Armchair Admirals: Pearl Harbor - Guest Starring Indy and Spartacus!
MrConway replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Yes absolutely, all of our streams can be viewed as videos both on YouTube and our Twitch channel :) Good questions, I', sure we can discuss them! -
The mission should have been available right away, but it sometimes takes a little while to invoice it to all accounts. Please check if you have it now, otherwise we'll check whether something went wrong. It should look like this: Our apologies for the delay.
-
Thanks, I will absolutely pass it on!

What a necro! ;) Most likely yes!

Please send a quick ticket to customer support including a replay for the game it happened in + a WG check file. We're happy to investigate, but we need more than just a screenshot :) Link: https://eu.wargaming.net/support/en/products/wows/help/30002/30007/

Following the recent changes to our sound system that ended up breaking all sound mods, one of our devs wrote a cool little utility that converts an old sound mod into a new one. Download: Old Sound Mod Converter The program is designed to convert old sound modifications of the game, the structure of which looked like this: The way of working with the converter is quite simple. There are two files in the mod_converter folder: mods_converter.exe and run.cmd Open the run.cmd file with any text editor (for example, "Notepad") 1. In the @SET GAME_DIR = line, specify the location where you have the WoWS game client installed. For example: @SET GAME_DIR = "D: \ Games \ World_of_Warships" 2. In the line @SET MOD_DIR = specify the location where you have the old sound modification. For example: @SET MOD_DIR = "D: \ myMods \ SuperSoudnMod" 3. In the line @SET OUTPUT_DIR = specify the location where the result will be converted. For example: @SET OUTPUT_DIR = "D: \ Games \ World_of_Warships_RU \ res \ banks \ mods" Save and close the editor. @REM game folder @SET GAME_DIR="D:\Games\World_of_Warships" @REM old modification folder: (in the old_mod directory should be "Voice" directory) @SET MOD_DIR="D:\myMods\SuperSoudnMod" @REM output folder: mod will be generated there @SET OUTPUT_DIR=""D:\Games\World_of_Warships_RU\res\banks\mods" @mods_converter %GAME_DIR% %MOD_DIR% %OUTPUT_DIR% @pause Run run.cmd. The mod will be converted to a new format and will look like this: The modification will work correctly both from the directory ... \ res \ banks \ mods, and from the directory ... \ res_mods \ 0.6.13.1 \ banks \ mods

Captains, Please use this thread to conduct discussions about the current state of radar in the game. As we have noticed a trend of more and more topics being opened about the same topic, we want to make sure the topic of radar doesn't take over the forums while having a place where concerns, feedback and suggestions can be voiced. New radar threads will be merged into this one if they are not contributing anything new to the discussion.

Our apologies for the initial error with the buttons, unfortunately it was indeed assigning the wrong mission To make sure you can get the mission that you want, anyone that chose before 13:00 UTC today can pick again (choose the missing mission ;))

Add an option to de-mount / reassign free perma camos
MrConway replied to ForlornSailor's topic in General Discussion
Its something we can think about, but also kinda goes against the idea of these permanent camouflages. Especially since you get to pick the ship :) -
Different missions and different rewards, WG strikes once again
MrConway replied to Jvd2000's topic in General Discussion
I don't think it really matters which specific metric we use to define activity, but I can disclose it is not the amount of time spent idling in port :) The more you play, the more active you are. Yes, we don't want to give really hard missions to players with no chance to complete them and we also don't want to give easy missions to players who will blast through them immediately and then have nothing left to play for. By adjusting this based on previous activity, we try to tailor the difficulty to provide something achievable. Thats not something we want to do at this point, we don't want to force you to keep track somewhere of how many battles you played so that you can get more missions next update. We will also be changing and tweaking the values in the background, so it would create a lot of confusion. My recommendation is to just play as you would an enjoy all of the things you can earn :) -
Why Remove the choice of Asymmetric Battles?
MrConway replied to Migantium_Mashum's topic in General Discussion
As with our other time limited modes, there is a good chance that they will be back if they were successful and well-received. :) Unfortunately we cannot leave all of these modes active, this would have a negative impact on the matchmaker and queue times. I also think that by changing the modes up, they stay fresh and interesting - just wait for the madness in the Halloween mode! -
unlocking FPS limiter makes rudder only go to half!?
MrConway replied to VagueTarget's topic in Archive
Please send in a support ticket. Just please be aware that we of course cannot guarantee normal working of the client when any modifications have been made to the base files. But we can have a look. -

Winners — Victory at Sea Essay Contest
MrConway replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Yes it is OK! :) It seems we had a bit of an internal miscommunication, as the stream on Friday where the winners were meant to be announced was moved to Thursday. I'll get back to you, but likely we will announce them on the portal tomorrow. My apologies. -
We have a plan to create a way to get access to flags that we have not released yet in future, likely involving the armory. But I cannot yet say when this will happen, we'll have to wait and see :)

ST 0.9.9, The "U.S. Battleships, Part 1" event, mercenaries, and other new features. (DB 68)
MrConway replied to Tanatoy's topic in Development Blog
If you completed your account registration with an email, then you can also log in to World of Warships via the WGC using your Steam account, you don't have to use the Steam client :) -
This is connected to the fact that the "M" tactical map is literally just a zoomed out version of the battle, so it will not show you anything that is not rendered in the regular overview, while the minimap contains "sighting reports" from allied ships across the whole map.

MrConway replied to Tanatoy's topic in Development Blog
Yes, the WGC will ensure that you always have the current and next WoWs version installed so you will be able to play on any server, regardless of update. -
Sorry, but I think @ColonelPete and @LOZFFVII are entirely right here. Just posting that you dislike something is not constructive criticism at all. I also don't think they were abusing or trolling you, they were offering some constructive criticism regarding your topic.

ranked sprint format as a game option.
MrConway replied to THE_JUDEAN_PEOPLES_FRONT's topic in General Discussion
I do too, we are in the same boat... 17 battles and I'm through, really quite sad. Also: Pommern is love, Pommern is life! -

I don't mean this to sound mean or imply that we don't believe you, but if this is not visible in our logs, it did not happen. We have never had an issue like this crop up in the time since we launched the feature and I doubt that you encountered a unique issue where the dropped line wasn't logged. In addition we can see that the correct amount of free XP was deducted, so you are not even missing any resources. If there was anything wrong here, we would of course help you.
