Favorite shipgirl (Kancolle,Azur lane, Arpeggio of blue steel,Haifuri)
Pururut replied to Kancolle_Kongou's topic in Off-Topic
I am working home office this week so here are the results; Essex class Yorktown, Essex class Hornet, Oregon City class Northampton, Edsall class Hammann and Independence class Langley. Essentially ships we already have in the game but built under different classes later in the war with similar art. I am not even angry or disappointed for not getting Alaska. I am just very confused. With the way things are going I wont be surprised if the next UR is Iron Blood again. -
People in EU servers like to report more than compliment

Wargaming needs to remove karma. Such a pointless mechanic. -
I got lucky with crates and landed Black and Gröningen. I don't want to learn DD play from scratch at tier 9 so the forum is welcome to recommend tech tree lines up to tier 8 with the goal of getting me into the mind set necessary for the mentioned ships. Due to time restraints I can only do 4 or 5 lines at most. Don't waste your time with in-depth explanations or videos. Just recommendations shall suffice.

[Upcoming Event Preparation] Operation Sea of Stars: Memphis, Helena, Vestal, Anchorage, Memphis (META) & Helena (META) will receive increased experience! -
I bought 40 mega containers and got 12k doubloons, Gröningen, Florida, Prinz Eitel, Mikoyan, Novoros, 1 year of premium account and a metric ton of high rarity boosters, coal and credits. I got 2.5 times my moneys worth and now can skip any grind I want with little to no effort. My only regret is the 75 or so camouflages I got but they can also be sold for credits so cant complain really. The only thing left to do now is to finish the Azur Lane collection, purchase some spare doubloons and get Azuma. Imagine paying for the luxury of being overmatch citadeled into the stratosphere not once but twice.

I will buy Illinois; it is a very unique idea for a battleship. Players will probably don't like having a pseudo-BB occupying a BB slot but that is their problem.
-
If what is said about server transfer and technical difficulties is true then EU players should have been asked whether they wanted the merger or not. I would have rejected it had I known it might have caused problems with the yearly coupon.

I have reached FS 5 with Azuma. It took so long that I don't remember when did I start. Completed PR 3 with Odin, now I am half way through Persival. For some reason Atelier event takes very little oil to grind. I heard something on Reddit about the upcoming update on this Thursday. They are expanding the Gear Lab a bit. Nothing too fancy except the Georgia's 457. I might go for the Le Fantasque guns; need two more for the super destroyer focused French fleet that I have been thinking about. Nearly forgot; I have been looking for another mobile game. Tried Honkai, Genshin, Arknights, Blue Archive, Girls Frontline, Touhou Lost Word; none of them really grew on me. All I want is a game capable of running in the background with some decent art and an active community. Any recommendations? Heard something called Queen's Blade but haven't checked it out yet. Edit 2; Just checked it out... jesus christ. I wont edit it; let it stay there as a reminder to search first, type second. -
[Poll] How would you rebalance CVs Post Nerfs?
Pururut replied to black_falcon120's topic in General Discussion
I would rebalance CVs by nerfing them further. Realistic flooding and fires, damaged flight deck, fuel and range, crash landing, no regeneration, damageable reserves, detonation, reduced aim from AA, you name it. As for other classes I would revise them especially at tier 11 with modern AA, SAM and ASROC. CV players would get just desserts when they lose half their squadron from 20km away. -

Finished grinding Cheshire. First impressions can be summarized as kinda bland but that might be because I have two Cheshire's in the room as I am typing this; one sleeping on the couch and the other trying to sleep on my back while I am sitting. I have mentioned equipping ships with historical gear. Retrofitted 80 or so ships. Doing some research and crafting the right equipment in the gear lab gave some purpose and actual fun to the game besides PR grinding. USA and UK are just superior with their cruisers and carriers respectively. JP and GE have somewhat of an edge in destroyers and submarines. Historical albeit a bit limiting in fleet composition. I wonder how Alaska's design might be. Given the states history and the ships design I expect Minneapolis 2.0 with Inuit clothing and Russian flavor. Either way everything is ready; cubes, dock slot and the oath ring. If only Yostar could announce the next UR stream. -
Too much effort for too little award. Make it a premium container at least.

Carriers are <Objectively> NOT more OP the better the player is.

An idea to increase the value and attractiveness of T2-4 premiums
Pururut replied to InsipidOyster2's topic in General Discussion
Premium ships aside, you are ignoring how stale low tier games are. Little variety in ships, 2-3 CVs per game and non existent AA don't make for an enjoyable game. These tiers need some drastic overhaul; ships, dispersion, armor values, range, etc. Wargaming wont lift a finger. Would you rather focus on selling 6 Mikasas or 1 Kii when the demand is already leaning towards the latter? -
Talk me out of buying the Graf Zeppelin B
Pururut replied to XDMeloniXD's topic in General Discussion
I am seeing this a lot lately on social media; change my view, convince me, talk me out... I mean if you have a stance on something why would you expect someone to come to your door step and tell you otherwise? Shouldn't you be content with what you are? I don't get it. -
Commonwealth of Nations cruisers tech tree
Pururut replied to TheKaramelka's topic in General Discussion
You are kinda asking for it as this is a public forum. Anyways I like the high tier proposals; they can be used as premiums in the future. -
I don't know what to get. Jean Bart and Massachusetts are obsolete, Asashio is impractical. I already have Alaska. The rest is available on armory. If only there were other premiums like Roma.

I am busy at work with Black Friday preparations. Retail is a cursed sector; especially the middle management with its 7 day work schedule. Not much going on besides that. I am not interested in collabs and will skip it like I did with Gridman last year. Haven't done a single PR grind besides Brest but I am considering Plymouth even if her character is a bit off putting. I started equipping certain ships with historical gear. For some reason it gives me happiness and meaning; not sure why. Fingers crossed for Alaska this December. -
The new tech tree is just weird. The progression from Muavenet to Stord is understandable somewhat but the one between Stord and Grom or Grom and Split doesn't make sense. Just make a balanced old fashioned DD line and release unique ships like Dubrovnik for doubloons. It is not the minor navies fault that their ships don't confirm with Wargaming's expectations.

Good thing Muavenet is at tier 5. Going to be easier to get once in early access. -
Upcoming Black-Friday event (Massachusetts or Alaska)
Pururut replied to RM_19's question in Newcomer Questions
They are both obsolete ships. Alaska gets to fight tier 11 and Massa is too vulnerable to HE. -
Given how this is being handled, I wouldn't be surprised if Wargaming releases another Greek Fletcher in the upcoming Pan-EU DD line. I am really disappointed with the first Greek ship being Velos. It should have been Averoff and it being low tier isn't really an excuse considering the announcement of Ning Hai.

A faction based on sail driven ships is probably the last thing I would have expected. Not that I am complaining as the new faction can draw kansen from pretty much any corner of the world. Regardless, I wont pass on the opportunity of equipping Royal Fortune with Musashis' 460mm if allowed. As I was typing this post I got Colombia from 11-4. Not much else going besides stocking up on cubes for the next UR event and the odd PR grind here and there. -
Kii is a secondary focused Amagi. Secondary battleships are obsolete unless you fancy being shotgunned by submarines or getting burnt to death. Ashitaka actually looks decent. Base range is good so lack of spotter plane shouldnt be much of an issue. AA and fighter planes are useless anyways. Mutsu has the same overmatchable armor problem as Nagato but unlike Amagi and Ashitaka, Mutsu doesnt get the same shells as Nagato. Hyugas guns are obsolete for her tier let alone tier 8 and 9. It is like a battlecruiser version of Fuso but without the speed. Ise gives up 1/3 of her firepower for useless planes. Get Ashitaka if you must and stay at mid range. Rest is a waste of money.

The designation for a battleship is BB although given your preferences your own designation wouldn't be too far off the course. Try Soviet battleships; Pyotr Velikiy and Sinop in particular. They have all you want except accuracy. Unlike Italians the accuracy actually gets better at short to mid ranges so build your captain skills and tactics with that in mind. Free XP Izmail.

Even in its unfinished state, the power disparity between tier 9 and 11 is unacceptable. Until Wargaming gets its act together, all future tier 9 purchases are shelved.
