  1. I mean Alaska is more expensive, than the Scamarov. So if it drops instead of a low tier premium, they lose money. Nonetheless a scam is a scam.
  2. Again, if you look closely you can see, that this ship came from a supercontainer. He got this one, because he already has the rest from the short list.

    General CV related discussions.

Hello people! After reading throught the comments i would like to share my thoughts as well. First of all to all the trolls, if you have nothing constructive to say, why the hell are you even posting on this thread? You come here, post your smart-[edited]comments only because during your last game you were focused by the CV. How mature of you.... Anyway. Yes the balance s*cks. But its far from the state, most people would like to depict. Note that am a part-time CV players myself, to be more precise i only play the GZ :) Flak is a joke. Unless i attack a cluster of ships or dedicated AA ships i get get through the flak zone without taking any damage. Since elevation matters as well i can even time my strike to fly under the puffs or use an island to fly over them. I think a fair solution would be a balance similar to dodging fast, Halland torps with cruisers :D . If you are good you can do it without taking damage, but every now and then you eat one and it hurts. Right now its too predictable, needs to be more random and the whole flak zone should be wider. The constant AA damage is bullscr*p (but i am not sure the engine could handle AA projectiles like WT does), but it could work. What i would like to see is a system where you can scare away planes or waste their time. Basically buff the sector reinforcement and i mean really buff it. Higher damage multiplier, longer duration, but longer cooldown as well. Basically make it the "angling against CV" mechanic. What i mean is -> When you play a BB and you see your target angle against you, you have 3 choices: A. switch to HE, which means 15-30 sec reload time B. fire your AP anyways and pray for good RNG, which can mean anything from cits to zero damage C. look for another target What do i mean by "angling against CVs"? You see the enemy planes approaching, you try to predict their attack vector and fire up your sector reinforcement, thus making a strong AA screen either port or starboard side. Now the CV has the same options like the BB in my previous example: A. try to go around and attack you from the other side or simply wait for your lets say 20 secs reinforcement time to run out, aka wasted time like BB reload B. attack anyway, which could cause serious losses, but if the planes gets through they can still deal dmg, aka RNG C. look for another target I think spotting will be fine after the changes they annouced. I really dont understand DD players compaining about it btw. One of a CV's main job is to spot for the team. Yeah fighters shouldnt be able to spot anyting, but when a Smolensk focuses you, you will slowly burn down, unless you do something bout it. If a Slava keeps lobbing AP at you, you will die, unless you do something about it. And if a CV focuses you, yeah you will be spotted and you will die, unless you do something about it. Asking for undisturbed stealth torping or smoked up HE spam gameplay is pure bullcr*p. Also i think i speak in the name of every single CV player, we did not ask for this shitty simplified system where we either control our ship or a squadron. Not to mention the automatic consumables. I would sell my kidney for a system where i can freely switch between the two any time. The autopilot killed me more times than i can count and i cant even zoom in to plot more precise courses like in the old system. So please stop the "iTs eAsY, bEcaUse tHeY aRe sTuPId" argument. Sail safe Captains.

    General CV related discussions.

Hey people! I would like to share my insights concerning CVs. I only play the GZ, because its pretty versatile so all of my experience is based on GZ gameplay (plus its a meme). I also have some ideas to improve and deepen CV gameplay. CVs are glasscannons. They can deal huge amounts of dmg, but (most of them ) are fkd when they get into firing range of enemy ships. Players tend to focus them, so good positioning is key, which also affects squadron flight times. And since the autopilot is dumb as f*ck, you have to pay extra attention to your ship's path. Their other role is surveillance. And thats whre one of the anti-cv complaints originates. DD players complain about how op the planes detection range is and how unfair this is to them. Yeah its easy to detect destroyers, because most of the DD captains are way too predictable and i know where to look for them. I mean most of them simply rush to a point in a straight line with AA guns blazing and without any support whatsoever. In many occasions i would have missed a destroyer, if they had not left their AA turned on. Meanwhile experienced DD players take alternative routes, turn off their AA, ask for help from their CV or simply wait in friendly AA cover until the enemy CV finishes it's first sweep of the map. So the situation is much more balanced, than people tend to describe. IDEA: slightly reduce the squadron's detection range against DDs, but give CV-s a deployable "Recon plane" ability which is immune to ship AA (high altitude), but can be killed with fighters and has a moderate uptime. It would circle around an area and periodicly (because clouds) reveal it. Also it's deployment range would be tied to the CV's detection range. Possible effects: -fewer DD detections by squadrons-> less crying -an extra job for CVs to kill recon planes-> less dps-> less crying - since recon plane's range would be limited -> less stationary and more mobile CVs in order to use it effectively Now about the general state of AA. Its unbalanced and it sucks. -lower tier AA is too weak (not counting dedicated AA ships)[compared to the GZ's planes] -higher tier AA is too strong (not as unbalanced as the former) -the flak mechanic is ok and cool, but it is predictable, since the explosions are based on your flightpath, also the flak zone can be skipped by a predrop boost. So its pretty easy to avoid. The whole constant AA damage values has to be rebalanced in order to reduce the immense gap between tier 7 and 9 AA. Flak has to be a bit more random. Squadron predrop boost has to be removed, since its basically cheesing. Terrain AA block has to be more logical. And finally a thing i find very annoying: CVs cant prioritise AA when they control a squadron. So again these are my thoughts from a CV player's perspective. I am curious about your opinions.

    0.9.2 - European Destroyers: Part 1

While i understood the rage towards the Payto Rico, i am confused why people cry so much about this event. First of all, crying about free stuff is just dumb. Secondly, yes the first directive was a pain in the aft, but even me a so called weekend warrior could do it in 2 or 3 days. Furthermore, RNG cant be so bad when 6/8 or 4/6 of the DDs in every game are the promo ships. At the end of the third directive, i got 2 of the DDs and have 120 tokens left as well for the 3rd one. Finally these ships are not so bad at all. The guns are ok, the AA is ok, the torps are great if you know how to use them, and the lower hp and lack of smokescreen can be compensated with smart maneuvering.
  6. Greetings! Tired of people spamming HE on BBs while the enemy offers a juicy broadside? Tired of AP spamming on well-angled armour plates? I you are, then i am your man. Because i play CV-s.... Jokes aside i am an experienced player with cca. 2 years of gametime, still far from a pro. I prefer ze german shipz, DD-s the least. (And yeah i love the Graf) Looking for casual gameplay mainly, but i have played some ranked in the past as well. I am not a big voicechatter though. Cool clannames are a + :)

    Advanced CV guide

In my first (and only GZ :D) replay i have uploaded a few weeks ago there is a ~400HP Königsberg or Nürnberg i try to sink. I go back twice with my dive bombers (i was out of attack planes), release my bombs spot on and all of them misses. So yeah those planes are either score double cits or miss xD
  8. I guess this guy is just mad, because he cant cross-torp BB-s anymore. Yeah buddy, the times are gone when you could delete 70% of the BB-s healthpool with one torpedo run. Btw other than balance issues i really dont know, what is your problem with the rework. Yeah multitasking is gone, which sucks, but in the past your only job was to get into a good angle and click twice. Now travel time management is more important (single squadron gameplay) and you have to actually evade enemy fortified AA zones. Looks like a difficulty increase to me.

    Advanced CV guide

Hey! First of all thank you for the guide. I was looking for a decent one for days :D I never played much CV in the past, though i liked the RTS style before the rework. Though for me it felt pretty basic. So a few weeks ago i bought the Zepp and started to play and ENJOY CV gameplay. I use a somewhat meme build, actively engaging DD-s in cqb, brawling with weakened cruisers (even BBs sometimes) to maximaze the usage of my secondaries and tankiness. So i have two questions about CV gameplay: 1. what is considered a good amount of DMG/game? Usually i am around 60-80k in tier 7-8 battles (sometimes i go over 120k https://replayswows.com/replay/75155#stats), but in tier 9 and 10 battles i struggle heavily. I know usefulness cannot be measured in dmg, but a rough estimate would be nice :) 2. This "slingshot" attack. Is it considered cheesing among the community? I mean you exploit a game mechanic. If its accepted as a valid tactic, then i am ok using it, but i really dont want to "cheat". Thx :D
