    PT 0.7.5 Bug Reports

Unfortunately the permanent camouflage will not be available before round 2 of the test launches, I have reported the items missing in the inventory.

US Cruiser Changes - How will you be affected

As it is a ship-specific camo, we would need to re-do it unfortunately. The Cleveland camo I am referring to is this one: Only the veterans will know it, it is exceedingly rare nowadays ;)

It also says so in this thread, above next to the US Cruisers part ;)

    Z39 in Shop

Sure I can. But as you already mentioned, all of these captains can be or could be obtained for free, so we do not see an issue with providing a counterpart for players who couldn't complete the missions in the shop. These are also not captains from permanent campaigns, but temporary ones.
  5. Captains, As you may have already seen, there were some strange images popping circulating in the past few days... As we heard overnight from Texas, it is all true! Some time in 2018 (sorry, we cannot be more precise yet) the US Navy cruiser line is going to be split. DISCLAIMER: All information below is work in progress and subject to change. Why? We think there should be more variety in play-styles. The British cruiser tree shows that 6-inch cruisers work in game all the way to Tier X, so why not have more of them? At the same time play-style variations within a branch are not necessarily that good. Splitting the line on higher tiers between a light and a heavy cruiser branch will help to define their roles - and captain setups - and to streamline the progress throughout the line. This will allow us to place ships in perfect places (for them) in the tech tree. Right now for example, Cleveland is significantly inconvenienced by the need to make her viable on Tier VI - while her armament and other stats would allow her to perform more than OK on Tier VIII. How? The line will split from Omaha on Tier V. Heavy cruisers from Pensacola to Baltimore will be bumped down a Tier (after all, the Pensacola class was a direct follow-up to the Omaha class). This should make them more comfortable, though this change will also require some additional polishing. Cleveland will be moved to Tier VIII and re balanced. New ships will be added to fill in the branches. The split will of course mean some free stuff for the owners of US cruisers, but that is not why we get these ships, right? RIGHT? How will they play? The new light cruiser branch will be focused heavily on being multi-role - mostly aimed at close-to mid range combat support and DPM. They will keep Cleveland's mixed blessing - the high shell trajectory, but also respectable AP and HE shells. So far we are thinking about simultaneously combining Defensive AA and Hydroacoustic Search. On higher Tiers Radar and heals might be added to round out the multi-role angle of these ships Ships Dallas The new branch will open with a really light cruiser - still with respectable guns and protection, she should find her place on the battlefield rather easily. Helena Tier VII will see the second ship of her class - USS Helena. Why? Mostly because the lead ship would be the third St. Louis - and 2nd in the US tree - in game, which may lead to some confusion. In any case, Helena is a modified Brooklyn class cruiser with a powerful main battery of 15 6-inch guns and decent AA armament. Cleveland We know her from Tier VI - now she will finally assume her rightful place. Built as a follow-up to the St. Louis class, the Clevelands sported better protection and stronger AA, in exchange for one main gun turret less. Do not worry though - 12 guns is more than enough! Seattle While Cleveland has good AA firepower, it is not enough... Enter one of the projects for a "Big gun" AA cruiser, based generally on the Cleveland class, but with fully dual-purpose main guns. Worcester The new branch will end with the Worcester class light cruiser - generally comparable to Minotaur in general design (AA cruiser with twin 6" guns), though contrary to Minotaur she will be less stealthy (no smoke, more visible). According to SubOctavian this will be the "manly Minotaur" Likely consumable combo: Damage Control Party + Repair Party + Defensive AA + Hydroacoustic Search + Radar Note: This is pronounced Wooster - learn it! Buffalo If we move everything from Pensacola to Baltimore a Tier down, we need a new Tier IX, right? As it happens, we had an 8-inch heavy cruiser design in storage for quite some time - one of the preliminary studies leading to the Des Moines class will now pick up the slack in the tech tree!
  6. As you already know, we run a community contributor program for our other World of... titles and have already been active with it in World of Warships. Through this program, we express our gratitude and offer our support to individual players who made a significant contribution towards the game and its growing Community. Community Contributor FAQQ1. Who are the Community Contributors? So what and who are the Community Contributors you may ask? They are awesome players who assist and help players of Wargaming games, such as showing off their love for Wargaming products over their stream or YouTube, run a fan site or Facebook page providing helpful answers, writing guides, run in-game events in our contest area, etc. Basically those of you who voluntarily dedicate your time and energy towards your love for Wargaming games and in doing so, improve the online community experience for others! Q2. Do Community Contributors represent Wargaming? The Community Contributors are trusted members of the community that we want to work very closely with by sharing info with them as well as help them in their projects. Their opinions and stances remain totally their own and not those of Wargaming. Q3. How do we select those who become Community Contributors? Each case will be considered individually. However, a Community Contributor should have at least 3 months of (continuous) community contribution and interaction with Wargaming.net players via different channels such as: forum, fan site, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook etc. Additionally, Contributors should have a good forum conduct for no less than half a year. No medium to major offences are allowed.Q4. Do Community Contributors receive any payment from Wargaming?Nope. Those recognized as Community Contributors work with the EU community staff to further fuel their hobby and audience, there is no payment involved.Q5. Can I recommend someone to become the World of Warships Community Contributor?Of course! However Contributors will always be selected by the Community team.Q6. What comes with being a Community Contributor?Within your community region, you will automatically have a “Community Contributor” rank placed next to your name on the forum in blue. Additionally, those recognized will receive: occasional social media promotion on our main facebook/twitter/website, early access to certain game content, bonus codes/gold* for selected contests and events. *this will depend on the event and will be sponsored by the Community team for each event done. Q7. So how can I apply to be a Community Contributor? You can send your application via PM to the community team. Please make sure to include all the members in your PM (Ph3lan, MrConway, Kandly) and send us some samples of your work and/or links to respective channels. Q8. Cool! Are there already any Community Contributors?Yes! Some of you may have already noticed streams and community members getting mentioned on our Facebook to bring more exposure to their videos, contests, streams or guides. Other community contributors have been given access to new ships coming out in the upcoming patches to share with all of you. I am not sure why, but I can try to find out. In the meantime, the workaround posted by the awesome @Seeteufel looks promising :)

Historical discussion section in the forums?

That's a great idea, I didn't even realize it was hiding there ;)

Even the Community Contributors know you're *edit, WG.

Tagging us is usually a good way to make sure of that, I personally note down good feedback and make sure to forward it :)

Port chat ever going to get fixed?

Who dares summon me!? Just kidding The UI issues are a sore point for us as well and something we really want to address as soon as we can free up the necessary dev time, until then there is little we can do :(

3 clan members in ranked battles

We have no problem with people in the same clan counting down, and if we did it would be easy for them to leave the clan and do it anyway. The issue is when these people adjust their play-style to intentionally influence the match outcomes, feed or similar. If you spot this please send a report with replay to support and we will send them straight to Gulag.

"Dark side" of WWII in Europe Marathon mission

To be honest it looks like the system should do the discouraging for us. But it might be a good idea to look into this :)

Chat ban - small change at least...

As a general rule of advice, when taking to the forum complaining about a chat ban, make sure that your chat history is squeaky clean, or you will attract the attention of myself The simple fact is that even if all three members of a division report you, you will not be immediately chat banned. If they however push you over the threshold from other reports you have surely received for some of your colourful use of language, then there is little we can do. Having the ban apply everywhere is of course not ideal, but from a technical perspective that is the way the system currently works. Since this only negatively affects the people who break the rules, we are not terribly motivated to invest time into changing this. Cut down on your salt a little and it shouldn't happen again. :)

    Double punishment playing Dm. Donskoi

Its obviously not working as intended, but hard for an automatic system to distinguish. Please send in a report to customer support with replays from both games so we can take a closer look. Ultimately I am not however sure if we will be able to distinguish an accidental deletion from an intentional suicide rush. But providing this doesn't happen several games in a row (it shouldn't) you will not receive the punishment, but only the warning.

Prinz Eugen in my Port. Why?

Sorry I'm a bit late to the party in this thread but I did want to weigh in. This argument comes up whenever we do this kind of win-back promotion and I can understand how you feel being left out of this kind of promotion. The reality is that we are a free to play game, none of you are forced to pay any money to play and we frequently give everyone the chance to get free premium content through missions, marathons, campaigns and contests. We absolutely love all of you that spent money on supporting us and the game, our intention with these initiatives is definitely not to piss you off. But as all games, we need players. If we can encourage a veteran to come back to the game, play some ranked and hopefully rekindle his love for warships, we will do so even if it means giving away some free stuff. More players mean a healthier game which is good for all of us. What did you get for being active for the last three months - I hope you had fun playing our game! :) I cannot guarantee that you will get anything if you go AFK for any amount of time and I hope that if you enjoy playing World of Warships, you won't want to.

    Asashio : optional 10km torps

I would not be in favour of this. I am not sure about the balancing considerations of just giving it those torps with its consumable loadout, but above all I want to know what I am dealing with when I meet an Asashio in game. If I meet her in game in a DD or Cruiser and she can either not torp me at all, or be able to delete me with nasty Kagero torps, that would make me very unhappy.

    Worcester - excuse me?

I die far too early in it because I am rubbish at squishy ships. Apart from that, this is the start of balance testing - so we don't know yet! Everything about this ship might still change.

Clan Battles - Skill- and Modification Discount

Sorry, I just saw your reasoning for not having played clan battles. While I sympathize we can't really make an exception in this case. We already made the requirements for getting the reset as easy as possible.
