    Seventh Anniversary Flag

Booted up Microsoft Edge for the occasion and it works there. Still not loading in Google Chrome though. Thanks for the help people! :)

Not sure if that was joke but I tried it anyways. Doesn't wwwwwwwwwwwwwork.

    Seventh Anniversary Flag

Doesn't seem to work. Scrolling or clicking doesn't do anything, and doing a hard refresh gives me the same result. Am I the only one with these kinds of problems?

    Seventh Anniversary Flag

Thanks for the info. Is anything supposed to happen after the bar reaches 100%?
  5. Sounds like WG should sell her again if they want to make some good money without having to create any new artwork.
  6. I do. Sounds like an interesting concept, quite different than the usual and an interesting addition to my collection of ships. However, I don't think I'd be willing to pay the price WG is gonna set for that thing.
  7. Value differs per person. If I enjoy sailing aroud with a colourful artful version of a Yamato with all kinds of silly shiny objects, then that thing has value to me. Value ≠ Price, though. There's plenty of things WG tried to sell that I might be interested in (I think they have value), but were simply too expensive (the value I assigned to them was considerably lower than the price WG asking for it). I didn't buy ARP Yamato. That thing is way overpriced IMO. However, other people considered ARP Yamato to be a good deal, apparently assigning more value to it than I do.
  8. However, it does cost WG quite a bit to keep the game servers running and provide new content frequently. That money needs to be earned somehow. And considering this game can be downloaded and played for free, they need another kind of business model to cover these expenses. And yes, that does involve trying to sell us boosts to get creds/XP faster (and make us think that tier X ships are better than tier I ships (which they aren't)) and sell cosmetic stuff for those people who are willing to spend money on that. That's pretty much how most free-to-play games work. Oh, and besides, it actually did cost WG some money to develop the art of ARP Yamato and sign a deal with ARP.
  9. Your poll is flawed since it doesn't include several options. For example, I'm totally fine with them selling the ARP Yamato to anyone and allow them to use it anywhere. I know it's an unpopular opinion on these forums, but if someone totally new is willing to invest 100+ euros in a game I enjoy, I consider that a win to me. I rather play with/against a friendly newbie than with/against some of the toxic elitists here in this community. Your poll only includes options that you personally would find acceptible. It doesn't seem to include opinions you don't agree with.

Operations: IGN CVs absolute Trash Tier vs AA

You need to sail along with the convoy, slightly behind. Never leave your CV all the way back. That'll end badly in several operations. When sailing along the convoy you can also be a bit of a meatshield to protect the more vulnerable convoy ships. Most carriers have a fairly decent HP pool (protecting Raptor or convoy ships is often more important than keeping yourself afloat). And it'll keep flight times shorter and protect the convoy with some extra AA.
  12. Because IMO the most logical strategy would be to get rid of the ships first, and then take out the airfields. However, that strategy doesn't seem to work as you run out of time. Lets not forget these operations are new for many players, and they may need some time to develop a strategy that works. Humans often do things by trial and error. Or, as my colleague used to say; "You don't make mistakes, you discover ways that do not work".
  13. Yeah, but that's workarounds. I've also tried bombing the airfields with my Kaga, which works, but simply isn't going fast enough. But without choosing any specific ships, what's the tactic to do Cherry Blossom? Are you supposed to ignore the boats in the harbor and just focus fire the airfields and hope you destroy them before all those enemies have sunk you? Because trying to clear the harbor of ships first doesn't seem to work, and you run out of time.

Operations: IGN CVs absolute Trash Tier vs AA

Raptor Rescue is fine for CVs. Have played my Ark Royal multiple times on the old format (not sure which changes they did to Raptor Rescue with the update) and was able to deal decent amounts of damage. Actually, CVs can be pretty good at several operations. If you know where enemies spawn and pick the slower targets, you can deal good amounts of damage. Some of my best matches (damage done) were in done in CVs. However, several of the newer operations have high-tier enemies clustered in groups, and that's the kind of things where you can't do much as CV player. Pick your targets carefully, and feel free to dump a load bombs and torpedos in the ocean to make sure at least a part of your squardron gets back to your carrier safely. There's no need to risk a full squardron getting shot out of the air if you can only make one attack run anyways.

Operations: IGN CVs absolute Trash Tier vs AA

Are we talking about coop or Operations? As for coop, the games are usually over too fast for CVs to do much. Although some CVs with fast planes can perform reasonably well. As for operation, as long as you're not tier 6, they can be OK, but you need to pick targets carefully. Depending on the operation, there can be huge clusters of AA. I've done several operations in my Kaga. Cherry Blossom is probably the most annoying one, but Hermes is annoying as well. Ultimate Frontier is doable, as well as any of the old operations. However, tier 6 CVs... well... good luck with that.
  16. Hermes is reasonably doable, but Cherry Blossom I've failed more than I've succeeded, and I haven't quite figured out how to play Cherry Blossom properly. So far, Cherry Blossom is the only operation I don't enjoy, although Ultimate Frontier can be a pain too. On the plus side, Defense of Naval Station Newport suddendly became a lot more doable and enjoyable. Used to be the hardest of the operations, but it's fairly easy compared to Cherry Blossom. I do feel all the operations could use some balancing to make them equally challenging. Both between operations and between tier. But I wouldn't be surprised if WG is already planning on doing that. They're awarding a supercontainer to those who play enough operations, and next patch, if I understand correctly, Random Operations won't be availble to make place for the Halloween operations which will be Operation of the Week. (Unless we can both do Operation of the Week and Random Operation, but that part isn't completely clear to me). So I hope they'll collect enough data and feedback to tweak the operations. Overall, I quite enjoy Random Operation and the best part of is being able to use tier 8 ships. I wish it'd be extended to the other tiers (both the lower tiers as low as tier II, and the higher tiers as high as tier XI).
  17. Can't say I remember seeing any Bayards and Tones in operations, while Mainz is probably the most common premium cruiser together with De 7 Provinciën. The latter one can't be purchased anymore, so I guess Mainz is your best bet.
  18. @Seraphice can you please do something about this? The most terrible games are those were you spawn in a faraway corner in a slow battleship, and all enemie bots going in the other direction. Nothing to shoot at, and nothing you can do about it. Please do something about this. 20220906_100543_PGSB110-Grossdeutschland_38_Canada.wowsreplay
  19. The fact there's a mission to earn a supercontainer in operations might even attract some extra folk that usually doesn't play operations. And, well, as for the new operations, I guess even the more experienced operations-player might still be looking for strategies that work. I know I do. Still haven't quite figured out how to play Cherry Blossom effectively. And then there's operations that are just significantly harder. When playing tier 8, Cherry Blossom has a considerable amount of tier 8 enemies, while, for example, Killer Whale, has less enemies, and pretty much all these enemies are lower tier. So setting strategies and teamwork aside, some ops just have nastier enemies. As for winrate, I wish the word was banned in the PvE section. It says nothing. Yesterday I had a teammember in Narai who was more interested in his own score than working as a team, ignoring secondary objectives, not communicating with the team, just so he could score more kills. He was tops of the leaderboard on a 3-star victory. Could easily been a 5-star victory if he had spent his talents elsewhere.
  20. https://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/general-news/waterline-development-plan-updates-fall-2022/ Looks like PvE is finally getting a bit of love from WG. About time :)
  21. So far, when reading wikis, the go-to upgrade for the 5th slot for pretty much any boat is Concealment System Mod 1. However, how useful is this upgrade for any ship that relies on artillery in operations? -10% Concealment range is pretty useless when you're firing your guns most of the time, as your concealment range equals your gun range. +5% dispersion on shells fired at you should potentially mean you get hit less often, but the bots in operations seem to aim and hit fairly well. Does it really make a difference? So how useful is this upgrade? And what about comparing it to Ship Consumables Modification that increases consumable durations with +10%? (I mean, that should mean that any ship with a heal can heal 10% more with each repair party consumable).

5th slot upgrade for gunboats for Operations?

While such a tool may accurately indicate how much potential healing you gain with a +10% consumable mod, it doesn't help giving any kind of indication how much damage you prevent from a +5 dispersion for enemy shells.

    Mid-Autumn Festival

Shame these commanders and camouflages are locked behind random bundles with no option to purchase them individually without RNG. @Seraphice would be nice if WG would treat commanders and camos the same as premium ships and always give us the opportunity to purchase them via alternative methods that do not depend on RNG.
