbiter.. No idea why the requirements are so high, with so few Soviet ships meeting the criteria in the game.. I haven't even dared to touch my Kutuzov in a while.. But what if we all break out our best tier VIII-X Russian ship on the last days of 2016?

Just play the ships you like the most and if all goes well, that 100 k XP will be yours in no time. That is more or less how I did it, got mine in a jiffy and am very happy with her. Dat radar..

Where are the Christmas convoy missions?

This is going waay off-topic and is starting to get personal. Did you read my explanation? http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/69278-where-are-the-christmas-convoy-missions/page__st__1460__pid__1527224#entry1527224 And my previous post? http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/69278-where-are-the-christmas-convoy-missions/page__st__1320__p__1525193#entry1525193

Where are the Christmas convoy missions?

I don't think this has anything to do with regional income differences or anything, certainly not to me. For me, mostly, it has to do with communication. They had an update ready to go, for all servers, EU included. All servers got it, except EU, which had content, translated and all, taken out. The update was gutted, at the last minute, no doubt at considerable expense in effort, time and money. Why? They claim it was 'good for us' that there would be no time to complete the convoy missions anyway. But it was good enough for the other servers? And there was no other solution? To me, it is nonsense, there is no justification for cutting content, no one likes less stuff. The argument that the game is free no longer flies either, as the end result is that EU has to pay for stuff that is free for the other servers. Now if this was done because the EU server economy is threatening their bottom line, by all means, fine. But then they could have come out and said so. Better yet, they should have found a better way of getting our credits, by giving us value for money. But they did not, fed us a line that quite simply would not fly, AND this is just the latest in a series of snafus. That is the problem.

Where are the Christmas convoy missions?

You could also say that many of us play these games to get a little distraction from real life problems and events, I certainly do. Last thing I want is for that relaxation to be overshadowed by being treated badly by a company I already gave a lot of my money to. Plus, I don't want to risk not taking the opportunity to speak up and encourage even worse treatment in the future, lose the one game that I had hoped to be playing for years to come.

    Ship wishlist 2017

Copy pasta from a previous topic: -HMS King George V class BBs of WW2, the work horses of the RN, present at all major surface actions in the Atlantic, responsible for the sinking of both Bismarck and Scharnhorst. They even played a minor role in the Pacific. To me, they are probably the first ships I think of when discussing World War 2 at sea. They also have a unique look with their square turrets, especially the quadruple ones. I would love to use those ten 14 inch guns against a Tirpitz. -HMS Hood, beautiful, well armed, well armored for her time, but unlucky. The Bismarck engagement could have turned out very different if Norfolk and Suffolk had not lost contact and Holland had been able to position his ships as intended. -HMS Vanguard, beautiful, but never fired her guns in anger, except maybe during the Suez affair. -HMS Dreadnought, the ship that started it all. -HMS Lion, the ship that never was, a modern 16 inch gunned BB that could have faced Bismarck or her bigger brothers on an equal footing. -KM Scharnhorst & Gneisenau, fast and well armed. How about a Gneisenau with 15 inch guns? [EDIT: by now in game, 15 inch guns and all, yay! -KM Deutschland (Lützow) and her sisters, even as armored cruisers they would be interesting ships to play with. Heavy firepower and armor good enough to deal with cruiser shells. Are they really pocket battleships? [EDIT: by now in game, but the way they did it, wow.. See the other topics...] -KM Bismarck, 'nuff said. [EDIT: by now in game, yay!] -KM Prinz Eugen, same. [EDIT: by now in game, yay!] -SMS Baden & Bayern, the 15 inch gunned German BBs of WW1 that never saw any real action, how would they fare against HMS Warspite? -RM Vittorio Veneto and her sisters, including the Roma which was lost to an anti-ship missile. Italian design. Like a Ferrari with 15 inch guns. -MN Richelieu & Jean Bart, with all their main guns up front -MN Dunkerque, same, would love to see how they do chasing down a Scharnhorst class battlecruiser [EDIT: by now in game, never regretted getting her, my current desktop background] -SMS Tegethoff and her sisters, with their massive firepower of twelve 12 inch guns in triple turrets. -Minas Geraes class battleships of Brazil. Interesting ships that never faced any enemy warships except at home. -SMS Goeben, later Yavuz, the only 'Turkish' battlecruiser. -Sovetsky Soyuz and her sisters, the ships never completed because the war intervened, some of them being destroyed while still under construction. While I wouldn't want it to somehow be the best ship at its tier, I would like to get a feel for what they would have been like. -HMS Ark Royal, veteran of the Bismarck chase and victim of poor design. -HMS Illustrious, let's see what an armored flight deck can do to keep you safe. -RN cruisers, especially HMS Belfast [EDIT: by now in game, yay!] -RN destroyers -German destroyers [EDIT: by now in game, also yay, just not in the order that I would have preferred them in, obviously] -French cruisers and destroyers -Anything I missed. BTW, someone asked for USS Enterprise, but she was confirmed as incoming as a premium at some point. This all said, WG does need to treat us better for me to buy/grind all of these, or any, really..

Where are the Christmas convoy missions?

Like I said before, it is not about free stuff. It is about a blatant money grab, that they got caught doing red handed. And it is not about a few camouflages, it is also about being able to unlock ships from the tech trees, captain training bonuses, a whole new convoy mission event, all in all resulting in stuff that is worth at least 17 million credits! All that stuff is available for all other servers and was available for us to, but they took the time and effort to cut it all out and are now trying to sell some of it, other stuff we won't even be able to get. Moreover, it is not the first time something like this has happened. Finally, people are fed up with the lack of communication between us and WG, see NA and Asia get treated very differently from us, having easier access, not to mention the Russian server, which has an obvious home advantage and no language barrier. Most of all, we want to get treated equally. Not better, just the same as all the rest. Read my previous posts, especially this one, or watch any of the videos on this topic from the community contributors.

Where are the Christmas convoy missions?

Agreed, Graf Spee would be interesting with the Convoy missions. Grind those and meanwhile try to recoup your investment by unlocking Graf Spee, they make a sale. Win-win. So deleting the convoy missions, was a bad mistake. I can't believe how much attention this issue is getting though, we are at over 70 pages and almost 100 k views in about a week time, so it is obvious this topic is getting attention. Probably a lot of the same people keeping track of what is happening, but still, it is clear we are invested in this. I am also pleased to see most of the responses are reasonable and quite polite, considering none of us are happy with this. Some of you are still complaining about Ph3lan 'only' being talking on behalf of WG, not being able to make decisions, say you want to talk to a manager.. Believe me, that never works, it is not helpful. I get how you feel, but in this line of work, it is not necessary. You might not even be able to, if they don't speak English. Ph3lan & co have no doubt painted a not-so-pretty picture of this snafu and are just as eagerly awaiting a response as we are, so there isn't any real need for the higher-ups to (digitally) present themselves here, they just need to understand the situation. This is the holiday season though, so it may take some time before we hear something definite, until then, we need to be as patient as we can be. I hope they come up with something, but it may not be so easy to put up the original version of this patch, it might break something, especially with missions, now unavailable, suddenly being introduced and needing to be tracked, so they may need to do some work, maybe test stuff, and that'll take time too. Of course, this is the result of their earlier decision, so some of you may think: their problem, then they just need to fix it, but I am just pointing out that it might not be an easy fix. Most of all, I want us to be heard, I want steps to be taken a snafu of this magnitude can't happen again, communication between us and WG being streamlined. Second, I would also welcome the differences between the various servers being reduced. Why should different servers have different offers? They are not really competing with each other and it is unfair when the same event is done differently, like they tried to do now. Moreover, it is very easy to track, very transparent, when they pull something like this. But whatever happens, to me, it is the end result that counts. If they come up short, with just another apology and promise of doing better, that won't fly, not again, we need something substantial. BTW, thanks to everyone who upvoted my posts or commented favourably on them, I'm just speaking my mind, while trying to remain reasonable. It is good to see there are so many of us who are enthusiastic about this game and just want things to be better in the future.

Where are the Christmas convoy missions?

Why ask for something we already have? I just wonder why it is taking so long for the last round of questions to be answered, but my guess would be they are waiting for someone to come back from a holiday or finish a deadline. I am assuming the Q&A will stay and otherwise we can always join the one on Reddit. I want a dedicated person for WoWs EU, preferably someone who can contact Devs or anyone in charge directly. So someone who speaks at least both English and Russian maybe? But at least someone who doesn't have to divide time between, WoWs, WoT, Blitz and whatever else there is, who can focus on us, whose main job it is to provide us with answers and solutions to our problems, questions and complaints promptly. Like I said, the people here are doing their job, but I spend a lot of time on this forum and I don't have time to read even half of everything, even following this thread regularly is almost a fulltime job. Now I don't spend all my waking hours on this, but neither do they, they have other games to watch. They are not alone, there are several of them, but still. And then there is the whole thing of communicating with their superiors, other departments, the devs, etcetera, it all takes time. Aren't we worth a full-time rep? I think we are. If that person also has the power to say: this will never fly, the community would eat us alive, all the better. EDIT: 70 pages, over 600 k views.. Ho. Ly. Crap.

Where are the Christmas convoy missions?

Don't understand what you mean by muddling the waters, the point is, we don't know who made this decision. All I ask is to be fair to the community representatives here on the forum. They are a go between, nothing more. They gather feedback, report it to the higher-ups, those make the decisions. If you think they have any real decision making powers, you are without a doubt mistaken. That is also what they are saying: they would love to be able to say something that would satisfy us, but they can't, no such decision has been made, they don't have the authority, and no one would gain if they pretended to us otherwise, so all the can do is tell the truth, that they escalated this matter and are waiting for a response. Taking our frustration out on them is unwise and undeserved. If you go to the supermarket and when checking out, find out that you have to pay a different price from what you thought it was, do you take it out on the person working the cash register? No, you point out the problem, they get their manager/supervisor, their superior decides what to do. Word of advice, if you ever have to contact a company to fix a problem, be polite to the CSR and they will do their job, which is helping you as best as they can. If they are unable to provide satisfactory service, then that probably is company policy, asking to speak to a manager probably won't help, if that is even a possibility. Nothing is more annoying than a customer who thinks they can tell you how to do your job, when you've been doing that job for years and know perfectly well what can be done and what is blatantly impossible. Bottom line: don't be unreasonable. I've been on the receiving end of that often enough, in years of providing that kind of service, offering people an option or two, with them asking for one that was technically unfeasible and against the rules and regulations involved. It feels like asking a kid if it wants chocolate or vanilla ice cream and it wanting strawberry. So if Ph3lan, MrConway and others are unable to provide us with a definite answer on this matter, I believe them. It is a holiday weekend, there is a language barrier, it would mean a huge u-turn if they turned this around. But it would be the right thing to do. If they don't, clearly, someone high up thinks the math makes sense, that they will lose less revenue if the don't than if they do. But just for me personally, they'd be wrong, they'd be cheating themselves out of hundreds of euros easily. I'm not sure I'd switch to NA, but it'd help me save up money for things I need far more, it would help me to keep my money in my pocket. I'd be inclined to only buy a few more ships and cut my losses that way. I'd probably still keep playing, but that'd be about it, with all the consequences for the game's viability down the line.

    Akizuki am i missing something?

I am by no means an unicum, but.. -Akizuki is a gun DD, she has few torps and they aren't great, so use those as an accessory, not as a main weapon. -Support other DDs by hunting down enemy DDs and taking down enemy CAs. -Be cautious. Your range isn't great, so if you attack, you will be much closer to the enemy than you want to be. If there is another enemy nearby, that you were unaware of, things might get hairy quickly. Plan accordingly. -Work together with your team. In that game I described, I had a Cleveland to back me up. He drew fire, took down one cruiser basically on his own, bought me time. -I've heard her AP is quite good, against enemy cruisers, but haven't tried that yet, but you might profit from using AP against the right targets. So far, HE did well enough for me. My third target was a Tashkent, which I set on fire twice in a row. He sank me, then burned to a crisp, leaving B to our team, winning us the match.
  13. TheCinC

    Akizuki am i missing something?

In my first match with her, stock, I was able to sink three ships and cap a base, helping to win the game, if not deciding it altogether. Her rate of fire is awesome, her range somewhat less so.

    Special offers popping up?

Never, if you have premium time. Or at least, that is how it works for me.. And I have premium time for just under a year..
  15. TheCinC

    Positivity and teamwork!

Had a match yesterday where we went A - C and did not lose.. Our DDs really did a number on the enemy, ran circles around them. Also had a cruiser support me, in my first match with Akizuki. Between the two of us, we sank five ships, capped B and I am convinced we decided the match, for reasons that are less positive, so I'll stop there.. Good topic txtspeak. BTW, hit me up if you want to play together again.
  16. TheCinC

Is it time to remove capping from the game?

By all means, let's not even consider alternatives.. Come on, I am sure we can come up with something better than just capping. Even bastion mode would be better if we could just shoot forts or land troops or something, instead of having to cap them. All we have is game modes where we have to cap things. It makes no sense, it is repetitive and illogical.

Where are the Christmas convoy missions?

If no one ever took it out on you, you got lucky. I've worked for a for-profit company and am currently working for a non-profit organization. I often had to disappoint callers, due to internal rules, or due to something just being plain impossible. People who do not get their desired result, can be totally unreasonable. I know from experience that sometimes you have the tools and leeway to deal with a problem and sometimes you don't. This, clearly, is one case where it goes way above their pay grade. There is no way in hell that they have the kind of authority to make a decision in this. Accusing them of not caring and just filing a report, is short sighted. They can't do much more than report to their superiors, have to wait for them to make a decision. They can't go along with our frustration too much, they need to be seen to support their company and their decision makers, they can't be disloyal. I am sure they are as frustrated as we are, their hands are tied, while they are waiting for a decision on this matter, which may take hours, days, weeks, or never come at all. But as long as they are sympathetic to us, they will make a case on our behalf. That is what we need, the most we can hope for them to do.
  18. TheCinC

Where are the Christmas convoy missions?

When you speak on behalf of a company, you don't say: my superiors, in their infinite wisdom, decided to screw you over. When you speak on behalf of a company, you don't say: they did this or that, you say we, us, company name here. Ph3lan and co are community representatives, who interact with is and act as a go between, between us and their superiors. When something like this happens, they escalate, then hope for the best. Also, I would not be surprised if this particular snafu was not WG EU, but WG itself, acting on internal numbers showing some, many or most EU players having a disproportionately large number of credits in the bank, or something like that. Also, attacking them is counter-productive, as I've illustrated above. Blaming this on them is like blaming the shop clerk for the shop not carrying item x, y or z.
  19. TheCinC

Is it time to remove capping from the game?

Yes, and I agree that is exactly what should be done, or at least that a completely different game mode should be added, and for the following reasons: 1) Capping makes absolutely zero sense Did the RN win the Battle of the Atlantic by sailing to the middle of it and then staying there for a few minutes? Did the USN win the Battle of the Pacific by doing the same in the Pacific? Of course not. Moreover, most people want to shoot other ships, often without taking too much risk themselves, which results in DDs sacrificing themselves, without enough backup, resulting in games being lost even when the team has a clear advantage in numbers and would in real life have been considered to have won the battle. 2) It is detrimental to immersion Because it makes no sense, it just reinforces the feeling that I am playing a game. If often wonder what the heck I am doing, or what my teammates are doing. 3) It often leads teams to split up, with bad effects Far too often, I see my team try and take A and C, without anything in between. In the earlier incarnation of epicentre, often I was one of a few who were even in the cap zone, the moment I died, the game was lost as no one was even nearby. Nothing is more frustrating than doing your best to cap objectives, only for them to be recapped effortlessly by the enemy the moment you leave/die, with your team not even trying to resist, or only a few of them, likewise dying without support. Yesterday, I had a game that I feel that I won, as I capped B, sank three ships, with assistance from a friendly cruiser who came along and sank another 2 ships. Meanwhile, most of the rest of my team was off having a gunfight at the OK cap C, which would have been a waste of time if we had not managed to cap and hold B against opposition. Trying to get random people to work together, is like herding cats. People often respond, when someone complains of a lack of support, that it is to be expected, this is an online game after all. But WG is trying to force us to do something, that to many people is counter-intuitive, which results in bad games for everyone. 4) There are so many more ways of creating objectives, just depending on capping is just lazy Yes, this is an arcade game and it should be accessible to everyone. That does not preclude having a game mode or game modes that make sense from a naval/historical perspective. I am not just looking forward to the PvE missions that are said to be in development and I am more than a bit miffed on missing out on the convoy missions as those sound a whole lot more logical to me, I would want to play, at least occasionally, the weaker side in a historical campaign. Give me HMS Hood, with HMS Prince of Wales, HMS Norfolk and HMS Suffolk as support, and I'll be more than happy to take on Bismarck and Prinz Eugen. In fact, I've done so several times in another game, that looks far less nice as WoWs and is turn based. I enjoyed that tremendously, beating the odds. I have already posted several times with my suggestions for game modes that would make historical sense, are similar to common naval engagements. I am sure something can be found that would be both accessible and doable within the confines of the current game engine. One simple solution would be to add a deathmatch mode, preferably Axis versus Allies, now that we have enough lines to fill out teams on both sides. I love taking on German ships in my RN cruisers, for instance, especially when I manage to sink a Scharnhorst. I would love to play a game mode like that! Moreover, this is what people instinctively want to do anyway.

    Remove. Radar.

As someone who plays BBs, CAs and DDs, I have no problem with radar. I do have a bit of problem with invisifire, as it makes no sense, especially not at close range. But as long as there are remedies, such as radar, hydro, or just torping into a smokescreen, it is acceptable. I love my Missouri, for instance, already surprised a few DDs with my radar. As a DD player, you just need to take it into account and play accordingly. Always on radar wouldn't work, having no smokescreens wouldn't work either. Another edit: agree with the see-through-islands thing, I think that should not work. Not for proximity detection, not for hydro and not for radar. It allows an enemy to stay safe from you on the other side of an island, while spotting you for all his teammates, without you having any chance to remedy the situation.
  21. TheCinC

Where are the Christmas convoy missions?

They are responding honestly. They are a go between, not the decision makers. The decision makers caused this, but until they decide to act to remedy the situation, Ph3lan and MrConway and their colleagues won't have much to offer. All they can do, is make the problem known to the people who can make decisions. They could lie and tell us something that isn't true, or be honest and give us an answer, that you obviously find unsatisfactory. But that is how it works in customer service. You don't make stuff up, you try to help as best as possible, be honest, escalate if necessary, try to get permission to do something or to get management to do something, and hope for the customer to be patient until a solution is found. Heck, in my case, in situations like this, I've been patient with the customer, but very clear to my superiors that there was a problem and that it needed to be addressed. In this stage, we have to trust that this is exactly what the Ph3lan and his colleagues are doing, and I do. I also trust that they want this to be dealt with and that they will insist on something being done, because it is the right thing to do and would make their jobs a whole lot easier. Insulting them and complaining about them, when they don't have the authority to act on their own, or wanting them to disown their company or their bosses, that is not constructive and, frankly, naive. They can't just make up a statement, I am already pleasantly surprised by their tone. They obviously understand how big a deal this is to many of us. The only response I am dissatisfied with, is the one by Tuccy, but I am willing to bet, he is not to blame for that. In this line of work, you don't come up with a response like that on your own. So, to put it another way, at the very least, I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Without their efforts on our behalf, we will get nothing, zero, management won't even know about this, quite probably don't visit these forums. Unless Ph3lan, MrConway, and others, make it clear, this is yet another unnecessary snafu, that this can't go on like this, nothing will improve. Until they get a better line, we have to keep making our point, the best way we can and stay engaged with them. Insulting them and blaming them for things they don't control, won't help us in any way and I for one will not be a part of that. I've been on the receiving end of such shenanigans, wanting nothing more than to help out the customer, but them insulting me never helped their position. It doesn't get you any sympathy, it doesn't make the customer service representative lobby more enthusiastically on your behalf, it doesn't look good when they talk to their superiors about what your complaint is. Take it from me, that approach is counter productive.
  22. TheCinC

Where are the Christmas convoy missions?

Ph3lan, I want to thank you and MrConway for your honest responses to this matter. I'm trying to stay civil, and as someone who works more or less the same kind of job, I understand your role in this and that you guys are not the ones making the decisions, so the blame is not on you. In fact, we depend on you to take notice and put things through to the people who actually decide on policy like this. Without you, we have no way to get them to notice us at all. In other words: we need you. So I hope my fellow forumites will, like me, try to remain civil and constructive, even if it is difficult at times. I have to say however, that I was displeased with the response by Tuccy, although I recognize that he probably was just saying what his superiors had told him to say, so I am not saying I blame him personally, just that this particular response was not proper, IMHO. There is, IMHO, no case to be made that we are somehow better off by getting less than other servers. If this was because of a perceived surplus of credits in the accounts of EU players, then it would have been better to just come out and say so. I understand that WG needs to make a profit somehow and I appreciate honesty. I would still not have been happy about it, but I might've understood. The line Tuccy gave just doesn't fly with me and as an adult who has invested probably way too much money in this game already, it made me feel like I was treated like a child, it so obvious to see there is no advantage to us here. Better a small chance of finishing a campaign, than none at all. And if the time to complete the campaign is seen as too short, then why not change the rules a bit, to allow for more time? It makes absolutely zero sense. Moreover, to me at least, convoy escort/convoy raiding sounds exactly like the kind of thing that I feel this game really needs: a more realistic game mode, which is sorely lacking in this game. That said, thank you and your colleagues for, again, bringing such a matter to the attention to your superiors. I do hope you made it clear that: a) this treatment is, in the opinion of many of us, inexplicable, indefensible and uncalled for, an insult to WG's (paying) customers. b) that we are vocal about it, not because we just want free stuff, but because we love this game and want to continue to enjoy it, but this does not help in any way. c) that this is the latest in a string of such unnecessary PR disasters and each time, we end up getting an apology, if that, but often nothing more. One time is a mistake, several times, it is a pattern, and apologies are not going to cut it. d) each time something like this happens, we hope WG (EU) learns its lesson and will mend its ways, improve its communication with its player base, but so far, we have seen little of that. e) many of us feel, or are starting to feel, as if we are cash cows to WG (EU) and that our voices don't matter, that they think we will just keep spending money on this game, despite being treated in such a way. Several of us, me included, have already decided to scale back spending on this game, as we feel ignored/not taken seriously and are not sure we will feel the same about this game in the long run, so why invest even more money into it? And what other way to make WG really take notice, if just being vocal about issues like this doesn't seem to help at all? Actions speak louder than words. f) if this was not in any way intentional, then someone, or some people, REALLY have no clue on how to deal with their customers, don't understand what we want, what we like. Don't try to think FOR us, think WITH us! Many of us are more than willing to help out, give feedback, help you improve this game. Make a real effort to do better next time, don't come up short yet again, or you will lose even more goodwill. g) please make it clear that we would very much appreciate a dedicated WoWs representative, as a sign of respect, to improve interaction between us and WG (EU) and to make up for past mistakes. Surely this can be done, if need be, on a temporary basis, by shuffling assignments around. What difference does it make to have several people rotating, or one person dedicated to one game, if need be supported by a rotating crew? h) most of all: listen to us! We love this game, we want to keep playing this game! There is ALWAYS room for improvement, but ignoring a problem, won't make it go away. Don't think this is a non-issue, because then you are WRONG. Good luck and thank you for your efforts on our behalf, if your superiors finally pay attention, that'll be better for all of us in the long run. I hope WG (EU) finally stops shooting itself in the foot, it will only hurt more and more in the long run.

Removal of invisifire and premium ships

If it happened like that, then yes, that is unwise. They wanted to give the USS Alabama exclusively to supertesters, just to show they appreciated their unpaid and NDA covered work. Insulting them almost simultaneously is not a good way to do it. But I've only heard them doing that to community contributors, which is almost equally bad, but at least they got an apology. I am reminded however of the PTS. People spend a lot of time and effort on the PTS, for little rewards, but ships are never tested on the PTS, that is only up to the supertesters. No offense to the supertesters, but there are a lot more regular players, who spend time on the PTS, so it certainly could not hurt to allow the PTS to do the most interesting stuff as well. Moreover, we almost never have access to premiums, even when the update specifically changes existing premiums. Finally, more often than not, suggestions that are upvoted multiple times, are not implemented. Case in point: the need for an explanation of the Bastion game mode. It was even part of the survey, but there is none, not even a hint that shooting uncapped forts is not helpful. You also hardly ever get acknowledgement that a suggestion, bug report or whatever issue is even read, never mind that it will be acted upon. Yet we need to be assured that participating in the PTS is important to WG. Yet another case where proper communication would do so much good. But the community reps probably don't even have the time to respond, even if they make an effort to read all the feedback and put it through to the devs.

More like 100,000 views over several topics, one is over 60 pages long. They know they screwed up, just as they knew it with the 'secret' surprise. Both times, they didn't want to give away free stuff. Both times, they fudged and tried to explain it away, although it was clear that they were in the wrong. Each time something like this happens, I make the point that we want more interaction, preferably a dedicated WoWs representative. Communication is key, making your customers feel appreciated, acting quickly and diligently upon receiving feedback is a must. Especially for a freemium game, you need the goodwill of people, like me, who want to support the game to keep it viable. But despite the hard work from community reps, their customer service and supertesters alike, I never get the feeling WG, or at least WG EU, appreciates me as a customer and I never see an improvement. It is like they are trying to get rid of customers or something, this is a foolish way to behave. Not only do I feel insulted and taken for granted, but it also makes it less likely I'll continue to play the game actively. Lately I've been playing more and more other games. So why invest in this game, if I don't know for sure how long I'll stay?
