  1. Yeah, It's a plausible explanation. But that "joke" is very annoying when you have spent two days going up and down ranks 9 and 10.
  2. Well, [edited] aside, the next game was a defeat, and... And now I'm credited rank 8... Something is not working properly in this ranked system.

  6. Since patch 5.1, I've seen how my average damage was going lower and lower. AP does 0 damage constantly, HE does nothing... Games with hundreds of hits end with 20k damage if you're lucky enough to sink a destroyer. From 40k average to current 35k and going down with every game. And then, citadeled left and right, up and down. No matter how you position your ship or how much you try to dodge, every BB or CA salvo is a citadel. It was not like this when I started playing it.

    too many island on the maps

    I've complained about the same stuff since the very moment I had access to the game in one of the weekend tests in January. Islands in the maps are OK, too many islands is stupid, and most maps are incredibly unrealistic due to that. The only map I think it's quite realistic is Solomon Islands. There are islands, but not too many. I still don't see the point of the "sand banks" in each of the spawn points, but I like that map.

    I have nothing against Ocean as a map, but yesterday I got it 4 or 5 times in a row in ranked battles. It gets repetitive and boring.

    I thought it was mandatory to guess the secret ship. I had 12/13 guessed from the very beginning, but never sent due to the rules being very clear.

    You play at early morning times. Not enough players in the server. Even less people playing ranked battles. Deal with it.

    Cleveland: out of reach....?

    Enjoy Omaha while you can. Cleveland might be a better ship, but you probably won't enjoy it as much. And not only because of its horrific way of shooting, but because Cleveland faces harder, faster and better armed tier 8 battleships which get 0 damage from its pitiful 6in shells while have no problems themselves wrecking Cleveland in one well aimed salvo.

    2 Brothers is one of the maps that suffered changes in the position of islands in the 5.1 patch. Maybe they forgot to move something in the collision model. Guess that a replay or a video of the exact place where it happens could help to solve the bug.

    Yep, it worked. I had to try different numbers (went with 40 first, 30 then), but at 20 it stopped doing those wonky things. Tried to push it to 25 but it started again. And the best is that I don't seem to have any penalties in battle, everything works just as it did before with the difference that the FPS counter is not going up and down all the time. Thanks a lot for the tip .

  21. I think that as soon as someone checks a player name, this account is tracked. No need to register. If i want to know Jingles (to say a famous name) stats and do it through that website, Jingles account is from then on tracked.
  22. Remember that Beta tester status could be bought for quite some time, and many of those probably did just the minimum requirements of 50 battles to get the bonus ship.

    The age of the ship has nothing to see with its placement in the tiers. The fact is that Tromp is a much smaller ship, with less armament and armour than De Ruyter, so no, it won't be at a higher tier. Just by chance, Yubari was one of the first ships I modeled in 3D for Silent Hunter IV, and Tromp was the last I was working on when I stopped doing mods for that game. Both models are at about the same scale: As you can see, height difference is negligible, and the masts are higher on Tromp. So the detectability should be very similar if bridges are taken into account, or bigger on Tromp if it depends on mast height.

    German Cruisers

    There are two different Emdens (there are even more).The Emden with 105mm guns is a sistership to the tier 2 Dresden, and was sunk at the beginning of WWI, after a successful career as a corsair ship. The Emden we're talking to substitute the Karlsruhe is a 1925 ship armed with 150mm guns.

    The Isaac Sweers was a Callenburgh-class destroyer. Modified due to circumstances, but still a Callenburgh. Yubari is of a size similar to Tromp and has a 9.9Km detectability range, so I don't think so.
