Favorite shipgirl (Kancolle,Azur lane, Arpeggio of blue steel,Haifuri)
Pururut replied to Kancolle_Kongou's topic in Off-Topic
Didnt even know reasonable discussion took place there. Personally I use it for collecting pictures of ship sterns and browsing the occasional update preview. I am a bit mixed about the latest update and the overall status of Azur Lane. The new DDG retrofits pretty much opened the Pandoras Box in terms of new mechanics and content. FRAM conversions, cold war ships, jets, SAMs, CIWS, ASROC... I think what we currently consider as end game will drastically change soon. I am somewhat fine with that but the path Yostar is taking is creating this avalanche. I used to be semi-aware of it but once I started creating custom historical fleets I realized the severity of the issue. Most of the elite, rare and normal rated ships are hopelessly obsolete with a small minority being feasable. I wish Yostar would at least renovate the skills of these ships so that they would have a purpose besides sitting in the secretary chair or being dockyard decoration. -
Agincourt is for two things; shredding DDs via secondaries and obliterating cruisers. I always feel a certain mix of pleasure and disgust whenever I catch a clueless Furutaka or Trento at sub 10km with a 14 gun broadside.

My long lost luck since Shinano is back... 110 pulls and got everything. Too bad most of them dont stand out or are likeable; Hutten in particular. At least she isnt Kaga; possibly the only character in any franchise that I truly despise. Flandre with the mandatory Touhou camo. Bonus points for having Remilia in the camo sort of like the one with Abruzzi and Garibaldi. Anything else I dont mind. -

I am slightly disappointed at Yostar for not getting Alaska but Hutten is also fine especially with that art. Just one thing though; why is Hutten a UR ship while FdG is PR? Both should be H-39s and while we have sister ships with different rarities, sisters with different means of acquisition is bit of an enigma. Edit: Also that QE L2D.... I really want it but oh well... TR decided to become the second coming of Venezuela. Bad timing. -

I spent 50 gems for 800 fuel because my lovely cats decided to nudge my arm just as I ran out of fuel in the mid of a PR grind and was about to decline oil for gem pop up. I returned to main page in shock only to see Akashi staring into my soul with my remaining 605 gems. With that timing... I dont know anymore. Besides that incident I have finished 14-1 and 14-2, returned to 13-4 for Bunker Hill. I use my Boss and Mob fleets interchangeably for Operation Siren but the composition of the former and the healing of latter are both ineffective and kinda harmful in high tier Siren boss fights. it is time for yet another revision. I am thinking of 4 dedicated Operation Siren, 1 PR grind, 1 PVP and 1 historical fleets. I gave up on the main story and World 12 hard mode as the awards are simply not worth it. I stockpiled a decent amount of items required for Gear Lab but I dont know which to craft. I guess I will browse the wiki sometime soon. Man I am envious. 534 ships like I cant bring myself above 200 despite having dockspace for 240. So many ships have such outdated art and skill set that I find it hard to keep them besides a handful few that were part of the fleet in the early days. The devs really need to revisit some of the old elites and SRs to make them relevant again. -
Which ship you never see in game? how make them more popular?
Pururut replied to VedranSeaWolf359's topic in General Discussion
Three words; Duca Degli Abruzzi... the ship is in such a state that Wargaming needs to completely revise it in order to make it popular again. I would give it better HE shells, better firing angles, faster torps with slightly less range, replace that relic of a defensive AA with Italian smoke, lower its citadel to waterline or a sliver above it and change its fore and aft plating to 25mm. Additionally its shell velocity can be made to arch a bit more in order to utilize island cover more efficiently. -
Opened two santa crates handed out by Wargaming, the first and only free ship I got to this day turned out be Agincourt. As a Turk I am not sure whether if I got awarded or bullied.
-
This has been discussed so many times already. I dont know why moderators dont merge it with the previous one but whatever. Turkey doesnt have enough ships for an entire tech tree. It can have its own place in the Pan-Eu tech tree with the battlecruiser Yavuz and destroyers Kocatepe and Gayret. This is unlikely to happen for two reasons; Wargaming ditching the idea of a Pan-Eu tech tree by giving Netherlands and Spain their own tech trees and thus denying the former a lot of ships and blueprints. With tech tree option out of the window the alternative is to make premiums out of them but that doesnt make sense from Wargamings perspective. Turkish playerbase constitute a small percentage of the EU server with a failing economy. If Wargaming releases Yavuz would the average Turkish player be willing to spend money on a pixel ship with %50 monthly inflation? Same goes for Greece more or less. Nonetheless I believe Turkey and Greece will both get at least Yavuz and Averoff someday. Just not today nor tomorrow nor the day after that.

Italy was arguably the weakest major power of its time. There is not much to choose from and the ones available are usually slightly improved repeats of a previous design hence the similarity.
-
It is a 406mm Roma without Romas concealment. I would pass.
-
What new tech tree lines would you like to see in 2022?
Pururut replied to De_Zeeuwse_Admiraliteit's topic in General Discussion
Italian destroyer and light cruiser line, the latter preferably with lowered citadel. -
Interesting read nothing new for me personally but nicely summarized. Personally I would expand a bit on Kanto Earthquake and the subsequent events that occured in Japanese politics and economy that led to military doing its own thing in Asia. Maybe introduce North and Southern advance proposals of Army and Navy and the clash of these policies. The naval rivalry between the Kato Kanji and Kato Tomosaburo and later on Isoroku Yamamoto with regards to naval treaties and how the clash between these two camps shaped the focus on battleships and decisive battle doctrine, detrius from the eve of the 20th century and such.

If masochism is your forte then Tiger 59 is available in the armory. I dont recommend getting premium ships based on your Azur Lane preferences if that is the case. Grind yourself a Baltimore. Good HE, AP, AA, radar, hydro and is more resilient against citadels when angled.

Honestly I dont know anymore. Players like these, existance of a third party snitching website and people seriously using the said website. What a waste of time.

I am planning on skipping the SSSS Gridman collab entirely. I dont think they fit in well with the game and more importantly the cube stockpile is nearly ready for the next UR ship. Finished PR 2 with Georgia and Gascogne. Besides that levelling certain characters necessary for World 14 turned out much easier than I thought thanks to xp boosters. I think I can begin 14-1 by next week. Mandatory Alaska posting; I found this year old leaked equipment post on reddit; https://i.redd.it/hb07ycudvnr11.jpg The only UR capable remaining gear in that list are Yamatos 460mm guns and Alaskas 305mm. Since we have a ratio of 2 Japanese URs to one American combined with the carrier-battleship-destroyer release order that I have mentioned prior can mean one thing; Alaska confirmed. -
Some people dont have their settings configured to see links. You should copy paste the link first as you have done it, then click the link logo (looks like a chain) between the omega and eye symbols on your toolbar. Once there copy paste the link into URL bracket and click insert into post. Like so; https://youtu.be/k7YVxLLIuGM

Not for an extended duration but yes it can. At mid to long ranges it can do the tanking better thanks to its 36mm deck. Nitpicking a bit are we? Alaska doesnt need to overmatch thanks to its improved AP. People rarely get the chance to angle their ship perfectly and the slightest overangling from any ship; cruiser, battleship or carrier will result in 10k volleys into the superstructure or casemate. I would know, done it plenty to a variety of ships in the last couple of days. It cannot but then again if you can find a Soyuz broadside at 10km then he has either messed up or the game is nearly over. It will be spotted either 3.5 km out or 10km out depending on my mood. The funny thing here is that in your examples you always expect the enemy to make an error; yolo rushing in a DD, showing flat broadside at very short ranges in a BB and I understand why. With 380mm guns Jean Bart needs to exploit mistakes. Alaska on the other hand works in all situations. I agree that Alaska cannot utilize ambushes and clap clueless players as well as Jean Bart can but in every other category it is flat out better.

Can Jean Bart spot destroyers in smoke, counter cruisers angled or not, spot torpedoes and be actually helpful to the team?

How Does The Pommern Compare To The Bismarck?
Pururut replied to Sir_Sinksalot's topic in General Discussion
Not weak, ineffective. Turks dont drink green tea in the morning. -
..with no access to sixth upgrades, worse short-mid range AA, one less charge on repair party and most importantly can be directly nerfed by Wargaming at any time. Sorry but even the last bit alone makes it flat out worse. You could have registered your birthday and gotten a cashback coupon which would have made buying Alaska cheaper than directly buying a Congress. Either way what is done is done. For captain skills I would recommend; Tier 1: Grease the Gears, Gun Feeder Tier 2: Priority Target Tier 3: Adrenaline Rush, Heavy AP, Superintendent Tier 4: Concealment Expert, Top Grade Gunner The idea is to play at short to medium ranges, using appropriate ammo type and utilizing your very strong consumable loadout. For equipment; Main Armament Mod 1, Surveillance Radar Mod 1 (Damage Control System Mod 1 if you lack the coal), Aiming Systems Mod 1, Damage Control System Mod 2, Concealment System Mod 1 Good luck.

How Does The Pommern Compare To The Bismarck?
Pururut replied to Sir_Sinksalot's topic in General Discussion
Bismarck is a fail boat and Pommern is even more so. Powerful and inaccurate guns (1.5 sigma jesus christ), good AP without overmatching capabilities, secondaries but terrible concealment, highly AP resistant armor profile with turtleback which happens to be highly vulnerable to HE shells thanks to its large superstructure, hydro but terrible manueverability, torpedoes for brawling... in completely exposed mounts. The strong points simply dont synergize well unless it is a 1 on 1 fight in which German battleships are arguably the best. Unfortunately this is a team game and HE shells dont need to penetrate in order to start a fire and your heavily captain/module reliant oversized battleship can easily be deterred by a single gunboat DD or a light cruiser. Pommern does have a strong point however; HE shells with subpar alpha but %34 fire chance. Combining that with a 12 gun broadside might yield some interesting results. As for why would you play a German ship like a British wannabe, I dont know. Then again I dont know why people bother with German battleships in the first place either. TL;DR Get October Revolution. It is the same as Pommern but without belt armor and torpedoes neither of which will be necessary at tier 5 as long as you angle. -
premium Which Black Ship to buy? (read full question) QUESTION CLOSED
Pururut replied to GrandAdmiralRaeder's question in Q&A Section
Buy more doubloons and get Alaska. If that is not possible, get one of the three; Atago, Cossack or Asashio. Massachusetts is unique but the main battery is inaccurate, secondaries are fragile with poor pen and that armor profile will age like milk with superships. Come to think about it I am also mixed with Asashio... can scout and sink battleships/carriers very effectively but she cant contest caps or fight other destroyers. Too specialized for my taste. Alaska, Atago and Cossack are my final recommendations. They are all very effective ships and will likely continue to be so for the foreseeable future. -
Get yourself a Roma preferably with the Kobayashi camo. Massachusetts and Tirpitz are for people who close into secondary range and get themselves killed 5 minutes into the game.
-
Just because you have 20km range on torpedoes doesnt mean you have to use all of it. Putting the teammates aside, even if your target alters its course and/or speed a bit it is likely that the torpedoes will miss and this doesnt even take having them detected by an unspotted destroyer/cruiser or hydro on their way to the target into account . Also judging from the way you type it sounds like you are staying behind allies in order to fire these long range highly ineffective torpedo barrages. If that is so please dont do that. No one expects an Asashio to go hunt enemy gunboats but it still has 5.4km concealment, more than enough to stay in the front and provide vision.
