Its not a question that can be looked at with a simple yes no question. You should also try to establish whether people have actually tested the mod, because frankly their opinion is not that valuable if they didn't.

My personal opinion? I don't think the mod is very useful at all. The situations where you could use it a super limited and in those situations someone who was paying attention to a smoked up ship would be able to make the same shots without the mod. I think that you would actually be worse off trying to hit shots with the mod, rather than engaging a target that you can reliably hit. -

We are indeed looking into this, not because we made any changes to the ship or the module, but because we have seen the reports and comments about it. Just because we are investigating doesn't mean something is wrong, it just means that we take your reports seriously and check up on them. Funny how in both of the cases you mentioned we did not make any intentional changes, then went and checked, found a bug and fixed it. Maybe start trusting us when we say we will check!

The modpack has just been updated for 0.7.2.2, and several new mods have been added: Team HP Author: @Monstrofil. The modification displays the total number of health commands Compact quick command bar Author: @AutoSpy. The quick commands panel is presented on a smaller scale. Doctor Author: @BADoBEST. Additional information about ship repair. Ship Tooltip Params Author: @BADoBEST. The modification allows you to move the information panel about the ship. The main commander of the Author: @Monstrofil. The modification returns the "Main commander" to the ship, after pressing the appropriate button. By default, the main crews of ships are not set. To specify the Prime crew press RMB on the commander and choose the corresponding menu item. After this button is enabled "to return to the main commander."

Previously the feature was only available to people who modded the client, now that it is available to everyone we of course have many more training rooms being used. That being said, we might look at the availability of bots in training rooms in future, I will pass along the feedback.

Its not supposed stop them being knocked out, it only makes the rudder still work with reduced efficiency, so you can still steer somewhat :)

I get where you are coming from, but we simply made decisions here based on what we thought would cause the least offense and not lead to any legal problems in any of the countries our game is played. When our flag system (ability to change flags on some ships) is implemented, we might be able to re-include some flags, but this is not something I can promise. For now please make use of the many great mods that our community has created, that are all easily installable via our modpack. (Swastika excluded) Unfortunately this thread has devolved too much into a political discussion, which is not allowed on our forums, so I will go ahead and close it. closed -
You need to understand that saying "Its a feature" does not mean that its a good feature. The current ballistics mechanics work in a way that has unfortunate consequences for destroyers, which we are aware of and would like to address. Now...

We would like it to work differently, which is what we are working on. But in the current mechanics, an AP shell's path through the ship is calculated and damage applied per compartment. I am not saying its a great feature, but it is currently working as it should in the constraints of our game mechanics. Please don't take this as "Conway thinks BBs should be able to lolpen DDs", I am just trying to explain where we are coming from. I will see if I can get you some more information on upcoming ballistics changes soon.

We are absolutely willing to take the community's wishes into account, which is why I am following this thread closely ;) I am not saying that the examples are without merit, but if the mod gives you such a clear advantage, then surely someone should be able to record footage of this in a random battle? -

As many people have mentioned, this is not at all representative of actual gameplay and aside at making blind shots at someone who is stationary in smoke at their last spotted position, I have yet to see any examples of this being used in game to target players in a cyclone for example. If anyone does have examples like this to share, please feel free to PM them to me and I will make sure they are forwarded to our devs. While the matter is still subject to discussion internally, the mod is currently not prohibited. We have debated and considered this mod several times and don't consider it to give much, or any, real world advantage in battles. If you have evidence that you think shows otherwise, please feel free to forward it to me. -

This is not a bug though, that's a feature ;) Just simply removing this would have far more ramifications on the game and other ship classes as well. We'll let you know more about the fix when its ready!

If you check the new clarified rules you will see that neither are banned and can be used and distributed via mods on our forums!
