If there's a ship that has been nerfed patch after patch since the very beginning, that has been Cleveland. Directly or indirectly: the gun's arch first, then the HE shell damage, later they fixed Clev's split citadel, now the captain skills... -

You can consistently hit BBs at long distances with a Cleveland. And it just takes RNG to spark a fire, even if the HE shell doesn't do damage, the fire potentially does. The longer the range you can do this, the more potential targets for your guns, and more time to evade counterfire. -

Obviously all light cruisers that used to take advantage of the expert marksman and the basic and advanced fire training captain skills have had a reduction of average damage. -
Just for the record, I just finished the Admiral Hipper grind in the Yorck, and my opinion is still the same. I love this ship Something I didn't notice before the last games I've played, is that its AAA is quite good. While I've played most games with hydroacustic search+fighter, I mounted the AA boost+fighter today foreseeing a big number of Saipan carriers and was pleasantly surprised with two games with 10 and 19 planes shot down. I don't even have Basic Fire Training (let alone AFT). I'll definitely keep this ship, even though it's not a historical one.

Oh, great reasoning. Since ships cant shoot down planes (utter lie) let's add some tier 9 planes. They won't notice the difference (must be because their torps and bombs do the same damage as tier 5 planes).

Assigning tier 9 planes to a tier 7 CV is moronic from the start. I can imagine that tier 5 battleship attacked by planes he and his escorting cruisers can't even scratch. Not a surprise given that all carrier gameplay development in this game is like that from the very beginning.

I've played about 4000k games up to now. I've done this probably about 3 times in total. The problem is WG and his MM that puts you constantly in games +2 , not me. Games on top tier? 1/2 out of every 10 or so... (Tonight it has happened again with Murmansk: all 3 games I've played, in tier 7 battles. Thank god Murmansk is not Karlsruhe) -

I've left games right after seeing the MM, when I was really pissed off by continually having tier+2 games in a ship than can hardly fight in its own battle tier (I remember the pre-buff Karlsruhe grind as a nightmare). I have better things to do than wasting my time in a 10-15 minutes battle where I have to hide all the time or being wrecked in 2 salvoes. -
If that was true, currently we would have the expected time of release by 2157 .

Battleship players are ruining the mid tier gameplay as much as DDs are ruining high tier.

Don't know where you get those numbers, but a penetrating shot of a NM is about 4000 damage. 1000 damage are overpenetrations. -
In average damage Kirov is quite ahead of any of its regular tier 5 opponents, so it must not be so awful..

Warspite's current 2pdr octuple mount has 2.5 km range and a DPS of 79

It's more than enough advantage. When Warspite is in range it could have already lost 1/3 of his health. Unless end of the game with no other ships detecting it, Warspite is toasted.

Yeah, the Scottish guy was Ectar. He used to play a lot of WoWs during closed beta, but as a typical WG guy, he went back to his natural habitat, WoT.

Not at all. New Mexico will rip Warspite 8/10 times, and Fuso probably 9/10, if captains have similar knowledge of their ships.

Problem is that right now you don't fight New Mexicos and Fusos. You're matched all the time vs higher tier Battleships: Amagis, Nagatos, Colorados. It's really painful to play right now.

OMG, what a terrible broadcast... cameras flying all the time not letting you see anything, more plane fights than ships... If they wanted to promote WoWs among the WoT fans, they did a very poor job. -

What in part is ruining this game is the concept of "citadel hit". One single shot taking one third or half of a cruiser's health is against any reasonable gameplay. Shots into citadel should take the magazines (that would be a detonation), or boilers or engines out, but damage wise they should be just like any other penetrating shot. They had to remove the citadels from destroyers, and they should do the same with the rest of ships. -
A) Played six games with Myoko (all but one in tier+1 and +2) B) Lost all but one. Specially painful the last one in which we had killed more ships than the enemy , but our 4 destroyers were absolutely incapable of getting close to the cap zones. C) Closed the game

Why Atlanta has only 2 consumables instead of 3 of tier VII ?
