Demo expert for USN DDs. With the slow shell velocity AFT will be useless against any target that isnt stationary. USN DDs are best used at closer ranges anyway. Your fire chance is increased by 60% on USN DDs to 8%. With Demo expert you increase your damage output by setting more fires. Try and target ships that have already used their repair, such as BBs you hit with torpedoes. USN DDs also have a decent stealth fire buffer once you get concealment expert. Well except the Mahan.

It is a visual error. It is subtracting the 3% from your detection range without removing the previous camos bonus.

Ships in a division have a higher MM weight, so I would say MM was correct. -

Sorry to tell you it wont be seals getting the Saipan, as it will be the first ship sold through the new personal offer system. It is supposed to go on sale in NA later this month, no infor for EU.

Well these are DDs we are talking about. The longest reloading gun wise is the Wakatake with a 12s reload time.

Smoke isnt shown whe aim down sights, it also is the clearest when you are the one in the smoke. Did you see him as soon as he was spotted? If you were both headed towards each other you might not have noticed until he was 4km away. Other than those two I caant think of anything else.

The Gearing also has a minimum of 5.9km detection range. Have you got a replay? It is hard to say otherwise, since you say there was no smoke.

The personal offer system was added to the client last patch. NA is getting the Saipan later this month which will be using the system. Might be the test run like SEA got the Project R before other servers.

Had a game with 2 DDs on each team yesterday. Was the most boring game I ever played, both teams BBs sat back at their own caps 20km at least away from each other. Capping DDs isent necessarily going to bring about aggressive dynamic and exciting gameplay.

- Dev design choice - Spotting system isn't the same as WoT, some sort of spotting rewards might be coming in the future. - BBs were inaccurate - Dev balance choice, BBs can heal pretty much all fire damage they take.

Shows how much you know about DDs. DDs can definitely detonate, and probably are the class that gets detonated the most. You don't even need to play DDs to know this, just paying attention in game will tell you this. What other misconceptions do you have?

I have been playing DDs since the start of the OBT, when they were in such a great state, I am not going to stop because of what you want. You havent played a single game in a DD which explains a lot as well.

I had that feeling. In WoT the HP difference between LT and HT is a few hundred, In WoWS the HP difference between DD and BB is a few ten thousand. Which is quite a big difference. It does do something, a lot of damage to the DD.

Isnt that more due to the low amount of hp that DDs have rather than them dealing a lot of damage. DDs are designed to be good against BBs in this game and CAs arent. DDs cant deal with CAs with the same effectiveness as BBs. Insane DPM? No, and that is theoretical, they have quite low actual DPM. What DDs are you saying have insane DPM?

Finished a game in my Fletcher with one turret and one torpedo launcher. Was fun.

Maybe this is the nation numbers balancing that they introduced at work. Setting fires on BBs after they repair flooding is a great way to do damage as a USN DD. Demo Expert is the skill you should get at level 4. Your AP can deal decent damage to CAs showing broadside (especially German CAs). HE when against everything else.

Could you show us the damage screen? 8 torpedo and 33 gun hits tell us nothing damage wise. A single torpedo from the Shimakaze costs 1200 credits. Guessing from your resupply costs you probably fired at least 75 torpedoes in this game (90,000 credits). Of those 75 torpedoes 8 hit (a bit over 10%). How much damage they did and to what targets is something you arent telling us 2 of them could have hit 1hp targets giving you your 2 kills for all we know from what you are telling us.
