    The RU directives

It's you. Most directives can also be done in the submarine battle mode, once it's available. That's all. Can be done in any ship type.

New Russian Event is a Letdown

Ah the Italian cruiser event was a nice one. I got the Genova and Montecuccoli, as well as permaflages for the Tiers 5 to 8 ships. Never got so lucky in later events though. Still, any reward is better than nothing I guess.
  3. Autopilot seems to prefer making a giant slow U-turn, in cases I prefer it would just go full reverse. How do I do that?
  4. What's the difference between the Kiev>Tashkent>Kharabovsk line and the Ognevoi>Udaloi>Grozovoi line?
  5. Upgrades are now 50% discounted, so I wanted to buy a few for future ships, saving me credits in the long run. But I can't find any place to buy upgrades without mounting them on a ship. Is this even possible, and if so, how?
  6. Does that mean that any upgrades mounted on the Clan Battles rental ships will be unmounted for free, placed back into the inventory, once the rental period ends? 100% sure?

    WG more PVE Content

PvE players are usually treated like second-class players. Apparently PvP is considered the 'better' game mode. Most Twitch mission drops can only be completed in PvP game modes. Says enough about the love PvE players get.

    the supercontainer value

Meh, the rewards I got from supercontainers haven't been all that amazing. Although occasionally a supercontainer does drop something useful, but usually it's some silly camos or signals. I rather just take my 400 coal from the resource crates. I certainly wouldn't go TYL to increase the chance for SCs dropping.

    Recommended Premium tier 6 - 7 - 8 ship

I'm having massive fun with Atlanta. That ROF is just epic. Not sure it's a good money maker, but it's incredibly fun :P But there's also quite a few ships available for coal. Those are decent money makers as well. :)
  10. I'm happy that directives can be done in co-op. I like co-op and I hate to be forced to do pvp just to participate in events. No worries. Not being able to participate in the event actually allow me to enjoy the game and play whatever I want how much I want, rather than feeling the need to complete certain objectives within the given time limit. Personally I voted "no". Although I quite enjoy directives and like how I can work towards multiple objectives at the same time, I'm happy that we're given a small break. We don't need them every single patch. Oh, and I wouldn't mind if the time limit to complete them was increased. I certainly enjoy the system over any time-limited campaign system.

    question about tech tree

Yes I recently noticed it too. But am I correct in assuming that a premium ship bought via the techtree doesn't come with a trained commander and a port slot, which is why it's cheaper than armory? And I guess you cannot use the 25% discount coupon when buying a premium ship via tech tree?

    Some noob questions

That's odd. I'm only doing co-op and pretty much never got reported. It surprises me that you have a whole different experience. If somebody torps you, it's their responsability. The least they can do is apologize. I always report players who do friendly fire and do not apologize for it. Depending on your ship, yolo could be a decent tactic in some situations in co-op. In general, the only people I see reported is those being completey AFK, hiding all the way at the edge of the map, doing insults or friendly fire. I've never seen people reported for doing yolo or taking a more cautious approach (while still taking part in battle) in co-op games. Odd, I've never received negative comments about me sailing premium ships, even though I do sail them pretty often. And kill stealing is a pretty silly thing in team games. The only good enemy is a dead one, no matter who got the kill. It's a tad strange the game rewards you for taking out the last hp though. I've never received reports for such a thing. No I can't, it just makes no sense to me. Feel free to contact me in game so we can division up and do some co-op games together. Meh, just have fun. Tier 6 can still do some damage versus tier 8. Bots mostly seem to prefer the target nearest to them, you can use that to their advantage. Plus, you don't really need to survive the battle. If you can take out a tier 8 enemy ship while sacrificing your tier 6 boat, that sounds like a win to me. A tier 6 torpedo still hurts a tier 8 ship, fires and floods do damage based upon hp of a ship, so setting a tier 8 ship afire is always nice. Plus, any shot fired at you is a shot not fired at your team mates. A tier 6 destroyer could keep a tier 8 ship occupied for a while. And well, if you fail, so be it. Back to port and on to the next battle. I hope things will improve for you though. It really surprised me that your co-op experience is so much different than mine. I can't understand why.

Super Container Loot Thread [ topics merged ]

I don't know what I did to get RNG on my side, but it seems to be raining super containers lately.

Matchmaker Discussion Thread & MM Balance

Dear matchmaker, could you please not do this. I like to play coop with other human players, not with a team full of bots...

After months of no super containers, I just got my 2nd within the same week.

    Armory shitting the bed....again...

Yep, happens to me too. Takes a while to load, but if you won't move your mouse, it'll keep loading forever.

    Proper Brawling

Yeah, coop allows for some more fun tactics. I also find brawling being the reason I really like to play low tier coop games once in a while. Taking my tier 2 Albany out for a coop game is suprisingly fun. Low tier ships seem to have quite some hitpoints compared to the damage they do, so they're less squishy and can do some brawling before anything sinks :P

The rentals - which did you like?

I tried all of the ones in the credits bundle. I quite liked the Haida, Alabama and Bayard. All of the others didn't really fit my play style. I'm considering to buy one of the ships I liked, but not sure which. I can't find anywhere to buy the Bayard with doubloons, so I can't use the 25% discount coupon. I read forum comments that the Massachusetts would be a better option over the Alabama. And though the Haida is nice, I already have some tier 7 premium ships, and might be better of buying a tier 8 one instead. Hard choices, but I guess I'll wait for my 25% coupon anyways, so I have some time to think and make a well considered decision. :)

    Rental ships/Dasha how long available?

I have two unique commanders, but if I understand correctly, it's just me hearing the voice over?

    COOP GAMES

Yeah, I hate games like that. Happens sometimes. Can't even leave the game without a penalty.
  21. I'm nowhere near unlocking the Research Bureau yet. But I'd like to see what's waiting for me after I'd finally unlock it in a few years or so :P And I guess it'd also help me not spending doubloons on anything I might be able to unlock for free. (Although honestly, I guess it's mostly curiousity and having something to look forward to) I know there's an URL to see what's available on the Armory. But is there also such a thing for the Research Bureau?
  22. Thanks a lot for the quick replies guys. I didn't realize the RB ships couldn't be bought with doubloons, unlike those ships available for coal, free xp, etc. Useful to know. Thank you all :)
  23. Which two ships? (So I know not to buy them with doubloons)
