    Hang on, so all Dasha captains have Russian voice over? That's a dissapointment. Makes me a lot less interested in getting any of the non-Russian captains. Interesting, but not interesting enough for me to spend doubloons. I might have considered spending coal though.

    I did get the keep my Perth captain after the rental period from the Australian bushfires charity event. That's all I know. I guess tomorrow we'll know if the same applies to these other rental ships.

    If they get moved to your inventory, wouldn't that mean you could mount them on any ship? If that's true, investing in upgrades for a rental ship is actually not a bad idea. I guess I might just use the cheap slot 1 upgrade to find out what happens, but I wonder if someone already has done such an experiment. :)

    I don't really see how you can blame WG for the stupidity of people. It's been made pretty clear that these ships are only rented for a limited time. You know that well enough before spending credits on upgrades for these ships. If people can't be bothered to read, I don't mind their credit reserves vanishing. Speaking of which, what does actually happen to upgrades mounted on rental ships? Do they get sold for half-price after the rental period?

    I like coop games. They're more relaxed and there's considerably less toxicity in coop games. Sure, it takes ages to tier up the tech tree ships, but I don't mind. I'm not in a hurry. Would be nice of PvP players would stop looking down upon PvE players though. Just because we like a different playstyle and gaming experience, doesn't make us inferior players. Would also be nice if WG would stop alienating coop players from certain events. Thankfully most directives and missions can be done in coop mode. :)

    Nothing is stated about what happens to the captain when you don't have the ship. I still have my Perth captain from the event where we could rent the Perth for 24 hours. Any chance we do get to keep the captains, even when we do not own the ship?

    I guess the option to pay 250k credits to playtest a premium ship is pretty nice, it's a shame it needs to be in random bundles though. There's a few ships in the list I'd like to give a try, but I doubt it's worth it working my way to the bundles. I'm still unsure though. I guess WG is trying to see how people react. Is there any information on how long those bundles will remain available?

    Money for Early Acess

    I don't see a problem with allowing people to spend money to skip the wait and grind for the tech tree line ships. I mean, with those people spending money on the game, they're supporting the game that I enjoy. I didn't spend a penny on this event, and I'm quite happy with the event. Sure, the RNG token drop from containers is silly, but I've gotten a lot more freebies than I would've had without any event. Let me list some of the stuff I got for free by simply playing the event; - The tier 5 and 6 Pan-EU destroyers (which come with port slots, save me a bit of the low tier grinding, and saving me credits by not having to buy the ships and modules) - Containers which have a decent chance to drop some extra coal - Directives awarding me with some camo's, signals, credits, free XP and commander XP And I don't mind at all that some people already got the T8 ship unlocked. I can only thank these people for supporting the game. I'm not in a hurry. As long as I'll enjoy this game, I'll get there eventually. :)

    Best looking ship I have in my port is my Jaguar with the French Navy permaflage. If all permaflages would look this cool, I'd buy a lot more of them. :P

    Why is my port so slow?

    Since a couple of weeks, everything in port seems to load extremely slow, and the more pages I open, the slower the game gets. Things like the news messages, armory and naval base takes ages to load, even once loaded, I notice even going back to port takes a long while. Loading a battle takes considerably longer when I've opened on of the aforementioned pages, while it's all OK if I don't open these pages. Rebooting the game seems to fix it, until I load these pages again. What's up here? Am I the only one experiencing this? What can I do to fix it?

    Suggestions thread

    In order to encourage the usage of low tier ships, I'd like to suggest to; 1. Remove the tier restrictions from directives, especially those that - require a certain amount of XP/FXP/CXP - require a certain amount of credits - require a certain amount of damage done - require a certain amount of potential damage receive Since low tier ships will already be slower to complete these directives because less XP/creds are awarded and less damage is involved 2. Remove the tier restrictions from the daily mission chains and - change the 1st mission of the 1st chain, that it no longer requires 250 base XP over one battle, but instead requires 250 base XP in total (can be spread over multiple battles), similar to the 2nd/3rd mission and the 2nd chain. In order to prevent new players being flooded with too many new mechanics, the requirement to unlock directives and the daily mission chains could be set to having at least one tier V ship in port.

    Well, it seems hard to find any coop focused clans. My current clan seems to be pretty dead and inactive, so I'm looking for a new home. Most clans seem to focus on PvP though, and that's not really a mode I enjoy. Do you think your clan would keep its primary focus on coop/scenarios when the clan grows?

    Low tier games and missions

    I agree with OP. I barely play low tier ships because; - they don't count towards directives/missions - there seem to be less people playing it, even in coop you'd mostly be stuck with bots on your team Would've been nice if the tier requirement for directives/missions would go down.
  23. So far the current directives seem doable. I'm only play coop games, so the hardest ones are those which require any amount of XP or credits gained. I was a tad displeased by the number of objectives which can only be done with certain ship types, but most of them seem to be pretty doable. I do remember doing quite a bit of suicide runs when I had to score torpedo hits on destroyers though. I'm not much of a fan of destroyers. The mission that requires flooding caused with carriers still seems impossible to me, but I'm pretty unskilled at carriers and I think the UI feedback on aerial torpedos is pretty bad. Fortunately there were enough missions I could complete, so I could skip this one. The mission to grind 130000 commander XP seemed to be an extreme grind, but fortunately I had saved up signals and outfitting my Scharnhorst with any XP/CXP signal I could, did really speed up the process. And it's a shame there's a large number of missions that cannot be completed in coop mode. But oh well, PvP has always had received more love than PvE. Considering the reward for the directives is a tier 6 premium cruiser, I didn't expect it to be easy. At least it's a lot more doable that the PR event. Even the Gorizia turned out to be an impossible grind for me.
  24. Had too many battles recently with only 2 or 3 human players in co-op battles recently. I really dislike games like that. I rather wait longer in queue for a team, play in smaller teams, or play with a non-ideal formation of ships. Anything is better than being grouped with so many bots on the team. Problem seems to occur more frequently recently.
  25. I'm curious to see which permaflages, and how they look, for ships I have not unlocked yet. Unfortunately the ingame client doesn't seem to be able to show me. Is there any way to see available permaflages for ships I do not own?
