AFT is definitely worth taking. AP seems to make up a good part of my damage so I dont use DE. i find CE useful, allowing you to support friendly DDs from closer ranges and prevents Zaos from nearly out-spotting you.

I dont expect any help from CVs on my team, doesnt matter if they are strike or not. Playing USN and RU DDs much more lately, being spotted isnt as big of a problem as it is for IJN DDs. Saipans arent too bad to play against either as a DD. It is the high tier IJN CVs that can cause problems.

Nice to hear this coming from they guy who sat his Kiev behind an island for most of a ranked match. That late game might not come if your teams DDs cannot contest points because of the enemy CV having air superiority. -
For some reason the Karlsruhe was in my head. 105mm HE, beats the Yamato detonated by the Udalois 130mm HE.
