US CVs help - Midway and Lexington

Sorry for not playing Midway before I had it, I should've travelled back in time. The questions are TLDR if you are illiterate and can't focus for more than one minute on a thing, all the text is just context to better understnad my problem Lmao I could just ask "How to play cv's I suck at them" and someone would reply "Lmao git gud", same energy in the thread
  3. Since the game's rework I've been having a pickle with the CVs - I like them because these ships are very different than the regular ones. However the more I play them (That is: The higher tier I play on) the harder it gets. It was fine on Langley and Ranger because I felt that what I was doing had good impact on the game. When I got my hands on Lexington I felt bad as hell about it's performance and immediately bought a 10 skill points captain in exchange for Ironium to have an adventage. That wasn't enough. I bought all the ship's advancements and fighters variations and only then it became to be useful. Of course I became better (Learned the AA of enemy ships and few tricks) and all, but I can't deny that the most of my performance is decided on what I've bought. I accepted, or rather tried to tolerate that t8 CVs were literally unable to do anything against any t10 ship (Khabarovsk literally deleted all my fighters first game in a blink of an eye) and has to focus on T8's and T9's. Of course games at T6 lvl weren't that hard and I could get even nearly 300K damage in one. I thought it would get better when I'd get my hands on Midway - unofrtunately it is not the case. I am in the middle of collecting his upgrades (The special upgrade doesn't seem too shiny, 30% more HP just changes dying in 5 seconds to dying in 6.5 seconds) and at 15 skill points captain (all defensive perks, torps speed and demolition expert) and I just can't help it but feel like this ship is garbage really. Most of ships delete me right away before I can even attack them. To say the least, I start every game with torps and out of 4 charges I drop 3 to the ocean and drop one from behind a hill or on an alone ship, mostly getting 2 to 3 torp hits. Good and reliable strat, I think. Also, I am not very very keen on the game and I play only few games a day, it's my first T10 ship. And I generally speaking have no idea how people on tier higher than t8 can have the audacity to talk about how OP cv's are. They can literally say "Oh [edited], Cv's are so op" and then destroy 8 out of 9 fighters before I even get in an effective range. I can't help but feel useless and annoyed by this. I am basically wasting my time and doing 80-120k dmg every game. The fact that T10 battleships are sometimes more reversible than T8 cruisers doesn't help either. Therefore I would like to ask you guys a question. A few questions, really. 1. How to avoid damage (Expect for attacking lone targets and using all available defensive perks)? 2. How to get more credits (More general question, but expect for clan battles and Lexington games [earning safely 100-200K each] I have no clue on that)? 3. What ships to avoid? On T8 it's clear - Richelieu, Z destroyers, Chapayev are easy, Tirpitz, Bismarck, Monarch are medium and Cleveland, Carolina and Edinburgh are hard to play against. But on T10 it feels like every single ship has 240mm AA guns that deletes all fighters in a second. 4. Generally speaking, any tips or strats to play Midway and other carriers? I've spent huge amount of time on playing them but it appears that I'm not good enough. It might not be my cup of tea - and I would not like to waste my time if I can't really play cv's. I'd just stick to Lexington I genuinely love to play and earn money credits with. I'd mostly mourn over Cybermedes 5. How to turn on enemy ships' damage? Alternative HUD doesn't show it and I've been told that I'm crap because enemy's carrier did more than me. I ignored that message but couldn't help but wonder if I can see that on my HUD too.
  4. Using AP on anything appears to be useless since even if I hit them with all 6 they will - as I wrote - repell with 33 of their shots without any problem and deal higher % of my HP than it is even possible with one barrage for me. Other thing is potential of critical citadel hit. It is not quite big chance since I have 6 shots - even 1st tier ship will deal more if it hits citadel than any shot of any tier is capable if he doesn't I mean hitting citadel is pure luck - even if you are not moving and so does target and you aim perfectly the place of citadel, having x-ray with armor of that ship in 2nd hand - 3 shots of 4 I am not able to hit citadel and half of shots goes to water. However, sometimes it happens that I hit 2 at once or hit few times a row. Or not hit anything for lodsa shots. Just played a game and had situation just like this - lower tier of ship (Cruiser) kept shoting me, dealing hilarious ammount of damage with each shot, yet he twice (2/30+ shots) hit citadel. Though I hit his citadel once - I was dead and couldn't even attack him 2 times because of this retarded cooldown time. Appears like I will hardly come back to this ship, after like 12 games games I still can't even achieve XP needed for 1st barrage upgrade and I hardly get 10-20 hits whole game (every other ship appear to always hit citadel with their strategy of sinking ships with hot iron) and so far I achieved 3 citadel hits
  5. So I have played this game for a while and since Japanese ship is on the left of lobby I play only that nation. Sometimes I switch to Britain/America if I die quick or game lasts long. When I upgraded my cruiser at level 1, 2, 3 - it was just like "Okay, more power, stronger enemies - it is a deal now!". But since I upgraded ship to level 5 it feels more like "Damn, my ship sucks, I can hardly fire one barrage and I die". Can anyone explain me this? I agree, basic stats are upgraded. Now let's see how it looks It clearly shows one thing - in time of Furutaka's one barrage that can deal up to 4500 Kuma would shoot 3 barrages that'd deal up to 8100 damage. So, if Kuma would be fighting Furutaka - Furutaka'd need 6 barrages (that is - 132 seconds) and Kuma'd need 11 barrages (That is - 77 seconds). Not to mention that Furutaka's 6 shots in 22 s. have less chance to hit citadel in comparision to 33 shots in 22 s. of Kuma's... Isn't upgrading ship supposed to upgrade ship? Or am I missing something?

How do I play this game

Hello there. Could anyone tell me how much it costs to buy shells or guns that are not retarded and sometimes appear to follow damn crosshair? I played this game for a while and I committed several mental suicides due to fact that I can't do sheet about any ship around. After first game I realised how to aim to have chance (Chance, best way to describe this) of hitting enemy. Press alt, you see travel time and distance, you can guess what will happen if you shoot. Alright, my 3 gun barrage is gone for a 2KM distance. One shell hit, indeed, but it appears somehow this retarded ship made all damage bounce, even though it flew like 70-55 degree and should have get into ship and explode. That is biggest problem, if you aim your barrage at any target which is far enough to make it impossible to count it's damn pixels on texture (I mean - if he is not strictly boarding you with small pirates, which would be most effective attack for me). Other case - Cruiser with 9 guns, distance is 5KM (Less than half "range" ship has). 3-4 seconds are enough to make this distance. Alright, let's shoot... Well, one or two shells did not go radically right or left but strictly where you aimed, nevertheless you didn't hit citadel with any of shots. One did hit water, the other hit just below enemy ship's barrage level. Brilliant, 4/9 shots hit even if aimed perfectly to make crap work. It doesn't, by the way. But hey, there is their armadillo shooting you with ONE SHELL IN YOUR DAMN BACK AND DEALING 5 THOUSAND DAMAGE, SETTING FIRE, BREAKING YOUR TURBINES and letting your ship flood. Press R, everything is normal. But what? 2 mine barrages and here comes another AP shot (Armordillo literally shot one shell to me) destroying me. It was damn deck hit, I bet my stem cell would broke with it since it literally hit the stem. Since this I want to ask you a question - where to aim and which shells use? I already tried aiming at the sea level, little over sea level, just below barrage line, a little beneath stem cells - I could indeed hit the middle of ship yet citadel appears to be untouchable. And yes, I've read lodsa threads explaining how to aim and how to shoot, but it appears game changed upside-down since their release in late 2016.
