Please note that you can only play Operations after reaching Level 14 in your Service Record.

People doing stupid things like that won't read your post, I fear. No matter how much you'd like to help some people, some people just don't want to be helped. -

Before we assume any new problems, was it any different before? I've seen my fair share of 'bad' players in Operations pre-update. TBH, most of those were people not co-operating and communicating, so everybody goes for the same secondary objective while ignoring the primary objective. Ramming happens, although not very often, there's always this guy trying to cross the main convoy. People dying fairly quickly would also be nothing new. I guess we can expect a few more problems in the few coming weeks while people still learn how to play the new operations effectively (I know I did when playing Public Test), but I expect people to get the hang of them fairly quickly and things getting back to the way it was before the update. -
Another "NON ACCUSATION" ; It's just a bit funny that......

I play all ship types and severa lines. I usually have a decent ship for any kind of mission. Although I quite enjoy CV, I rarely play the CV missions. Although last weeks ribbon mission was fairly easy to get on my secondary specced Richthofen :) I can recommend everyone to have a variety of ships in port. Not only does it help with anniversary and Xmas events, it also helps complete missions. Don't necessary need to be high tiers. This weeks fire ribbons mission went quite surprisingly fast with my Agincourt and Okt Revolutsiya with 9 and 10 fire ribbons in a single match. :P Was fun playing these tier V ships I don't usually play. -

I'm skipping that one. So far, dockyard missions seem to be structured in such a way; - 2 missions can be done in any class and are pretty easy (you probably will complete those while working on the other missions) - 2 missions award shipbuilding tokens and need to be done anyways, but they're usually quite grindy - 4 missions, each of 1 type of ship, of which you need to do 2 (but if you do more, you can delay the 2 missions above) - 1 missions that needs skillz in randomz (so we ignore that one) For this week, I chose the cruiser mission and the battleship missions. Scoring fire ribbons is fairly easy. Especially on lower tiers where you have no teammates with Smolensks. -
It's one of these games with bad luck on spawn points and bot routes
Purnylla replied to Purnylla's topic in PvE Corner
You said enough. That map sucks. I wish they'd take it out of the map rotation for co-op. -

Yeah, that single secondary hit saved me from punishment, I guess. -

Well, we used to say the same about new operations... perhaps there's still hope. Although I guess once they start adding operations mode to the mission requirements, and open up operations for all tiers, we'd be less reliant on playing co-op games for our PvE desires. -
Permission to add frequent posters in the PvE section as friends on wows eu
Purnylla replied to Chysagon's topic in PvE Corner
You mean you want to ask them if it's OK you contact them (via ingame chat I suppose)? I mean, I don't mind, and I don't want to nitpick about terminology. Just know people won't even notice when you add them to your contact list. (And they might not even notice receiving a chat message, as the ingame chat is far from ideal...) -

Can't you make chat channels for things like these? Although I guess there already is a channel for Operations. -

Yeah it was a bit of a gamble. Middle of this map has a lot of islands, so that also increases the chances of having no enemies within gunsight... -

The game has no friend list. It only has a contact list. You don't need peoples permissions to add them to your contacts, they won't notice being on your contact list anyways. -
Gotta admit Supercontainer loot rarely feels "super". Most of the time the loot is OK. Sometimes the loot is dissapointing and I'd rather have a regular More Coal container. I guess they're called "Supercontainers" because they're bigger, not because of their contents.

Does anyone else find the new button noises annoying?
Purnylla replied to DaBung's topic in General Discussion
Yep, I tuned them down. They were annoyingly loud. -
I can't make a FORMAL accusation, but it FEELS like Wargaming is making at least one Dockyard mission deliberately harder
Purnylla replied to Admiral_H_Nelson's topic in PvE Corner
I'm not sure I even attempted that DD mission, despite having a Marceau in my port which would probably be the best DD to get some spotting ribbons. But even without a CV in the game, you might get 3 spotted ribbons at best, assuming there's another DD on the adjacent spawn group spotting the other bots. Any slower DD might have a big of a harder time to spot enemies before your allies do, though. Most ship type specific missions are doable by having the right ship in port. This weeks "get ribbons" missions are one of my favourites. Having a Worcester, Marceau and a Kurfurst in my port, getting ribbons on Cruisers, DD and BB should be easy. I might even attempt completing the CV mission in my Immelmann due to its good secondary guns. But if you don't have any fast-firing ships in your port, collecting that many ribbons could take a long while... -

I quite enjoyed all operations, except that one time I was doing operation Hermes with my Ark Royal and being matched with tier 8 team mates. All enemies I faced were a few tiers above me (up to tier 10 even), and grouped together. I have no clue what you expect a tier 6 CV to do in such a case, because full squadrons got shot to pieces before even being able to make a stike. Never performed so badly in a CV in an operation.

Buy TX ships for anniversary or event...or not?
Purnylla replied to Charles__Vane__'s topic in General Discussion
Very much true, but FreeXP is a resource much rarer than credits. I guess it all depends on your own situation. Superships aren't the best option, unless you have milions of credits laying around. -

Purnylla replied to Charles__Vane__'s topic in General Discussion
There's usually two events a year; the anniversary and Xmas. So buying T10 would be a long-term investment. As with any T5+ ship. Personally I'm spending any credits I have (which isn't a lot at the moment), trying to buy as many T10 as I can, perhaps even a supership, before the event ends. Credits are the most common type of resource in this game. -
Can't land Dutch Air Strikes on bots. What am I doing wrong?
Purnylla replied to Purnylla's topic in PvE Corner
So it is as I suspected; bots are cheating, knowing the location where the Air Strike drops... -

Purnylla replied to Admiral_H_Nelson's topic in PvE Corner
Not sure they make one mission in every mission group harder (I guess that depends on what mode you play, anything related to baseXP can be harder for co-op players), but pretty sure one group of missions will be much harder to encourage people to spend doubloons to skip that weeks missions (because they're almost there...) -
It's pretty much how every other game out there works, and how all other game modes work. You can't pick your map when queueing Random battle or Co-op battle. It's considerably better than having an Operation of the week (because doing the same operation over and over again gets boring quickly), and there's not enough people online to split up the playerbase upon different queues for each individual operation. It's awesome.
-
Yeah, that's my experience as well. 6 out of 7 ships seems to be T8. I guess part of this could be explained there's no point in grinding techtree ships at Public Test server. It's awesome. Can't wait till it goes live.
-
Sure, some ships are fun, but most ships have premium counterparts that can be equally fun. I see little point in playing Fiji and Prinz Heinrich when I have Atlanta and Scharnhorst in my port :P
