Battleship players are ruining the mid tier gameplay as much as DDs are ruining high tier.

Why will capping DDs numbers fix high tier gameplay? The games that I have played with 3 or less DDs aside are just as passive as those with 5 or 6 aside. -

Radar an option against the Scout plane and Catapult fighter which high tier RU CAs cant have. T-Virus, Defensive fire I assume is an option against Hydro-acoustic search.

Yes and no. I'm sure by now you have had games in your Hatsuharu where you can't land a torpedo hit to save your life, well you get those in the Shimakaze too and it is much worse. I enjoy the strategic element, but the Shimakaze lack of versatility is the main problem for me.

You can play around radar most of the time. A good number of the games I have played recently have had only IJN and KM CAs.

Increase the number of consumables you have. Consumables are things like Smoke, BB repair, Hydro-acoustic, Radar, Catapult Fighters. -

Still dont like the fact that radar spots through islands. The Des Moines can be quite scary now when within 10km, spotted for 40s with its RoF. -
I know that, but it is still DPM that matters most in a DD fight. And the shell arc of USN DDs isnt as bad as everyone makes out.

DD fights are more about DPM than alpha. Unless the Shimakaze is going to sink the other DD in one or two salvo the Shimakaze is going to take a lot of damage. Tooling an IJN DD towards guns is good for stealth fire against CAs and BBs, it will still come off worse against a USN DD. I got into a gun fight with a half health Gearing in my full HP with survival expert Shimakaze, I sunk him but I was left on less than half HP myself.

Wait till they hear they are actually buffing stealth fire. Expecting a fair fight is the wrong thing to expect.

You get that option on higher tier BBs and CAs.

Our average damage is about the same, I only have 18 games played in the Tashkent so far so I expect my winrate will go down as well. But I will be looking forward to the Udaloi.

I hope so the Tashkent is still a bit of a downgrade from the nerfed Kiev.

In a one on one DD gun fight the USN DD should win the majority of the time. USN DDs have similar HP to IJN DDs one tier higher. They also have about twice the DPM, despite having less guns. If we include torpedoes the USN DD should still win. With their fat turret turn time they can easily turn during the engagement and keep most of their guns on target. The fire arc can be dealt with by leading shots a bit more and paying attention to their turns. The problem with USN DDs countering IJN DDs is that it is rarely a one on one fight. CAs BBs and other DDs are all to happy to shoot at an enemy DD. The introduction of radar doesn't help this, now it makes it harder for a DD to disengage if the is a USN or VMF CA nearby.

It was taken out a while ago. I think it is 0.9 times the torpedo damage now to the midsection of a DD.
