    Guys, just to reiterate, this does not affect any situation where you are not detected when initially firing - in those cases your bloom will immediately reset. This only affects situations in which you got the gun bloom due to being detected when firing and then subsequently breaking line of sight. Right now your gun bloom would immediately reset, following 8.0 it will revert to the intended mechanic where you keep your extended gun bloom for the full duration. We'll try and get a devblog out with clarification on why we made the change out in the next few days - as you can imagine things are a bit hectic right around now.

  7. We will be removing the following operations from rotation for the time being: Cherry Blossom Operation Dynamo The Ultimate Frontier Raptor Rescue Hermes All others will remain for now while we work on re-implementing the removed ones.

  9. Yes, there will be free upgrade dismounting in addition to the "auto-dismount". As for the operations with CVs, they will be removed for the time being until we can teach the bots how to fly :P

    That doesn't really contribute anything to the discussion at hand though, does it? Everyone has a different approach to the game and it is only fair that they suggest means of making some of the higher-end content more accessible to more people. We are not a game populated by students and/or kids that have loads of time to play. Our average player is probably more like me, who is glad to get a few hours of gaming done while juggling a job, kids and wife - and I for one have no issue with making steel more accessible. The above being said, it comes with a caveat. It cannot be too easy, or it would devalue the currency as an end-game goal to motivate people to play all the battles needed. How exactly would you improve the system to make it fairer but still motivate people to log in and play for the rewards?

    Also: To shed some more light onto the motivation behind this decision. Pre-rework AA worked in the same manner for all ships: the closer you get to a ship, the more damage you took. The AA zone separation in 0.8.0 was done for balance reasons and to enable us to adjust the zones individually. This lets us give ships a distinct AA "flavour". You can have ships that are great at providing screening long-range AA fire for allies and conversely also ships that are deadly when solo and hard to attack individually. At the moment the 0.8.0 AA settings are mainly based around the caliber and amount of AA guns each ship carries, but going forward we'll likely make more adjustments and tweaks to individual ships to make their AA "flavour" more distinctive. I know if is less intuitive this way, but I think it will let us give a lot more depth to the AA system than if we went with the "you come close, you die" approach :)

  15. Please note that the information in the Development Blog is preliminary. We've finished some additional work on improving visual and technical aspects of the Cross Realm matchmaking. Soon there will be another Cross Realm testing of Clan Battles season. Permanent camouflages for the Błyskawica DD and the Implacable CV have been added in the game. -3% detectability range by sea; -4% dispersion of shells fired by the enemy attacking your ship; -10% cost of the ship’s post-battle service; +50% XP per battle. The London port has taken on a winter look. The Saint Petersburg port will be decorated and a «February 23» patch has been added for the Defender of the Fatherland Day. The location and height of the islands on the Shards map have been changed: - The islands near the central cap are now more equivalent for both teams. Their location will allow cruisers and destroyers to effectively hold the cap after capturing one of the flanks by teammates. - Caps on the flanks got more Islands for cover and became easier to capture from the map center. - Groups of islands that were placed away from the caps, have been removed. There are two large islands in the North-Eastern and South-Western parts of the map, behind which an aircraft carrier can comfortably stay, and several medium-sized Islands on the way to the caps. These islands will help defend the direction and will be useful to ships, which cover the allies who are capturing control points.

  17. Please note that the information in the Development Blog is preliminary. «Naval aviation» collection has been added to the game. It consists of 4 pages of items related to naval aviation like planes, landing signal officers and British CV emblems. Two temporary resources (Crowns and Florins) and a category are added to the Arsenal. You can exchange these resources for signals, camouflages, Warships Premium Account or British tier IV, VI and VIII CVs. You can get Crowns in 0.8.1 update for completing missions and directives of the "Fly! Strike! Win!" event, and Florins for missions and from "Air Supply" containers. Both temporary resources are necessary to get British CV packs. Both resources will be available in the Arsenal at least till the 0.8.2 update. Afterwards they can be exchanged for other in-game currency. There are two new "Air Supply" containers - standard and premium. You can get signals, camouflages, Florins and items from "Naval aviation" collection. Also you have a chance to get one of the British ships: Edinburgh tier VIII, Hood tier VII, Duke of York tier VII, Vanguard tier VIII. These containers can be obtained by completing missions of the "Fly! Strike! Win!" directives. Following feedback, we are pleased to announce that the possibility to open all the containers at once has been added. Rewards that are obtained are sorted, summed and shown on a separate screen.

Also, if you research Midway before the update you can buy her and also have the choice to get a free XP refund for her if you don't like the gameplay. We don't want to have the CVs fighting their own private air battle, I don't see fighters coming back but we will see.

    Took some poking around, but I haz an answer If all AA guns for any particular zone are wiped out, that zone will have no AA fire at all. This means a ship that loses its dedicated short-range guns would then have a safe zone close to the ship. For Jean-Bart the situation is the same, if she loses all of her medium range AA guns, she will have no short or medium AA at all.

    It's too early to really talk about what the alternate branches could look like, but we really don't want to do an air supremacy focused CV as that will just bring us back to the situation we have now, where one CV can be entirely negated in the game. Let's wait and see! :)
