Twitch drops have always worked fine for me, until recently. While having Twitch running and wachting WoWs-related channels, I'm no longer making progress to the Twitch drops. Bars remain stuck at 0%. I checked my account management and my Twitch profile is still linked to my WG account. Anyone familiar with these kinds of problems? Any idea how to fix it and get it working again?
-
Ok, I think I have figured it out. Volume on the Twitch stream itself cannot be set off, but anything as low as 1% works. You can turn off the volume of your browser via the Windows settings. Stream can be running in the background.
-
Ah that could be it. I used to run Twitch streams in the background with the volume turned off. Now I just 'watched' one of these annoying Twitch streams on a low volume and that seems to have given me 1% progress. I'm now trying to figure out if it's the volume turned on that did the trick, or my browser being the active window. Any info on how to 'cheat' the system would be welcome.

Time to go low. I rarely play her because of her tier, but she's quite a fun boat to play at the tier 2 co-op games. Emden.
-
Yeah, it looks very polished. Still, IMO one of the better looking camos in the game, and can be applied to any tier X ship. Still considering buying an extra one to see how it looks on a carrier. Should get some shiny planes too. :P

Kurfürst in Steel camo. Goliath in Victorian White camo. De 7 Provinciën in War Paint camo. All ships I frequently use in co-op. Might not be the best ships, but they're fun and can be pretty effective :)

Marceau in port Rotterdam

Glad to hear the T8 subs are more enjoyable than the T6 ones. At least that's something to look forward to. I'm still trying to find a good tactic to use subs effectively. Any advice you can give here? When staying safely at 2nd line, I find my torpedos being 'intercepted' by allies, or enemy ships are sunk before my torpedos hit. But trying to be at the front doesn't really work well either. Haven't really found a way that works. Not at tier 6 anyways.

SAP vs Forts in Operations - Can't damage the forts with lower caliber guns even at point blank.
Purnylla replied to IanH755's topic in PvE Corner
Just ignore the forts and let your teammates take care of them? I never experienced forts to be much of an issue. They're usually a popular target and don't survive for long. -
I have 4 superships in port. To give you an idea how much I've played them; they've all accumulated 0 XP. I bought them mostly because of the snowflake bonuses, which I unlock by playing other ships. Undoubtly some superships would perform well in co-op, but why would you use a supership? They're gonna cost you a lot of credits, and probably award less XP too (since you'd be shooting at lower tier targets). Might do more damage, but I doubt they'd do notably better than their tier 10 or 9 counterparts.

Langley and Ranger are too low tier, low tier CVs bring too few tools and have too much chance of being uptiered. I'm not familiar with Chkalov. Kaga should do reasonable well in co-op, although I guess landing hits requires some practice. I don't own Graf Zep but I hear its secondaries are awesome. Not familiar with Hornet. And I think Saipan has the reputation of being the worst T8 premium CV. Now, I don't usually do a lot of missions with CV, but this dockyard had a rocket-ribbons mission which was fairly easy to do. Plus CVs always help with any spotting-ribbons mission. Depends. Obviously Marceau is suited for a fast playstyle, more risky, so that could provide tricky. But Groningen... that's just finding a spot, stop the engine, start smoke, and keep spamming HE at random targets to burn them down. Hydro should warn you for incoming torpedos and help spot approaching DDs. Can't say playing Groningen requires reflexes. Not sure how Mecklenburg really adds much to your collection if you already have GK and Bourgogne, but that's OK. It's a ship that's also on my wishlist. But perhaps you'd be better off finding a DD or CV that fits your playstyle? Can't say I experienced much difference in co-op lately. Battleships always underperform and Marceaus lead the scoreboards, whether there's missions or not.

Not sure you can use the same calculations for armor penetrations for forts as you do for ships. I imagine forts are made of concrete, while ships are made of steel. -
CVs aren't ideal indeed, but some can perform reasonably well. Immelmann even performs pretty well in co-op, especially if you can let these secondary guns do some damage. Subs, I'm currently only at tier 6, so too early to judge, but seems to be doing worse than other ship classes so far. DDs, really no clue why you hate these so much. They're the most efficient ship type for co-op (you've been complaining about their efficiency the whole topic) and you have some of the most fun and awesome ships in the game. Marceau is by far my favourite boat in co-op, Groningen is a good second. The only reason I don't play Loyang much is because I've ships that are even better, but Loyang isn't a bad boat at all. I really can't imagine someone not liking these gunboats. Can't even imagine you're doing terrible. Sure, Marceau needs risky playstyle, so that one *might* be tricky, but Groningen has hydro and smoke, so I don't see how one can perform badly with a Groningen. Why? You can get a Kurfurst for coal. And you've been complaining about battleships being inefficient in co-op, why would you want to spend your precious steel on another one? You know Mecklenburg will just struggle to keep up with the pace as well. If you really have to get a battleship for steel, at least Bourgogne has a speed boost. Personally I went with Vallejo, which is quite a fun boat in co-op. You're at the last mission 'chain', isn't it? The one that requires a lot of baseXP? In that particular mission chain, you can get 3 tokens for missions that don't require any specifici ship type and are quite easy to do. The missions for baseXP are only required to get that last token you get for completing 6 missions in that chain. But that's just 1 token. You've already gotten the majority of your 4000 steel. It's the last 250 you're now struggling with, if I understand correctly?

You do have another choice. There's missions for 5 ship classes in the dockyard, you only need 2. You chose to do the BB one. You can choose another another ship class. And then you have the choice just to ignore the event and the reward. In the end its up to you. Steel can get you some nice ships, but are they really worth the frustration you're experiencing now? I mean, if you just play co-op, coal ships can be just as fun. After years of playing, I've finally bought my first steel ship, and while it's a decent ship, it's certainly not a game-changer. EDIT: by the way, these missions only give you 1 extra token, so effectively 250 steel (+10% clan bonus). Nothing more.

Which version of the Battle Pass do you use in Co-Op/
Purnylla replied to Chysagon's topic in PvE Corner
Previous battlepass lasted 6 weeks, which meant quite a nice amount of rewards if you had enough time to play. Current battlepass is only 4 weeks. And for the same price. So there's some disbalance here. Yep, and lets not forget you can always make a Premium pass purchase after you've reached the last level, and get all the rewards from prevous levels. No need to gamble at the start, unless you're after the season bonuses. -
Which version of the Battle Pass do you use in Co-Op/
Purnylla replied to Chysagon's topic in PvE Corner
I've had quite a bit of free time to play during the previous two patches. Started out with free, but bought the premium as soon as I reached max level. The combined rewards (the early levels, the end level, and the extra levels beyond the end) were a good deal IMO. I'm expecting to have considerable less free time to play during current patch. Not sure what I'll do. But perhaps, once I've managed to unlock all the levels, I'll buy premium again. -
Hmm... most of their unique talents won't trigger in co-op. Lütjens is probably the best, should be able to trigger his talent that decreases reload. Kuznetsov might be decent because of his Will for Victory talent. But besides those... I mean, I quite like Auboyneau on my Marceau, and even though his Elemental Fury triggers reasonably frequently, it doesn't really add much. Can't remember triggering his Surge Forward talent. Battle is probably done before you can accumulate the required 2 million potential damage. But the enhanced Survivability Expert skill is always useful on Marceau. And the blue shell tracers do look cool. Actually, that last bit might be the coolest feature of Auboyneau, if you like these kind of cosmetics. :P In general t,he boosted skills might be more useful, but you can find these on the cheaper 35k coal commanders as well. Really depends on what type of ships you like to play. Sometimes the extra bit of turret traverse or extra HP might be more useful than the special talents which rarely trigger.

Map Changes in 0.11.11 should have us all worried.

7 out of 9 bots going to flank A. I'm lucky enough because that's where I spawned, but the guys spawning at B and C seem to be a lot less lucky. -
T6 CVs are a tad boring, although they're a massive improvement over the T4 ones. At least at T6 they're starting to get their signature features, specific for the line. At T8 they do start becoming more fun, with more consumables and an improvement of their signature features. Although being uptiered against T10 can really suck. Co-op games are already quite fast paced and quite a few CV just can't really keep up with that pace. Hakuryu is a good CV. Not really any special, perhaps not the most ideal one for co-op, but if you can't land those torpedos and bombs well, they can do insane amount of damage.
-
Immelmann is quite good for the 4xW strategy. Especially if you invest a bit into its secondaries. As for subs, I yet have to find a good way to play them effectively in co-op. Getting to the front lines certainly puts you at risk of sinking early, but torpedoing from 2nd line isn't ideal either. Too often do targets sink before my torpedos hit their pinged target, or there's some ally crossing my torpedos path. So yeah, I suppose I'm part of the vast majority of sub players that have no idea how to use them. Give us some time to experiment and try to find strategies that work. :)

True, but DDs won't help you complete Cruiser missions :P
-
When the mission is to do damage I rather have some beefy battleships to set on fire with my cruisers. DDs don't have enough hitpoints to make these missions progress fast.
-
Ideally, all operations should be equally difficult. Banning things is bad. WG should be balancing it. All operations are fine ideas, they just need some tweaks to make sure they're doable.
-
I'm looking forward to it. Got some tier X ships in mind that I'd like to try in operations.
