To answer your questions; Roma doesnt have SAP ammunition because Wargaming says so. Roma players tend to overextend a bit due to having excellent deck armor and cruiser concealment. Try to stay at mid range during initial phases. As you have experienced Romas’ guns have very high penetration and poor vertical dispersion. Personally I like it; all the frustration from overpenetrations and near misses make it all better when you triple citadel a kiting Albemarle at 15km. If that is not your thing maybe you can try your luck with Vanguard or something. I use it as a DD/CL killer. Guns are easy to aim, ship handles well, the armor is resilient against HE and secondary builds. Just watch the map and try not to overpush. Just like any other ship it wont last long if focused. -
On the bright side now you have Biscuit, fashionable and flirty Italian, SM specialist, the crusader, posh lady with rock tendencies and of course honey. Truly a maşallah moment.

My luck remains cursed. 100 builds and still no Vanguard or Indomitable. On the bright side I finally got Minneapolis and did a full on revision on my fleets. Created the high end equipment from the gear lab. Azuma, Enterprise, Warspite, Nagato, Akaga, Yukikaze, Roon and others were put into reserve. In their stead I introduced ships like Drake, FdG, San Francisco, Potter, Independence, Katsuragi, Shinano, Bristol, Ingraham and Krohnstadt. I have yet to decide whether to have a PVP fleet based on Seydlitz and Lützow or a CL/DD French centric mix or a Russo-Chinese DDG one. While playing I realized something I should have long time ago. Azur Lane is a weird but enjoyable mix of visual novel, gacha and danmaku. I heard somewhere in Reddit that Yostars last resort plan in the case the game didn't make it big was to release it as a VN. I am not into VNs but I really dont understand why is there no Azur Lane danmaku yet. Barrages, history for stories, bullets, skills, music and the girls are all there. -

Ohisashiburi is an interesting artist. His choice of color is usually a bit dull but the lighting and shading are excellent. Not only he makes specialist art of his designs as Lozffvii has mentioned but also makes them continuously. You can check every month and will see new art of Hutten, Abruzzi, Garibaldi, Foch and interestingly Kinu. I wonder if he was involved in her design. Also Ohisashiburi and Cirilla Lin are a match made in heaven. Cirillas art doesn't do lighting as well but his colors are vivid and bright. I follow them both regularly. I also have to mention Dishwasher1910. Haven't seen his Indomitable art before but my god his Yamato design is one for the ages. I know Yostar doesn't reveal ships before their announcement but his design is so good that I wouldn't mind Yostar going with it. -

I saw them just now. I don't know why but there is lately this trend with oath skins. Compared to older oaths, the oath skins for Taihou, Azuma and New Jersey are drawn with rather weird angles. Who would want to see their waifus back especially in an oath skin? I dont get it. Regarding UR reveal, I think that one is rather easy. The hair both in length and art style as well as the hair accessory are very reminiscent of Swiftsure which belongs to the Minatour class. The last three sister ships of which were built as a certain cold war era cruiser, also known as the Tiger class. @LOZFFVII Seems like your wishes have come true... probably. As for the last pic it is obviously a destroyer but I am lost beyond that. -

After all these months I have finally completed a perfect run on normal difficulty in Touhou: Fantastic Danmaku Festival. Then in my infinite wisdom I tried the extra stage and had a first hand lesson on why Remilia keeps her Christmas decoration in the basement. No Alaska for Azur Lane once again. Hopefully they will give us Vanguard or Minatour. Are there any news about PR5 ships? Going back to Touhou, I jumped on the bandwagon and tried Touhou gacha. It was mind boggling. So many events, daily login rewards, currencies and different pray options with different drop rates... I got lost and quit. I wish there was an ingame guide or something as the game looks fun even if you are canonically forced to be a girl. -
Cheshire is a variant of a British heavy cruiser with a main battery comprising 234 mm guns. She was modeled on the basis of cruiser Albemarle. Stopped reading here.

It is the best tier 8 battleship you can buy excluding ships that come back during Black Friday. It has overmatch and even HE resilient armor, decent guns, cruiser concealment, decent speed and horrible AA but who cares when Russian CVs with their one strike capability has rendered AA obsolete over night. It also has objectively the best camouflage in the game, the beer can aka Kobayashi Maru. If Roma fits your play style your options at tier 8 are either Roma specializing in concealment and main guns or Tirpitz with secondaries. People tend to recommend Tirpitz over Roma but the same people also close into secondary range and get farmed by destroyers, light cruisers, carriers and submarines. Just had such a specimen an hour ago. On the side note they also come in Massachusetts flavor during November. Get Roma or grind Vladivostok.

Eagle can deconstruct United States within minutes and there is nothing the latter can do about it. Turns out giving substandard deck armor to a super carrier is kind of a bad idea when the competitor has equally fast HE slinging planes and an actual armored deck. -
A lot has been said with using Japanese heavy cruisers in their original light cruiser gun configuration. Judging from what Wargaming has said about the gun calibers of these ships it is likely that we will have Nagara/Sendai for tier 5, Agano/Ooyodo for tier 6, Chikuma for tier 7 and paper designs for tier 8 to 10. Based on Conways most of the Japanese light cruisers are relatively small, fast and have torpedo armament in exchange for having few batteries and weak armor. I think Wargaming should design the line based on that with emphasis on torpedoes and concealment. We can have Nagara, Sendai, Agano, Ooyodo and Kitakami as the new tier 5 to 10 ships with tier 9 left to Wargaming's imagination. Consumables like smoke and repair can be used to boost survivability and maybe torpedo reload booster can be given to mid tier ships in order to increase their area denial capabilities. Sadly aircraft carriers will always be a problem but not much that can be done about that.

After all the delays from Eid al-Fitr I completed the event and Operation Siren. I shouldn't complain but I am a bit disappointed with Emden and the new ships. The twin ship concept is nice but executed poorly. I was expecting something along these lines with the voice at least; Couldn't find the original full clip...the way their twin nature is revealed through their shadow dance set upon the lake is truly mesmerizing... My second issue is with the events execution. I would have focused on Jutland and maybe, just maybe the Mittelmeer division as a side distraction in the hopes of getting Goeben. Maybe another time. -
I don't think so. Motor torpedo boats, subchasers, minelayers, gunboats and corvettes are all slow vessels with very little firepower. In the case MTBs in particular, WoWS doesn't take guns smaller than 76mm into account. It will just be another submarine class with its only redeeming qualities being relatively fast (sometimes) with good concealment at the expense of everything else. As far as small combat vessels are concerned the most Wargaming can consider are destroyer escorts and frigates. Some can be added as mid tier premiums and even as a sub mini DD tree in the case of Italy; Spica, Pegaso, Ciclone and Ariete classes.

I had submarine torpedoes arm inside my ship. Credit where credits due it has been nearly two decades since I opened chat and went full on caps lock in Turkish. It was a nice change of pace but for gods sake remove the submarines from the game Wargaming. They are not working and we do not want it.

Why should I pay 8800 doubloons for a tier 7 cruiser when I can get the better version of her at tier 8 for 8250 doubloons with the coupon? I would have removed all consumables besides hydro and repair, gave it 32mm deck armor to make it on par with Myoko, lower its concealment to make up for the lack of concealment module, give it 10 km torpedo range in exchange for lowering the torpedo speed and improve its rudder. If I am going to spend money on a ship it should be better than its equal tiered counterpart. Otherwise I can just a buy the weekend bundle and grind its tech tree equivalent. This latest trend of balancing ships around consumables and making them suspicious to direct nerfs must end. It is Wargaming's responsibility to balance their game on the long term and us customers don't have to pay for the companies lack of foresight.

I mostly play Roma and occasionally grind Italian battleships. Might buy Littorio soon to have a back up Roma in case I get sent back to dock early in one.

I remember playing Fantastic Danmaku Festival I and II, Genso Wanderer, Disappearing of Gensokyo, Antinomy of Common Flowers, Wily Beast and the Weakest Creature. Very enjoyable overall except the last title which felt a bit lackluster after Danmaku Festival. -

Just returned to Azur Lane and WoWS after a 2 month break during which I played lots of Touhou games. I don't know why but after the hiatus both games are fun to play once again. I have some cube grinding to do to get prepared for the next UR which will hopefully be Alaska this time. Besides that I have finally obtained my first Wyvern today. Try doing what I have done. Stay away from gacha games for a while. Two of the Touhou games I played was Touhou: Luna Nights and Touhou: Mystias Izakiya. Both are good pixel art titles with strong emphasis on Metroidvania and Diner Dash archetypes respectively, both of which I used to enjoy a lot as a teenager back in the late 2000s. Good old Popcap. Now if I only can find a good tower defense reminiscent of PvZ.. -
Definitely Dido. I want my insecure maid with jealous undertones. That and being Turkish. The context for the latter being having this snack called Dido for nearly 30 years and having not-well-intended desires towards any British character pronouncing it as Dai-Dow instead of Di-Do. Worcestershire syndrome in a nutshell except with half the syllables, double the tension.

I will skip the rerun as I got everything the last time. That aside Chapayev, Rossiya and Tashkent are all must haves especially for newer players. The original run also introduced one of my favourite cosmetics to this very day; Avroras gulag skin. I think I will get the Valentines gift from her this year. How about you guys? Which ship are you going to get the gift from? Cant say much about memes but judging from some of the recurring art in that subreddit, I would say moderation is for decoration purposes only. -

There is no reason to spend so much on dock space if you are not going to be a collector/waifu enthusiast. On the assumption that you dont use ships interchangeably you will only use 42 of them actively (4 META, 2 Campaign and 1 PVP) and another 24 passively on commissions. The remainder of your ships are just there for the sake of being there. The only logical reason to expand dock size beyond 150 in my opinion is for PRs, URs and other ships that show promise. Personally I have 240 and that will very likely be enough until the game shuts down. Do take what I said with a pinch of salt though as the day Perseus and Aquila became lvl 125 was also the day Unicorn and Shouhou vanished despite carrying the fleet for an incredibly long time. If strict quotas, monthly purges and running the anime equivalent of a dictatorship doesnt interest you then gems for slots is probably the better choice. -
Feel free to start your own forum then. That aside Veneto is playable just like any other ship in this game. If you want a decent Italian battleship on the other hand, Roma is the only viable choice.

Realizing that you are playing with a dozen or so strangers whom you dont know a thing about and adjusting your expactations accordingly might be a good start. Free xp your way to North Carolina. US battleship line is dead weight on your team until tier 8.
