Apologies for the delay gentlemen, here is the promised update!
-
No, clan battles will end with 0.8.0 as planned, sorry for the misunderstanding. I wasn't trying to spin anything, the extension of clan battles missions is not connected to the server issues (we just know people appreciate more time to get steel :)) - but there were questions here regardless. We had announced the extension of the season, but not the missions.

Update 0.8.0 Is Postponed – Here's Why - Discussion Thread
MrConway replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
We should have it up with a whole week of lead time. I want to make sure the information will not change anymore and since the whole issue is rather complex it is better to do it through a proper portal article. The directives will also still be available until the update hits, the only thing not being prolonged is the "Nerves of Steel" missions chain. -
Cobi HMS Warspite, now available! - Discussion Thread
MrConway replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
I agree 100%! Building Lego, or Cobi for that matter, is such a nice and relaxing experience and the models you get out of it can be really nice. I can recommend giving it a go to anyone who enjoyed doing it in their childhood, its still as fun - albeit very dangerous when you realize that as an adult you can buy more of it -
Give me a replay with time-stamps and I'll pass it on for a closer look!

We are indeed prolonging these missions today, you'll have until 29.01 to complete them! -
Unfortunately we cannot technically credit any wins, but we are extending clan battles missions by a week, so if you are still missing completions it is not too late! They will now expire on 29.01!

I doubt this is going to happen, we've already made enough changes to the tech-tree to confuse most people :)
-
Unfortunately any battles that were in progress when the server died are irrecoverably lost, there is nothing we can do in those cases. We will have news regarding compensation for the weekend's server issues later today.

Damage statistic on damage type to ship type
MrConway replied to ColonelPete's question in Q&A Section
Yes, unfortunately not a positive one - for now we are not willing to share those stats. -

Blyskawica - WG says it can't buff it because of "stats".
MrConway replied to Aragathor's topic in General Discussion
We don't generally publish internal stats, but I can ask. -
Blyskawica - WG says it can't buff it because of "stats".
MrConway replied to Aragathor's topic in General Discussion
The problem is that you cannot just look at the EU server, you have to consider global stats as any change would impact all servers. Globally her winrate is completely fine and in fact better than exactly half of the tier VII DDs - not what I would call unbalanced. What you are saying is more an argument for nerfing the Leningrad, rather than buffing Blyskawica. -
Blyskawica - WG says it can't buff it because of "stats".
MrConway replied to Aragathor's topic in General Discussion
Internally we just call those accurate stats, or just stats for short. I just had a look and while it is true that EU players don't seem to be doing as amazing in here, she is perfectly fine and actually doing well on a global average. She has a little bit of a demanding skill-floor, but honestly there is nothing in the stats that indicates she needs any kind of buff. Buffing her would probably tip the scale and make her OP. -
If he performs a clean installation of the game and does not run programs like reshade that could change the game files, he should be totally safe.

The modstation is safe to use, it contains only tested and approved mods that will not trigger a detection. In general I would recommend anyone who has questions to read through Sub_Octavian's Q&A on the policy and recent banwave: I can understand your frustration, but you have to understand that if we detect modifications to core game files that are not to be touched in any way, we need to act. It gives us no pleasure doing this, but to maintain a standard of fair-play in our game we need to be strict. Note that not only direct mods for World of Warships, but also 3rd party programs like Re-Shade that influence the game files are completely prohibited. While we will not be able to overturn your ban, we do offer one way out for people struck by a permanent ban (this being a one-time exception). We can reset your account progress and then unlock the account. By doing this you will lose all XP, credits and tech-tree ships, but keep premium ships, premium time and other purchased items like port slots etc. You can request this service from our support team. Edit: Apologies, it seems I was misinformed about this option, it is not currently available for World of Warships, but we will look into whether we can do something along those lines.

GPU drivers do not trigger a positive detection, there seems to be some misinformation going around. Check out Sub_Octavian's Q&A on reddit regarding the topic, that should clear things up:

No, we thought it would be a nice gesture to extend the PEF missions as we are delaying the update anyway, this doesn't mean we'll be giving something extra to early birds, sorry.

Yes, both ships are going to available for the remainder of the update. We are not removing the fighter from the minimap, only the patrol zone of said fighter. The actual unit will still be visible. -
[GLOBAL VOTING] Camouflage Design Contest - Leningrad and Minsk

We corrected the poll within a very short time, so it should have no impact on the final result. Our apologies for this oversight. -
[GLOBAL VOTING] Camouflage Design Contest - Leningrad and Minsk
MrConway replied to SeaSickOllie's topic in News & Announcements
Irrespective of how you feel on the matter, discussions about politics are not permitted on the forums. We have established rules on what aspects of historical factions and ideologies are permitted in the game and have discussed them with the community at length, there is no need to go into them again. Sorry, but only the top three entries from each region are included in this final vote, unfortunately you did not make the cut. As I have mentioned above, lets not have this discussion. If you don't like a particular design vote for a different one. If a majority of the community feels the same way I am sure it will not win anyway. -
I stand corrected.

While we do give the mods a check, we cannot guarantee that they will work without errors on all systems and in all combinations of mods - from a technical perspective mods are always used at your own risk. I would suggest enabling mods one by one to find the culprit and letting the creator know so he can check.
-
Yes, all the mods in the modstation are specifically investigated by us to make sure they comply with our fair-play policy - they are good to use. The same goes for any other mods available in the official forums.
